Comprehensive Summary,The Pd-catalyzed dipolar cycloaddition represents a significant synthetic strategy for the construction of useful heterocyclic *** study developed the dipolar[4+2]and[6+2]cycloaddition reactions of benzo[d]isothiazole 1,1-dioxides(BDs)leading to the synthesis of BD-fused 1,3-oxazinane and 1,3-oxazocane derivatives,*** particular,the synthesis of BD-fused 1,3-oxazinanes demonstrated regio-and enantioselective characteristics,resulting in products with good yields,enantioselectivity and regioselectivity(if applicable).Furthermore,the[6+2]cycloaddition reaction developed in this work represented the first strategy for the synthesis of medium-sized ring compounds based on BDs.

Sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus is an ideal model organism for marine invertebrate aestivation;it annually enters a“sleeping state”for nearly 3 months when ambient water temperature range is 25–30℃.The natural fasting is accompanied by remodeling the intestinal biota and function,which is a part of host biology and could affect the gut *** investigatesd the impact of annual aestivation on gut microbiota using high-throughput sequencing of 16S rRNA *** reveal a notable alteration in the composition of gut bacteria during aestivation during which various indigenous families and genera that exhibit a preference for dietary glycans(e.g.,family Rhodobacteraceae and Flavobacteriaceae)decreased,while the taxa capable of utilizing substrates derived from the host(e.g.,genus Akkermansia and Prevotella)increased,and so did certain opportunistic pathogenic ***,the investigation delved into the gut morphology and immunity response of *** and reveal that the intestine of *** undergoes substantial atrophy and degeneration during ***,there was an observed augmentation in the levels of acid and neutral mucin within mucous cells,as well as an enhanced immune defense response(as evidenced by increased gene expression of AjTLR3,LITAF,Ajp105,and LYZ).These results imply that the composition of sea cucumber gut microbiota differed between aestivation and active periods,which potentially affects the intestinal functions of the host and the symbiotic relationship between host and its microbiota over the activeaestivation cycle.

extreme droughts are anticipated to have detrimental impacts on forest ecosystems,especially in water-limited regions,due to the influence of climate ***,considerable uncertainty remains regarding the patterns in species-specific responses to extreme ***,we conducted a study integrating dendrochronology and remote sensing methods to investigate the mosaic-distributed maple-oak(native)natural forests and poplar plantations(introduced)in the Horqin Sandy Land,Northeast *** assessed the impacts of extreme droughts on tree performances by measuring interannual variations in radial growth and vegetation *** results showed that precipitation and self-calibrated palmer drought severity index(scPDSI)are the major factors influencing tree-ring width index(RWI)and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI).The severe droughts between 2000 and 2004 resulted in reduced RWI in the three studied tree species as well as led to NDVI reductions in both the maple-oak natural forests and the poplar *** RWI reached the nadir during the2000-2004 severe droughts and remained at low levels two years after the severe drought,creating a legacy *** contrast to the lack of significant correlation between RWI and scPDSI,NDVI exhibited a significant positive correlation with scPDSI indicating the greater sensitivity of canopy performance to droughts than radial ***,interspecific differences in RWI and NDVI responses were observed,with the fast-growing poplar species experiencing a more significant RWI decrease and more negative NDVI anomaly during severe droughts than native species,highlighting the species-specific trade-offs between drought resilience and growth *** study emphasizes the importance of combining tree-level radial growth with landscape-scale canopy remote sensing to understand forest resilience and *** study improves our understanding of forest responses to extreme drought and highlights species di

Launching and recovering human-occupied vehicles(HOVs)has always been a challenging *** current recovery process requires staff to manually complete the tethering task,which is inefficient and endangers the lives of *** paper suggests moving the recovery position from the surface to underwater at approximately half the wavelength of the water depth(30−50 m underwater),where the HOV experiences less environmental *** ROV equipped with a ultra-short baseline beacon(USBL)and a manipulator was used to complete the tethering ***,a shackle customized to the shape of the manipulator’s gripper is fitted to the end of the cable to simplify the tethering *** investigate the dynamic response of recovering the HOV using this suggested method,a comprehensive numerical model is developed in this *** effects of wind,surface waves,ocean currents,and nonlinear interaction between the installation vessel and the HOV are quantitatively *** results show that the proposed recovery method can reduce the motion amplitude of the HOV and that the wave has the greatest influence on the dynamic response of the HOV during the recovery *** model provides better insight into the proposed HOV recovery method and confirms the effectiveness of the heave compensation *** proposed approach aims to enhance safety and operational efficiency by reducing direct human involvement in the recovery process and mitigating potential *** finding holds particular significance,especially in environmentally sensitive areas,where reducing the impact on the surrounding ecosystem is crucial.

Lithium-ion battery(LIB)is the key technology for climate change *** sustainability of LIB supply chain has caused widespread concern since the material utilization efficiency of LIB supply chain has not been well *** study aims to fill this research gap by conducting a dynamic material flow analysis of lithium in China from 2015 to *** indicate that within the temporal boundary,lithium flow and in-use stock grew significantly in China due to the rapid development of the eV market,with lithium flow in domestic production of basic chemicals increasing by 614%to 100 kt,end-use consumption increasing by 160%to 35 kt,and in-use stock increasing by 62%to 195 *** has been a net importer of lithium,of which cumulative imports and exports were 343 kt and 169 kt,*** addition,103 kt of lithium was converted to inventories or was lost during the processing from 2015 to *** optimizing inventory and processing,developing substitutes for lithium for non-battery applications,and improving lithium recycling,China's net import dependency of lithium could be reduced from 27%-86%to 0%-16%.Our study demonstrates that it is urgent to improve material utilization efficiency so that the lithium resource supply can be secured.

Quasi-solid-state lithium metal batteries(QSSLMBs)assembled with polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)are a promising class of next-generation rechargeable batteries due to their safety,high energy density,and superior interfacial ***,PVDF has a series of inherent drawbacks such as low ionic conductivity,ease of crystallization,and hydrophobic character that leading to poor cell *** tackle these issues,a lignin-reinforced PVDF electrolyte is proposed in this work to solve these drawbacks of PVDF and enhance the comprehensive performance of *** lithophilic polar groups of lignin can promote uniform deposition of Li on the *** with the improved mechanical properties can efficiently prevent Li dendrites penetration through the *** addition,more active sites provided by lignin can also enhance Li^(+)transport and lead to a faster electrochemical reaction *** from the ingenious design,Li symmetric cells with 5%lignin-PVDF quasi-solid-state electrolyte can operate for 900 h at a high current density/capacity of 5 mA·cm^(-2)/5 mAh·cm^(-2),while shortcircuiting occurs after 56 h for the counterpart(pure PVDF).Moreover,a full cell of Li/5%lignin-PVDF/LFP cell demonstrates a high capacity of 96.2 mAh·g^(-1)after 2000 cycles at 10 *** work is expected to open up promising opportunities to develop other high-energy/power-density QSSLMBs.
