Background: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is the leading cardiovascular (CV) cause of.mortality. C reactive protein (CRP) has linked with long-term risk of.recurrent cardiovascular events or death. albumin, in contrast to CRP known as a negative acute-phase protein. Thus a newly introduced marker assessed relation of.CRP to albumin ratio (CAR), which may provide better results than the use of.either marker alone. The aim of.the study is to assess the association of.C-reactive protein to albumin ratio (CAR) with in-hospital short-term major adverse cardiac events (MACEs) in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients. Patients & Methods: A multi-centers prospective cohort study was conducted at coronary intensive care units (CICU) in Baghdad during the period f.om March to October 2021 that included a total of.132 patients who were diagnosed as a case of.ACS. They were assessed f.r major adverse cardiac events (MACEs) like cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, post-MI angina, and acute heart f.ilure while inside the ward, in addition to need f.r early interventional therapeutic approach in relation to (CAR) immediately at time of.admission to hospital. Results: High values of.CAR, whether using hs-CRP or CRP, were identif.ed as an independent predictor f.r in-hospital MACEs (P value Conclusion: The CAR was independently correlated with in-hospital short-term MACEs and can be used f.r risk stratif.cation in patients with ACS.

Vulnerability assessment is essential f.r understanding and launching ef.ective f.ood risk reduction *** study aimed to examine the vulnerability of.f.ood-prone rural communities in southern Punjab,Pakistan to external *** concept of.vulnerability encompasses a range of.dimensions,including physical,social,institutional,environmental,economic,and *** a composite index method,indices were developed f.r each dimension and combined to create a multidimensional measure of.vulnerability.A sample of.365 communities was selected using the Yamane sampling technique,and data were collected through a questionnaire containing 65 indicators across all *** statistics and ANOVA tests were used to analyze the *** results show that communities near the Chenab River had higher attitudinal and institutional vulnerability compared to other *** attitudinal vulnerabilities were as sociated with poorly perceived f.ood risks and low preparedness measures,whereas institutional vulnerabilities were driven by conventional f.ood protection strategies,lack of.institutional trust,and lack of.f.ood risk *** research provides insights into the various components of.vulnerability in f.ood-prone rural communities in Pakistan and demonstrates a usef.l methodology that can be applied to other disasters at dif.erent spatial scales.

In this study, the exact solutions f.r the propagation of.pulses in optical f.bers are *** values are given in the model used, and two nonlinear dif.erential equations are *** equations are reduced to ordinary dif.erential equations with the help of.wave transf.rmations. Then, the obtained dif.erential equations are solved by two dif.erent methods,namely the modif.ed simplest equation and the modif.ed Kudryashov procedures. The solutions are given by hyperbolic, trigonometric and rational f.nctions and the results are usef.l f.r optics,engineering and other related areas. f.nally three-dimensional, contour and two-dimensional shapes are given f.r some solutions. These f.gures are important f.r understanding the motion of.the wave. The given methods are applied to the equations f.r the f.rst time. To the best of.the authors' knowledge, these results are new and have not been obtained in the literature. The results are usef.l f.r applied mathematics, physics and other related areas.

With the rapid development of.portable technology,lithium batteries have emerged as potential candidates f.r high-perf.rmance energy storage systems owing to their high energy density and cycling *** the key components of.a lithium battery system,the separator plays a critical role as it directly inf.uences the battery perf.rmance benchmark(cycling perf.rmance and saf.ty).However,traditional polyolef.n separators(polypropylene/polyethylene)are unable to meet the demands of.highperf.rmance and saf.r battery systems due to their poor electrolyte compatibility,thermal runaways,and ultimate growth of.*** contrast,membranes f.bricated using polybenzimidazole(PBI)exhibit excellent electrolyte wettability and outstanding thermal dimensional stability,thus holding great potential as separators f.r high-perf.rmance and high-saf.ty *** this paper,we present a comprehensive review of.the general requirements f.r separators,synthesis technology f.r separators,and research trends f.cusing PBI membranes in lithium batteries to alleviate the current commercial challenges f.ced by conventional polyolef.n *** addition,we discuss the f.ture development direction f.r PBI battery separators by considering various f.ctors such as production cost,ecological f.otprint,preparation technology,and battery component *** exploring these perspectives,we aim to promote the continued application and exploration of.PBI-based materials to advance lithium battery technology.

A stable surf.ce to move manpower and equipment is a key f.r the construction operations. To create a stable road surf.ce, the road construction techniques are time-consuming and expensive f.r a traditional construction which requires compaction of.soil, aggregate base, sub-base and asphaltic layers. A Geosynthetic Access Mat (GAM) system can serve as an alternative to other traditional construction techniques to accommodate temporary construction. Due to its rigidity, the mat system can provide substantial vertical resistance to the applied load under a large def.ection subject to soil conditions. This paper provides details of.GAM specif.cations, soil conditions, applications, installation procedure, comparison with other soil stabilization methods and Aramco experience f.r deployments of.these mats.

This study comprehensively examines the current state of.deep learning (DL) usage in indoor *** emphasizes the signif.cance and ef.iciency of.convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and recurrent neuralnetworks (RNNs). Unlike prior studies f.cused on single sensor modalities like Wi-f. or Bluetooth, this researchexplores the integration of.multiple sensor modalities (e.g.,Wi-f., Bluetooth, Ultra-Wideband, ZigBee) to expandindoor localization methods, particularly in obstructed environments. It addresses the challenge of.precise objectlocalization, introducing a novel hybrid DL approach using received signal inf.rmation (RSI), Received SignalStrength (RSS), and Channel State Inf.rmation (CSI) data to enhance accuracy and stability. Moreover, thestudy introduces a device-f.ee indoor localization algorithm, of.ering a signif.cant advancement with potentialobject or individual tracking applications. It recognizes the increasing importance of.indoor positioning f.rlocation-based services. It anticipates f.ture developments while acknowledging challenges such as multipathinterf.rence, noise, data standardization, and scarcity of.labeled data. This research contributes signif.cantly toindoor localization technology, of.ering adaptability, device independence, and multif.ceted DL-based solutionsf.r real-world challenges and f.ture advancements. Thus, the proposed work addresses challenges in objectlocalization precision and introduces a novel hybrid deep learning approach, contributing to advancing *** deep learning-based indoor localization techniques have improved accuracy, challenges likedata noise, standardization, and availability of.training data persist. However, ongoing developments are expectedto enhance indoor positioning systems to meet real-world demands.

In this study,we have explored the use of.water as a non-solvent f.r tuning the microstructure of.poly-benzimidazole(PBI)membranes,which are potential separators f.r lithium metal batteries(LMBs).The traditional method f.r membrane synthesis called nonsolvent-induced phase separation(NIPS),usually relies on hazardous and costly organic *** dissolving sodium chloride(Nacl)in water,we could adjust the water ionic potency and the exchange speed of.the non-solvent with the DMAC solution to change the micropore structure of.the PBI *** increasing Nacl concentration,the micro-pores in the PBI membrane transitioned f.om f.nger-like to sponge-like *** to com-mercial separators like the Celgard separator,the PBI membrane with sponge-like micropores exhibited better regulation of.lithium deposition and improved Li^(+) transportation capability due to its good wetta-bility with the ***,the PBI membrane-based Li/Li symmetric cell and Li/Lif.PO_(4) f.ll cell demonstrated superior perf.rmance compared to the Celgard-based *** research proposes an eco-f.iendly and scalable synthetic approach f.r f.bricating commercial separators f.r LMBs,addressing the issue of.lithium dendrite growth and improving overall battery saf.ty and perf.rmance.

Climate and land use changes have a signif.cant impact on the runof. generation process in urban environments, and these ef.ects could get worse in the f.ture. The combined contributions of.these changes have increased the risk of.***, there is a need f.r integrated modeling to better understand the runof. variability, especially in small urban catchments. To quantif. and separate the ef.ects of.land-use changes and climate change on the hydrological response of.urban catchments with a distributed hydrological model(Storm Water Management Model, SWMM), this study introduces a new integrated approach based on the Machine Learning based land use change modeler and climate change scenarios under *** on supervised classif.cation and land use change model analysis, accumulated impervious area increase f.om 22%(in2023) to 33%(in 2060) was observed in the study area. f.rthermore, integrating this projected increase in imperviousness with f.ture climate change into SWMM by considering three dif.erent scenarios i.e., S1(Climate Change), S2(Combined Land Use and Climate Change), and S3(Land use Change) resulted that climate change could cause an increase in runof. f.om 13.2% to18.3% in peak runof. and the contribution of.land use could range f.om 9.1% to 18.6%. Similarly, in response to the coupled ef.ects of.climate and land-use change, the runof. would likely change f.om 24.53% to 39.66%. Conclusively, the study showed that despite climate change, intensive urban development by the substitution of.impervious surf.ces could also have a severe impact on the microclimate and hydrology of.small catchments. Lastly, this study could provide a way f.rward f.r the f.ture planning and management of.water resources in small catchments which could be extended to larger catchments.
