Extending the ionic conductivity is the pre-requisite of electrolytes in fuel cell technology for high-electrochemical *** this regard,the introduction of semiconductor-oxide materials and the approach of heterostructure formation by modulating energy bands to enhance ionic conduction acting as an electrolyte in fuel ***(n-type;SnO_(2))plays a key role by introducing into p-type SrFe_(0.2)Ti_(0.8)O_(3-δ)(SFT)semiconductor perovskite materials to construct p-n heterojunction for high ionic ***,two different composites of SFT and SnO_(2)are constructed by gluing p-and n-type SFT-SnO_(2),where the optimal composition of SFT-SnO_(2)(6∶4)heterostructure electrolyte-based fuel cell achieved excellent ionic conductivity 0.24 S cm^(-1)with power-output of 1004 mW cm^(-2)and high OCV 1.12 V at a low operational temperature of 500℃.The high power-output and significant ionic conductivity with durable operation of 54 h are accredited to SFT-SnO_(2)heterojunction formation including interfacial conduction assisted by a built-in electric field in fuel cell ***,the fuel conversion efficiency and considerable Faradaic efficiency reveal the compatibility of SFT-SnO_(2)heterostructure electrolyte and ruled-out short-circuiting ***,the first principle calculation provides sufficient information on structure optimization and energy-band structure modulation of SFT-SnO_(2).This strategy will provide new insight into semiconductor-based fuel cell technology to design novel electrolytes.

Expression and Characterization of human heart Type Fatty Acid Binding Protein in Pichia Pastoris

h-FABP is regarded as a tissue-specific protein existing only in myocardial cells. It is released from the cardiac tissue and gets into the plasma when a heart attack occurs; the myocardial infarction is a good case in point. As a resuit, the detection of h-FABP will be an early and important biomarker for the disease concerned. The objective of the study is to prepare the recombinant h-FABP by aeukaryotic expression system, pichia, to produce the protein mimicking natural h-FABP, as an immunogen for the production of the specific antibody. A gene fragment encoding h-FABP was cloned in the expressing vector pPICZα, after sequencing. The recombinant plasmid was transformed into the competent cells of the X-33 strain by means of electroporation. The expression of the target peptide induced by methanol was screened by means of Western hlotting, with the available MAb（Clone 6B6）. highly expressive engineer strains were obtained. The production of recombinant h-FABP under induction was about 0.7 g/L, with an Mr of 14.5 kDa and recognized by a commercially available MAb （Clone 6B6）. The recombinant vector was successfully constructed. Following this, h-FABP was expressed in X-33, and it would become the source of the preparation of specific antibodies, to develop diagnostic kits.

Rapid aerobic granulation using biochar for the treatment of petroleum refinery wastewater

Aerobic granular sludge technology has great potential for the treatment of petroleum refinery ***,strategies to shorten the granulation time and improvement the stability still need to be *** this work,biochar was prepared from waste petroleum activated sludge(biochar-WPS) and used in a sequencing batch reactor for the treatment of petroleum refinery ***-WPS presented the surface area of 229.77 m2/g,pore volume of 0.28 cm3/g,h/C and O/C atomic ratios of 0.42 and 0.21,*** porous structure and a high degree of hydrophilicity were found to facilitate microbial colonization and adhesion as well as particle *** of biochar-WPS resulted in the formation of more substantial and stable aerobic granules(~66% of granules> 0.46 mm diameter) 15 days earlier compared with the *** addition of biochar-WPS enhanced the average removal efficiency of chemical organic demand(~3%),oil(~4%)and total nitrogen(~10%) over the *** microbial richness and diversity were observed within the formed granules and had an increased(~4%) proportion of denitrifying *** results indicate that an aerobic granulation mechanism using biochar-WPS is a feasible option for the treatment of petroleum refinery wastewater.

The Nuri deposit is the only Cu-W-Mo polymetallic deposit with large-scale WO3 resources in the eastern section of the Gangdese metallogenic belt,Tibet,***,the genetic type of this deposit has been controversial since its *** on a study of the geological characteristics of the deposit,this study presents mineralization stages,focusing on the oxide stage and the quartz-sulfide stage where scheelite is mainly formed,referred to as Sch-A and Sch-B,*** LA-ICP-MS trace element and Sr isotope analyses,the origin,evolutionary process of the oreforming fluid and genesis of the ore deposit are *** Electron Microscope-Cathodoluminescence(SEMCL)observations reveal that Sch-A consists of three generations,with dark gray homogenous Sch-A1 being replaced by relatively lighter and homogeneous Sch-A2 and Sch-A3,with Sch-A2 displaying a gray CL image color with vague and uneven growth bands and Sch-A3 has a light gray CL image color with hardly any growth *** contrast,Sch-B exhibits a‘core-rim’structure,with the core part(Sch-B1)being dark gray and displaying a uniform growth band,while the rim part(Sch-B2)is light gray and *** normalized distribution pattern of rare earth elements in scheelite and Sr isotope data suggest that the early ore-forming fluid in the Nuri deposit originated from granodiorite porphyry and,later on,some country rock material was mixed in,due to strong water-rock *** the O-h isotope data further indicates that the ore-forming fluid in the Nuri deposit originated from magmatic-hydrothermal sources,with contributions from metamorphic water caused by water-rock interaction during the mineralization process,as well as later meteoric *** intense water-rock interaction likely played a crucial role in the precipitation of scheelite,leading to varying Eu anomalies in different generations of scheelite from the oxide stage to the quartz-sulfide stage,while also causing a

Comprehensive Summary To better understand the impact of different anions on the structures and SCO properties of the CoII SCO complexes,six new complexes[Co(terpy-Ch_(2)Oh)_(2)]A_(2)·sol(terpy-Ch_(2)Oh=4′-(hydroxymethyl)-2,2′;6′,2″-terpyridine,A=Br^(–)(1,sol=1.5h_(2)O),I^(–)(2),N_(3)^(–)(3,sol=2h_(2)O),h_(3)BCN^(–)(4),OTf^(–)(5),and TsO^(–)(6,sol=4h_(2)O·Ch_(3)CN),have been synthesized and *** six compounds consist of mononuclear[Co(terpy-Ch_(2)Oh)_(2)]^(2+)cations and charge-balancing anions that differ in size,shape,and hydrogen bonding *** 1,2,3,and 6 displayed incomplete gradual SCO transitions,whereas 4 and 5 exhibited abrupt hysteretic spin transitions with loops of 12 and 16 K(250.0—262.0 K for 4,and 370.0—386.0 K for 5,respectively),closely resembling our previously reported complexes with SCN^(–)and SeCN^(–)*** occurrence of the order-disorder transition of the Ch2Oh groups and their transition temperatures are determined by the size and hydrogen bonding capability of the ***,the transition temperatures of complexes with h_(3)BCN^(–),SCN^(–),OTf^(–),and SeCN^(–)anions exhibit an upward trend as the size and mass of the anions increase,as confirmed through detailed single crystal structure analyses conducted in both high-spin and low-spin states for all four complexes.

A promising method for recovery of LiMn_(2)O_(4) and graphite from waste lithium-ion batteries: Roasting enhanced flotation

In this study,a roasting enhanced flotation process was proposed to recover LiMn_(2)O_(4) and grapite from waste lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).The effects of roasting temperature and time on the surface modification was investigated,and a series of analytical technologies were used to reveal process *** results indicate that LiMn_(2)O_(4) can be effectively separated from graphite via flotation after the *** flotation grade of LiMn_(2)O_(4) was significantly increased from 63.10%to 91.36%after roasting at 550℃for 2 *** TG-DTG analysis demonstrates that the difficulty in flotation separation of LiMn_(2)O_(4) from graphite is caused by the organic binder and electrolytes coating on their *** XRD,SEM,XPS,and contact angle analyses confirm that the organic films on the surfaces of those materials can be effectively removed by roasting,after which the wettability of LiMn_(2)O_(4) is regained and thus the surface wettability difference between the cathode and anode materials is increased *** closed-circuit flotation test indicates that a LiMn_(2)O_(4) sample with high grade of 99.81%is obtained,while the recovery of LiMn_(2)O_(4) is as high as 99.40%.This study provides an economical and eco-friendly way to recycling waste LIBs.

New insights into the role of spermine in enhancing the antioxidant capacity of rat spleen and liver under oxidative stress

Oxidative stress can damage cellular antioxidant defense and reduce livestock production *** is a ubiquitous cellular component that plays important roles in stabilizing nucleic acids,modulating cell growth and differentiation, and regulating ion channel activities. Spermine has the potential to alleviate the effects of oxidative stress. however, to date no information is available about the effect of spermine administration on antioxidant property of the liver and spleen in any mammalian in vivo system. This study aims to investigate the protective effect of spermine on rat liver and spleen under oxidative stress. Rats received intragastric administration of either 0.4 μmol/g body weight of spermine or saline once a day for 3 days. The rats in each treatment were then injected with either diquat or sterile saline at 12 mg/kg body weight. Liver and spleen samples were collected 48 h after the last spermine *** showed that regardless of diquat treatment, spermine administration significantly reduced the malondialdehyde(MDA) content by 23.78% in the liver and by 5.75% in the spleen, respectively(P hanced the catalase(CAT) activity, anti-hydroxyl radical(AhR) capacity and glutathione(GSh) content by 38.68%, 15.53% and 1.32% in the spleen, respectively(Phere were interactions between spermine administration and diquat injection about anti-superoxide anion(ASA),AhR capacity, CAT activity, GSh content, and total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC) in the liver and about ASA capacity and T-AOC in the spleen of weaned rats(P h the control group, spermine administration significantly increased the AhR capacity, CAT activity, GSh content, and T-AOC by 40.23%,31.15%, 30.25%, 35.37% in the liver, respectively(P he T-AOC by 8% in the spleen of weaned rats(P h the diquat group, spermine + diquat group significantly increased ASA capacity by 15.63
