Struggling to live a new normal life among Chinese women after losing an only child:A qualitative study

Objectives:Losing an only child is a life-altering event that destroys Chinese women’s lives and health in several ***,there is no unified theory exists to guide nursing *** study aimed to discover the substantive theory of how Chinese women live with the loss of their only ***:This qualitative study used the grounded theory *** sampling,snowball sampling,and theoretical sampling were used to recruit *** data from the in-depth interview,observation,and field notes with 13 Chinese women who have lost an only child in Southwest China were analyzed using the constant comparative method concurrently supplemented by the *** program,memo writing,and ***:Struggling to live a new normal life among Chinese women after losing an only child emerged as the substantive *** consists of three phases:living in agony,coming to terms,being alive in a new *** support motivated them to deal with such a ***,it brought them back to the previous phase(s)whenever they encountered adverse triggering ***,they moved back and forth between these *** findings also illustrated that this process was profoundly affected by Chinese culture and personal ***:This substantive theory may guide nursing practice based on understanding the living process by working through the three *** would help develop a professional care plan recognizing individual diversity and incorporating socio-cultural and religious knowledge to effectively support women to deal with the loss of an only child.

Microstructure and rheological properties of a semisolid A356 alloy with erbium addition

The effects of erbium addition on the rheological properties and microstructure of a semisolid A356 alloy were *** semisolid slurries were prepared through the serpentine channel technique before they were thixoformed using parallel-plate compre ssion with cylindrical *** grain and globule size decreases as the Er content increases,resulting in an improved and uniform distribution of spherical primaryα-Al phase within the semisolid *** addition of the Er modifies the grain morphology and size of theα-Al grains,resulting in a better and more uniform distribution of spherical primaryα-AI phase within the semisolid *** a result,rheocast quality index increases with the addition of Er,which is suitable for the thixoforming *** A356 alloy without Er has the highest viscosity *** viscosity decreases,and the flow characteristics of the semisolid feedstock are expected to improve when Er is added as a result of the refinement of primary a-Al and modification of eutectic ***,the refined semisolid A356 alloys with Er show a slightly larger fraction of highangle grain boundaries compared to that for the unrefined alloy.
