Performance Analysis of Analog Butterworth Low Pass Filter as Compared to Chebyshev Type-I Filter, Chebyshev Type-II Filter and Elliptical Filter

A signal is the entity that carries information. In the field of communication signal is the time varying quantity or functions of time and they are interrelated by a set of different equations, but some times processing of signal is corrupted due to adding some noise in the information signal and the information signal become noisy. It is very important to get the information from corrupted signal as we use filters. In this paper, Butterworth filter is designed for the signal analysis and also compared with other filters. It has maximally flat response in the pass band otherwise no ripples in the pass band. To meet the specification, 6th order Butterworth filter was chosen because it is flat in the pass band and has no amount of ripples in the stop band.

Generation of Electric Power from Domestic Cooking System

This study work related with floating of an idea about conversion of reclaimed thermal energy from domestic cooking system into the electrical power. There were different techniques in use worldwide for harnessing the energy into the appropriate useful work and also to create efficient system for the energy conversion process. The ignorance in this regard might be due to the reason that this wastage did not cost too much for a single home on per day or per month basis, but it could be a ample amount of cost if integrated this loss for a whole city or on yearly bases for a single home. The idea in this work depended upon the recovery of waste heat from Pressure Cookers used in the houses for the domestic cooking purposes, and optimized the reclaimed thermal energy for the conversion into electric power. This research work related with losses of energy discussed and analyzed on the basis of thermo dynamically regarding (a) the wastage of thermal energy escaped through the system due to the spreading of exhaust vapors and taking away significant amount of thermal energy;(b) losses of enthalpy through the dissipate steam;(c) heat losses in the tubing from the Pressure Cooker to the turbine;(d) electric power produces from the system. In this work, new methods were advised, in order to reduce the losses of thermal energy from the system. It would open the venue for researchers to promote this new idea in near future.

Effects of Convolvulus arvensis Water Extract on Germination of Okra Under Different Seed Sizes

Convolvulus arvensis is a toxic allelopathic weed that suppresses germination and growth of crops. The prime object of present study was to investigate effect of Convolvulus arvensis water extract on germination and performance of okra with different seed sizes. The seeds of okra variety pusa green were separated into three different sizes, viz large size （4.00-5.00 mm）, medium size （3.00-3.50 mm） and small size （2.00-3.50 mm）, and then soaked in allelopathic plant bindweed water extract and kept in patrisdishes for germination into the germinator at 15℃. The experiment was laid out using Complete Randomized Design （CRD） with three replications. The results showed that after sowing of 12 days the highest germination was observed in non-treated seeds as compared to seeds treated in Convolvulus arvensis water extract for 1 h, further non-treated large seeds produced maximum plants as compared to treated small seeds after sowing of 24 days. Meanwhile, root length, shoot length, root fresh and dry weight, shoot fresh and dry weight were recorded higher in non-treated large seeds as compared to small seeds soaked for 1 h in Convolvulus arvensis allelopthic water extract. It could be found that Convolvulus arvensis affected germination, seed growth and overall performance of okra, further presence Convolvulus arvensis in crops could cause negative impact on germination and integrity of okra crops.
