Background Intra-cerebral hemorrhage （ICH） is a devastating complication that can result from superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery （STA-mCA） bypass in patients undergoing treatment for steno-occlusive cerebrovascular disease （CVD）.There is a clinical need to find the possible risk factors to prevent ICH,as it is a significant cause of mortality and *** aim of the study was to investigate the factors associated with delayed ICH after STA-mCA bypass in patients with steno-occlusive *** We retrospectively analyzed the records of 163 patients seen from 2002 to 2011 with STA-mCA bypass for steno-occlusive cerebrovascular diseases at the Department of Neurosurgery,Xuan Wu Hospital,*** and clinical data,including age,gender,vascular risk factors,preoperative syndrome,preoperative National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale （NIHSS）,ipsilateral ischemic lesions,classification of steno-occlusive CVDs,donor branches of STA,graft patency,postoperative hypertension,and postoperative-increased mCA velocity were recorded and *** Logistic regression served to identify factors associated with delayed ICH after STA-mCA *** We identified 8 （4.9%） patients with delayed ICH after STA-mCA *** with hypertension,preoperative stroke,ipsilateral ischemic lesions,postoperative hypertension and postoperative-increased mCA velocity were significantly more prone to experiencing delayed ICH after STA-mCA *** regression analysis shows ipsilateral ischemic lesions,postoperative hypertension,and postoperative-increased mCA velocity remained independent predictors for delayed ICH after STA-mCA *** Despite the varied associated factors in patients with steno-occlusive CVDs,ipsilateral ischemic lesions,postoperative hypertension,and postoperative-increased mCA velocity could be associated with delayed ICH after STAmCA bypass.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the feasibility of using a similarity coefficient map（SCm） in improving the morphological evaluation of T2＊ weighted（T2＊W） magnatic resonance imaging（mRI） for renal *** studies and in vivo 12-echo T2＊W experiments for renal cancers were performed for this *** results of the first simulation study suggest that an SCm can reveal small structures which are hard to distinguish from the background tissue in T2＊W images and the corresponding T2＊ *** capability of improving the morphological evaluation is likely due to the improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio（SNR） and the carrier-to-noise ratio（CNR） by using the SCm *** with T2＊ W images,an SCm can improve the SNR by a factor ranging from 1.87 to *** with T2＊ maps,an SCm can improve the SNR by a factor ranging from 3.85 to *** with T2＊W images,an SCm can improve the CNR by a factor ranging from 2.09 to *** with T2＊ maps,an SCm can improve the CNR by a factor ranging from 1.94 to *** a given noise level,the improvements of the SNR and the CNR depend mainly on the original SNRs and CNRs in T2＊W images,*** vivo experiments confirmed the results of the first simulation *** results of the second simulation study suggest that more echoes are used to generate the SCm,and higher SNRs and CNRs can be achieved in *** conclusion,an SCm can provide improved morphological evaluation of T2＊W mR images for renal cancer by unveiling fine structures which are ambiguous or invisible in the corresponding T2＊W mR images and T2＊ ***,in practical applications,for a fixed total sampling time,one should increase the number of echoes as much as possible to achieve SCms with better SNRs and CNRs.

Formulating the original composition of weathered tephra can be a chaUenging task. A previous study by Wadia （1998 and 2007） demonstrated the enrichment of silica according to the hypothesis that the percentage of aluminum oxide remains constant within the unweathered parent material and its weathered counterpart （Faure, 1991）, which indicated the average enrichment of silica to be 6.5%. This study demonstrates the enrichment of microcrystalline-cryptocrystalline quartz in the Reid＇s mistake Formation of the Newcastle Coal measures of Sydney Basin, Australia, incorporating petrographic analyses and mBC （mass balance calculations） using trace element zircon as the immobile element. For mBC, zircon is more favorable, as it is a trace element that tends to be immobile during the process of chemical weathering. The composition of the unweathered reference samples was collected from the Tertiary volcanic complexes of Northeastern New South Wales and Southeastern Queensland. ICP-AES （inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy） was used to determine the chemical composition of the weathered samples. The quantitative enrichment of silica was provided by performing mBC using zircon as the immobile trace element. The petrographic analyses results indicated that the tephra was subjected to chemical weathering in a meteoric regime, as represented by minerals observed in the weathered tephra. The silica enrichment by mBC involving zircon resulted in 40.11%, which is indicative of chemical weathering, and was additionally supported by the presence of chert lenses in the volcanic horizon, indicating the enrichment of silica as a result of chemical weathering.

Background: Curculigo recurvata(C. recurvata) is an enthnomedicinally important herb reported to have significant medicinal values. The present study aimed to explore the in vivo and in silico anti-nociceptive and anti-diarrheal effects of a C. recurvate rhizome methanol extract(me-RCR).methods: The analgesic effects of me-RCR were assessed using acetic acid-induced writhing and the formalin-induced flicking test. The drugs were administered intraperitoneally(IP) at doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg body weight(bw). Anti-diarrheal activity was evaluated by assessing intestinal motility, hypersecretion, and fecal score in mice at oral doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg·bw. Computer facilitated analyses for anti-nociceptive and anti-diarrheal activities of three isolated compounds from C. recurvata were undertaken to identify the best-fit ***: The me-RCR showed significant(P malin-induced writhing test. In the castor oil-induced diarrhoea model, the extract significantly(P me of diarrhoea, inhibited percentage of diarrhoea, and decreased both the volume and weight of intestinal contents. Rates of intestinal fluid accumulation inhibition were(33.61 ± 1.00)% and(46.44 ± 0.89)% at me-RCR doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg·bw, respectively. moreover, a significant(P motility was observed. An absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and/or toxicity(ADmE/T) test showed that the selected compounds yielded promising results, satisfying Lipinski's rule of five for predicting drug-like potential.
