lightweight and high-security laser-based cotton tip pruning robot

Considering the current environmental pollution caused by chemical topping,plant damage caused by mechanical topping,and the high cost of manual topping,a laser-based cotton-tip pruning robot for field cotton was designed in this *** main advantages of this robot include its safety,light weight,low cost,and environmental ***,the structural design,measurement,and corresponding control system design of the robot were ***,a precise laser control method based on Yolov5 cotton top identification and the inverse kinematic solution of parallel robot rapid positioning were ***,the optimal laser irradiation wavelength and duration were ***,a laser-topping experiment was conducted,and the overall accuracy and recall rates for cotton identification were 98.3%and 99.3%,*** AP and mAP at the threshold value of 0.5 reached 99.3%and 78.8%,*** maximum positioning error of the jacking system is 2.6 mm,and the repeated positioning error is within±1.2 cm,which meets the accuracy requirements of laser ***-purple laser irradiation at 15 W and 405 nm for 22 s was the best topping *** the effects of cotton topping with and without manual topping,it can be seen that laser topping significantly improved the yield and *** with the photothermal response of the cotton topping,the feasibility of laser topping was verified both theoretically and *** laser-topping scheme proposed in this study exhibits high efficiency,environmental protection,and safety,as well as good application prospects.

Adaptive Control of lower-limb Exoskeletons for Walking Assistance Based on Inter-Joint Coordination

Unilateral motor impairment can disrupt the coordination between the joints,impeding the patient’s normal *** assist such patients to walk normally and naturally,an adaptive control algorithm based on inter-joint coordination was proposed in this work for lower-limb *** control strategy can generate the reference trajectory of the affected leg in real time based on a motion coordination model between the joints,and adopt an adaptive controller with virtual windows to track the reference *** Short-Term Memory(lSTM)network was also adopted to establish the coordination model between the joints of both lower limbs,which was optimized by preprocessing angle information and adding gait phase *** the adaptive controller,the virtual windows were symmetrically distributed around the reference trajectory,and its width was adjusted according to the gait phase of the auxiliary *** addition,the impedance parameters of the controller were updated online to match the motion capacity of the affected leg based on the spatiotemporal symmetry factors between the bilateral *** lSTM coordination model demonstrated good accuracy and generality in the gait database of seven individuals,with an average root mean square error of 3.5 and 4.1 for the hip and knee joint angle estimation,*** further evaluate the control algorithm,four healthy subjects walked wearing the exoskeleton while additional weights were added around the ankle joint to simulate an asymmetric *** the experimental results,it was shown that the algorithm improved the gait symmetry of the subjects to a normal level while exhibiting great adaptability to different subjects.

Direct observation of oxygen vacancy formation and migration over ceria surface by in situ environmental transmission electron microscopy

The extremely high structural tolerance of ceria to oxygen vacancies(Ov)has made it a desirable catalytic material for the hydrocarbon oxidation to chemicals and pharmaceuticals and the reduction of gaseous *** is proposed that the formation and diffusion of Ov originate from its outstanding reduction ***,the formation and diffusion process of Ov over the surface of ceria at the atomic level is still ***,the structural and valence evolution of CeO_(2)(111)surfaces in reductive,oxidative and vacuum environments from room temperature up to 700℃was studied with in situ aberration-corrected environmental transmission electron microscopy(ETEM)*** is found to form under a high vacuum at elevated temperatures;however,the surface can recover to the initial state through the adsorption of oxygen atoms in an oxygen-contained ***,in hydrogen environment,the step-CeO_(2)(111)surface is not stable at elevated temperatures;thus,the steps tend to be eliminated with increasing *** with first-principles density function calculations(DFT),it is proposed that O-terminated surfaces would develop in a hypoxic environment due to the dynamic diffusion of Ov from the outer surface to the ***,in a reductive environment,H2 facilitates the formation and diffusion of Ov while Ce-terminated surfaces *** results reveal dynamic atomic-scale interplay between the nanoceria surface and gas,thereby providing fundamental insights into the Ov-dependent reaction of nano-CeO_(2) during catalytic processes.

Nitrogen deposition mediates more stochastic processes in structuring plant community than soil microbial community in the Eurasian steppe

Anthropogenic environmental changes may affect community assembly through mediating both deterministic(e.g.,competitive exclusion and environmental filtering)and stochastic processes(e.g.,birth/death and dispersal/colonization).It is traditionally thought that environmental changes have a larger mediation effect on stochastic processes in structuring soil microbial community than aboveground plant community;however,this hypothesis remains largely *** we report an unexpected pattern that nitrogen(N)deposition has a larger mediation effect on stochastic processes in structuring plant community than soil microbial community(thoseluding archaea,bacteria,fungi,and protists)in the Eurasian *** performed a ten-year nitrogen deposition experiment in a semiarid grassland ecosystem in Inner Mongolia,manipulating nine rates(0–50 g N m^(-2)per year)at two frequencies(nitrogen added twice or 12 times per year)under two grassland management strategies(fencing or mowing).We separated the compositional variation of plant and soil microbial communities caused by each treatment into the deterministic and stochastic components with a recently-developed *** nitrogen addition rate increased,the relative importance of stochastic component of plant community first increased and then decreased,while that of soil microbial community first decreased and then *** the whole,the relative importance of stochastic component was significantly larger in plant community(0.552±0.035;mean±standard error)than in microbial community(0.427±0.035).Consistently,the proportion of compositional variation explained by the deterministic soil and community indices was smaller for plant community(0.172–0.186)than microbial community(0.240–0.767).Meanwhile,as nitrogen addition rate increased,the linkage between plant and microbial community composition first became weaker and then became *** larger stochasticity in plant community relative to microbial

Adding PD-1 blockade in the neoadjuvant regimens for locally advanced rectal cancer(lARC)patients with microsatellite stable(MsS)/mismatch repair-proficient(pMMR)tumors is an attractive,but debatable *** phase 2,multicenter,prospective,single-arm study enrolled patients from 6 centers from June 2021 to November *** advanced rectal cancer(lARC,cT_(3-4a)N_(0)M_(0) and cT_(1-4a)N_(1-2)M_(0))patients aged≥18 years with the distance from distal border of tumor to anal verge≤10 cm(identified by Magnetic Resonance Imaging)were qualifed for *** patients received long-course radiotherapy(50 Gy/25 fractions,2 Gy/fraction,5 days/week)and three 21-day cycles capecitabine(850-1000 mg/m2,bid,po,day1-14)and three 21-day cycles tislelizumab(200 mg,***,day8)as *** mesorectal excision(TME)was 6-12 weeks after the end of radiotherapy to achieve radical resection.A total of 50 patients were enrolled in this *** pathological complete response rate was 40.0%[20/50,95%confidence interval(CI):27.61-53.82%],while 15(30.0%,95%CI:19.1-43.75%),9(18.0%,95%CI:9.77-30.8%),2(4.0%,95%CI:1.10-13.46%)patients respectively achieved grade 1,2,and 3 tumor ***-related adverse events(TRAEs)occurred in 28(56.0%)lARC patients,including 26(52.0%)with grade I-II and 2(4.0%)with grade II(1 with grade 3 immune-related colitis and 1 with grade 3 rash).PD-1 blockade plus long-course chemoradiotherapy(CRT)showed promising therapeutic effects according to pathological complete response rate and is well-tolerated in lARC patients.A larger randomized controlled study is desired to further validate the above findings.
