In order to understand whether the ameliorating effect on old ages memory disorder by the root of Salvia miltiorhiza is related to the acetylcholinesterase （ACHE） inhibition, two main ingredients, salvianolic acid B （1） and rosmarinic acid （2）, which were isolated from S. miltiorhiza water extract, were investigated in vitro by NMR relaxation rate in this work. The results showed that the proton selective relaxation rates and the molecular rotational correlation time of proton pairs for compounds 1 and 2 increased significantly by adding of AChE in mixing solution. The study reveals that the two compounds might bind to the enzyme and have ACHE inhibitory effect, which could contribute to the ameliorating effect at some extent on old ages memory disorder.

The present study examined the association between residential indoor remodeling and poor semen quality. Sperm donors aged 18-45 years old were recruited in Shanghai, China. Semen specimens were collected and analyzed. An in-person interview was conducted to obtain information on the history of indoor remodeling and potential confounders. A total of 70 participants with abnormal semen quality （case group） and 68 controls were examined. A total of 20 subjects reported indoor remodeling in the recent 24 months, and among them 17 subjects reported indoor remodeling in the recent 12 months. Compared with participants with no history of indoor remodeling, participants with a history of indoor remodeling in the recent 24 months were more than three times as likely to have poor sperm quality （adjusted odds ratio = 3.8, 95% confidence interval： 1.3-12.0） after controlling for potential confounders. The association was strengthened when the analysis was restricted to those who had indoor remodeling in the recent 12 months. Our findings provide preliminary evidence that indoor remodeling has an adverse effect on semen quality.

BACKGROUND Castleman disease, also known as giant lymph node hyperplasia, was first reported in 1956. It is a rare benign proliferative pathological change of the lymph *** SUMMARY The patient, a 33-year-old woman, had epigastric distension for half a *** were performed in a local hospital. Computed tomography scan showed round soft tissue nodules, about 5.45 cm in diameter, in the hepaticgastric space. Endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration was performed on the patient. Rapid on-site evaluation,hematoxylin eosin staining and histopathology of the puncture smear was performed. According to the Diff-Quik staining and hematoxylin eosin staining results of preoperative endoscopic ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration puncture smears as well as the immunohistochemistry results, Castleman disease was highly suspected. A sufficient preoperative evaluation was made, and a precise surgical plan was developed. Postoperative pathology confirmed Castleman *** Endoscopic ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration can extract internal tissues of the tumor for histological and cytological examinations and provide accurate diagnosis as much as possible. Therefore, a sufficient preoperative evaluation can be made, and a precise surgical plan can be developed.

Backgroud Numerous studies have confirmed the effectiveness of slowing the progression of atherosclerosis by blood pressure （Bp） control in patients with hypertension and several studies also showed the efficacy of intensive glycemic control in decreasing progression of carotid intima-media thickness （CIMT） in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. However, few studies have compared the relative importance of glycemic w＇. Bp control in patients with diabetes and hypertension. We aimed to investigate the association between Bp and glycemic control and subclinical carotid atherosclerosis in older patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes. Methods In a cross-sectional study, B-mode high-resolution ultrasonography of the carotid artery was performed in 670 subjects （508 males and 162 females） aged 60 years or over who had self-reported hypertension and diabetes but no history of coronary heart disease or stroke. Subjects were categorized by their systolic blood pressure： tight control, 〈 130 mmHg; usual control, 130-139 mmHg; or uncontrolled, 〉 140 mmHg, and by their hemoglobin Alc （HbAlc） level： tight control, 〈 6.5%; usual control, 6.5%-7.5%; or uncontrolled, 〉 7.5%, respectively. Results The mean CIMT was 8.20 ±0.11 mm, and carotid plaque was found in 52.5% （352/670） subjects. Overall, 62.1% of the subjects had subclinical carotid atherosclerosis, defined as having either carotid plaque or elevated CIMT （≥ 1.1 ram）. The mean CIMT was significantly different between Bp control categories （7.60 ± 0.09 mm, 7.90 ±0.08 mm, and 8.60 ± 0.12 mm, respectively, P = 0.03） but not between glycemic control categories （8.20± 0.10 mm, 8.1 ±0.08 mm, and 8.40 ± 0.14 ram, respectively, P = 0.13） using ANCOVA analysis. We present a study of low surface brightness galaxies(LSBGs) selected by fitting the images for all the galaxies inα.40 SDSS DR7 sample with two kinds of single-component models and two kinds of two-component models(disk+bulge):single exponential,single sersic,exponential+deVaucular(exp+deV),and exponential+sérsic(exp+ser).Under the criteria of the B band disk central surface brightness μ_(0,disk)(B)≥22.5 mag arcsec^(-2) and the axis ratio b/a> 0.3,we selected four none-edge-on LSBG samples from each of the models which contain 1105,1038,207,and 75 galaxies,*** are 756 galaxies in common between LSBGs selected by exponential and sersic models,corresponding to 68.42% of LSBGs selected by the exponential model and 72.83% of LSBGs selected by the sersic model,the rest of the discrepancy is due to the difference in obtaining μ_(0) between the exponential and sersic *** on the fitting,in the range of 0.5≤n≤1.5,the relation of μ_(0) from two models can be written as μ_(0,sérsic)-μ_(0,exp)=-1.34(n-1).The LSBGs selected by disk+bulge models(LSBG_(2)comps) are more massive than LSBGs selected by single-component models(LSBG_1comp),and also show a larger disk *** the bulges in the majority of our LSBG_(2)comps are not prominent,more than 60% of our LSBG_(2)comps will not be selected if we adopt a single-component model *** also identified 31 giant low surface brightness galaxies(gLSBGs) from LSBG_(2)*** are located at the same region in the color-magnitude diagram as other *** we compared different criteria of gLSBGs selection,we find that for gas-rich LSBGs,M_(*)> 10^(10)M_⊙ is the best to distinguish between gLSBGs and normal LSBGs with bulge.

From ∼5000 deg^(2) of the combination of the Beijing–Arizona Sky Survey and Mayall z-band Legacy Survey which is also the northern sky region of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) Legacy Imaging Surveys, we selected a sample of 31,825 candidates of low surface brightness galaxies (LSBGs) with the mean effective surface brightness 24.2 0.60) LSBGs. The blue LSBGs appear spiral, disk or irregular while the red LSBGs are spheroidal or elliptical and spatially clustered. This trend shows that the color has a strong correlation with galaxy morphology for LSBGs. In the spatial distribution, the blue LSBGs are more uniformly distributed while the red ones are highly clustered, indicating that red LSBGs preferentially populate a denser environment than the blue LSBGs. Besides, both populations have a consistent distribution of ellipticity (median ∈∼ 0.3), half-light radius (median r_(eff) ∼ 4″) and Sérsic index (median n=1), implying the dominance of the full sample by the round and disk galaxies. This sample has definitely extended the studies of LSBGs to a regime of lower surface brightness, fainter magnitude and broader other properties than the previously Sloan Digital Sky Survey-based samples.

Dielectric and energy storage properties of PbOSrO-Na_(2)O-Nb_(2)O_(5)-SiO_(2)(PSNNS) thin films with annealing temperature from 700 to 850 ℃ were investigated by measuring their capacitance-electric filed curve and hysteresis *** results show that the highest dielectric constant and energy density are 81.2 and 17.0 J·cm^(-3),respectively,which is obtained in the sample with annealing temperature of 800 ℃.Annealed from 700 to800 ℃,the dielectric constant and energy storage performance of PSNNS films are continuously ***,with annealing temperature up to 850 ℃,their dielectric constant decreases,which might be related with the removal of interfacial defects as a function of annealing *** is one of the causes of space charge phenomenon,resulting in the increase in dielectric ***,the micro structure analysis by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and transmission electron microscope(TEM) indicates that the change of crystallization phase and interfacial polarization takes responsibility to the results.

Hepatitis G virus infection in patients with chronic non-A-E hepatitis

AIM To elucidate the role of hepatitis G virus (HGV) infection in chronic non A E hepatitis and sequence the partial NS5 genome of HGV in the serum of a Chinese patient with chronic non A E hepatitis. METHODS Total nucleic acids were extracted from the sera of patients with chronic non A E hepatitis and subjected to reverse transcriptase nested polymerase chain reaction (RT nested PCR) using primers from the putative NS5 region of HGV genome. 994bp cDNA was obtained from the positive serum and was directly sequenced using dideoxy mediated chain termination method after purified with electrophoresis of polyacrylamide gels. RESULTS HGV RNA was detected in 1 of 35 patients with chronic non A E hepatitis. Compared with the 2 American HGV isolates (PNF2161 and R10291), the homology of HGV NS5 gene of this Beijing isolate (HG G) was 88 0% and 89 2% respectively, while compared with West African isolate (GBV C), it was 93 5%. This patient had persistent increase of ALT but soon became normal after interferon therapy with persistent positive HGV RNA. CONCLUSION HGV is one of the causes of chronic non A E hepatitis, however, it may not be a very important cause. The nucleotide sequence of partial NS5 gene of HG G is highly homologous with the West Africa isolate.
