Bacterial infection hampers wound repair by impeding the healing ***,inflammation at the wound site triggers the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS),causing oxidative stress and damage to proteins and *** can lead to chronic wounds,posing severe ***,eliminating bacterial infection and reducing ROS levels are crucial for effective wound ***,possessing enzyme-like catalytic activity,can convert endogenous substances into highly toxic substances,such as ROS,to combat bacteria and biofilms without inducing drug ***,the current nanozyme model with single enzyme activity falls short of meeting the complex requirements of antimicrobial ***,developing nanozymes with multiple enzymatic activities is ***,we engineered a novel metalloenzyme called Ru-procyanidin nanoparticles(Ru-PC NPs)with diverse enzymatic activities to aid wound healing and combat bacterial *** acidic conditions,due to their glutathione(GSH)depletion and peroxidase(POD)-like activity,Ru-PC NPs combined with H2O2 exhibit excellent antibacterial ***,in a neutral environment,the Ru-PC NPs,with catalase(CAT)activity,decompose H2O2 to O2,alleviating hypoxia and ensuring a sufficient oxygen ***,Ru-PC NPs possess exceptional antioxidant capacity through their superior superoxide dismutase(SOD)enzyme activity,effectively scavenging excess ROS and reactive nitrogen species(RNS)in a neutral *** maintains the balance of the antioxidant system and prevents ***-PC NPs also promote the polarization of macrophages from M1 to M2,facilitating wound *** importantly,Ru-PC NPs show good biosafety with negligible *** vivo wound infection models have confirmed the efficacy of Ru-PC NPs in inhibiting bacterial infection and promoting wound *** focus of this work highlights the quadruple enzymatic activity of Ru-PC NPs and its potential to reduce inf

Super-high bed sintering for iron ores:behaviors,causes and solutions of horizontal segregation on strand

Horizontal segregation has been a constraint to the development and application of super-high bed *** eliminate the horizontal segregation of super-high bed sintering,several typical sintering machines were sampled and analyzed,and theoretical calculation was made to compare the bed depth and their differences in different areas within the mixture ***,solutions were proposed and applied to a 265 m^(2) sintering *** results showed that the horizontal seg-regation of the 265 m^(2) sintering machine was dominated by particles larger than 8 mm with horizontal segregation degree of 0.48,while 360 and 550 m^(2) sintering machines were affected by 5-8 mm and 1-3 mm particles with horizontal segregation degree of 0.27 and 0.31,*** analysis indicated the different segregation distribution results from the matching of the bed depth of each area within the mixture ***,the horizontal segregation degree not larger than 0.06 was achieved by optimizing the time parameters and the division of three zones on the 265 m^(2) sintering machine.

The inhomogeneous sinter properties in super-high bed sintering have been reported in our previous *** inves-tigate the reasons for the inhomogeneous phenomena,detailed sampling and analysis of mixed material bed and sintered bed in super-high bed sintering plant were *** results indicated that the higher porosity and thinner dendrite of silico-ferrite of calcium and aluminum in the upper layer as well as dense structure and higher secondary hematite content in the lower layer led to the heterogeneities of mechanical strength and reduction properties exceeding 20%and 10%,*** the bed top downward,the basicity of mixed material decreased from 2.13 to 1.68 because the average particle size increased from 2.65 to 4.56 *** and fuels gathered in finer particles(-3 mm)of mixed material,and the-3 mm particles of mixed material generated more liquid phase than+3 mm *** heat input of super-high sintering bed was inhomogeneous due to the heat accumulation effect and unreasonable fuel *** inhomo-geneous sintering heat condition in sintering bed resulted in the different quantities and properties of liquid *** inhomogeneous quantities and properties of liquid phase that were influenced by inhomogeneous distribution of chemical composition,particle size,and heat input led to inhomogeneous mineralizing *** mineralizing condition is the key for homogeneous super-high bed sintering.

Ice sheet serves as a crucial indicator for assessing climate *** loss in recent remote sensing-based studies indicated that the Antarctic Peninsula has rapid rates of glacier retreat and speed up of surface ***,observations of seasonal variability of ice speed are limited,and glacier-area changes require multi-temporal *** study investigated the changes in area and surface velocities of∼375 glaciers on the northern Antarctic Peninsula(NAP)utilizing satellite images acquired by the Sentinel 1&2 satellites during *** results indicate that the glacier area reduced by approximately 166.1±44.2 km^(2)(-0.2%±0.1%per year)during the study period,with an acceleration after 2020(-0.4%±0.3%per year),and the most dramatic reduction happened on the eastern *** maximum annual ice speeds on the NAP generally exceeded 3500 m per year,while the ice speeds in 2021 were the highest(exceeded 4210 m per year).The ice speed variability in austral autumn was higher than in other seasons,meanwhile the summer ice speeds showed an increasing *** glacier G012158E47018N,McNeile Glacier,glacier G299637E64094S and Drygalski Glacier showed the most remarkable ice speed variations represented by high daily velocities and strong fluctuations on their *** results demonstrated that the variations in glacier area and seasonal ice speed on the NAP were responsive to the ice-ocean-atmosphere ***,seasonal velocity and area variations should be considered when conducting accurate mass balance calculations,model validations and change mechanism analyses under climate warming scenarios.

Data-driven mapping-relationship mining between hardness and mechanical properties of dual-phase titanium alloys via random forest and statistical analysis

In order to accelerate the research on the property optimization of titanium alloy based on high-throughput methods,it is necessary to reveal the relationship between hardness and other mechanical properties which is still *** this work,taking Ti20C alloy as research object,almost all the microstructure of dual-phase titanium alloys were covered by traversing over 100 heat treatment ***,massive experiments including microstructure characterization and performance test were conducted,obtaining 51,590 pieces of microstructure data and 3591 pieces of mechanical property ***,based on large-scale data-driven technology,the quantitative mapping relationship between hardness and other mechanical properties was deeply *** results of random forest models showed that the correlation between hardness(H)and Charpy impact energy(A_(k))(or elongation,A)was hardly dependent on the microstructure types,while the relationship between H and tensile strength(R_(m))(or yield strength,R_(p0.2))was highly dependent on microstructure ***,combined with statistical analysis,it was found that the relationship between H and Ak(or A)were negatively ***,the relationship between H and strength was positively linear for equiaxed microstructure,and strength was linked to d^(−1/2)(d,equivalent circle diameter)ofα-grains in the form of classical Hall–Petch formula;but for other microstructures,the relationships were ***,the above rules were nearly the same in the rolling direction and transverse ***,a"four-quadrant partition map"between H and R_(p0.2)/R_(m) was established as a versatile material-screening tool,which can provide guidance for on-demand selection of titanium alloys.

BACKGROUND Robotic surgery(RS)is gaining popularity;however,evidence for abdominoperineal resection(APR)of rectal cancer(RC)is *** To compare the efficacy of RS and laparoscopic surgery(LS)in APR for *** we retrospectively identified patients with RC who underwent APR by RS or LS from April 2016 to June *** regarding short-term surgical outcomes were compared between the two *** reduce the effect of potential confounding factors,propensity score matching was used,with a 1:1 ratio between the RS and LS groups.A meta-analysis of seven trials was performed to compare the efficacy of robotic and laparoscopic APR for RC *** Of 133 patients,after propensity score matching,there were 42 patients in each *** postoperative complication rate was significantly lower in the RS group(17/42,40.5%)than in the LS group(27/42,64.3%)(P=0.029).There wasno significant difference in operative time(P=0.564),intraoperative transfusion(P=0.314),reoperation rate(P=0.314),lymph nodes harvested(P=0.309),or circumferential resection margin(CRM)positive rate(P=0.314)between the two *** meta-analysis showed patients in the RS group had fewer positive CRMs(P=0.04),lesser estimated blood loss(Pwer postoperative complications(P=0.002)than patients in the LS *** Our study shows that RS is a safe and effective approach for APR in RC and offers better short-term outcomes than LS.
