Spatiotemporal Eval.a.ion and Future Projection of Diurnal Temperature Range over the Tibetan Plateau in CMIP6 Models

The diurnal temperature range(DTR) serves as a vital indicator reflecting both natural climate variability and anthropogenic climate change. This study investigates the historical.a.d projected multitemporal DTR variations over the Tibetan Plateau. It assesses 23 climate models from phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6) using CN05.1 observational data as validation, eval.a.ing their ability to simulate DTR over the Tibetan Plateau. Then, the evolution of DTR over the Tibetan Plateau under different shared socioeconomic pathway(SSP) scenarios for the near,middle, and long term of future projection are analyzed using 11 selected robustly performing models. Key findings reveal:(1) Among the models examined, BCC-CSM2-MR, EC-Earth3, EC-Earth3-CC, EC-Earth3-Veg, EC-Earth3-Veg-lR,FGOAlS-g3, FIO-ESM-2-0, GFDl-ESM4, MPI-ESM1-2-HR, MPI-ESM1-2-lR, and INM-CM5-0 exhibit superior integrated simulation capability for capturing the spatiotemporal variability of DTR over the Tibetan Plateau.(2) Projection indicates a slightly increasing trend in DTR on the Tibetan Plateau in the SSP1-2.6 scenario, and decreasing trends in the SSP2-4.5, SSP3-7.0, and SPP5-8.5 scenarios. In certain areas, such as the southeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, western hinterland of the Tibetan Plateau, southern Kunlun, and the Qaidam basins, the changes in DTR are relatively large.(3) Notably, the warming rate of maximum temperature under SSP2-4.5, SSP3-7.0, and SPP5-8.5 is slower compared to that of minimum temperature, and it emerges as the primary contributor to the projected decrease in DTR over the Tibetan Plateau in the future.

Intelligent speed adaptation for visibility technology affects drivers’speed selection along curves with sight limitations

Sight obstructions along road curves can l.a. to a crash if the driver is not able to stop the vehicle in *** is a particular issue along curves with limited available sight,where speed management is necessary to avoid unsafe situations(e.g.,driving off the road or invading the other traffic lane).To solve this issue,we proposed a novel intelligent speed adaptation(ISA)system for visibility,called V-ISA(intelligent speed adaptation for visibility).It estimates the real-time safe speed limits based on the prevailing sight conditions.V-ISA comes with three variants with specific feedback modalities(1)visual.a.d(2)auditory information,and(3)direct intervention to assume control over the vehicle ***,we investigated the efficiency of each of the three V-ISA variants on driving speed choice and lateral behavioural response along road curves with limited and unsafe available sight distances,using a driving *** also considered curve road geometry(curve direction:rightward ***).Sixty active drivers were recruited for the *** half of them(experimental group)tested the three V-ISA variants(and a V-ISA off condition),the other half al.a.s drove with the V-ISA off(validation group).We used a linear mixed-effect model to eval.a.e the influence of V-ISA on driver *** V-ISA variants were efficient at reducing speeds at entrance points,with no discernible negative impact on driver lateral *** rightward curves,the V-ISA intervening variant appeared to be the most effective at adapting to sight *** of the current study implies that V-ISA might assist drivers to adjust their operating speed as per prevailing sight conditions and,consequently,establishes safer driving conditions.

This paper investigates the consensus control of multi-agent systems(MASs) with constrained input using the dynamic event-triggered mechanism(ETM).Consider the MASs with small-scale networks where a centralized dynamic ETM with global information of the MASs is first ***,a distributed dynamic ETM which only uses local information is developed for the MASs with large-scale *** is shown that the semi-global consensus of the MASs can be achieved by the designed bounded control protocol where the Zeno phenomenon is eliminated by a designable minimum inter-event *** addition,it is easier to find a trade-off between the convergence rate and the minimum inter-event time by an adjustable ***,the results are extended to regional consensus of the MASs with the bounded control *** simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

High-efficiency Carbonation Modification Methods of Recycled Coarse Aggregates

Combustion characteristics of low-quality lignite for different bed material sphericities in a circulating fluidized bed boiler:A numerical study

This study delves into the combustion behavior of various lignite types within a circulating fluidized bed boiler(CFBB),with a primary focus on the impact of different bed material sphericity ratios(0.5,0.7,and 0.9).Utilizing bed material with a sphericity ratio of 0.9 sourced from theÇan power plant and verified through experimentation,the research reveals several key ***,furnace temperatures tended to rise with higher sphericity ratios,albeit with variations between lignite types,particularly highlighting the complexity of this relationship in the case of GlI-Tunçbilek *** levels in the combustion chamber remained consistent across different sphericity ratios,indicating minimal influence on pressure *** combustion efficiency,especially at the bottom of the boiler,was observed at lower sphericity levels(0.5 and 0.7)forÇan lignite,as reflected in CO_(2) mole *** NO_(x) emissions generally decreased with lower sphericity,the sensitivity to sphericity varied by lignite type,with Ilgın lignite showcasing low NO_(x) but high SO_(2) emissions,underscoring the intricate interplay between lignite properties,sphericity,and ***,this study advances our understanding of CFBB combustion dynamics,offering insights val.a.le for optimizing performance and emissions control,particularly in lignite-based power.

Adaptive neural network control of a 2-DOF helicopter system considering input constraints and global prescribed performance

In this study, an adaptive neural network(NN) control is proposed for nonlinear two-degree-offreedom(2-DOF) helicopter systems considering the input constraints and global prescribed ***, radial basis function NN(RBFNN) is employed to estimate the unknown dynamics of the helicopter system. Second, a smooth nonaffine function is exploited to approximate and address nonlinear constraint functions. Subsequently, a new prescribed function is proposed, and an original constrained error is transformed into an equivalent unconstrained error using the error transformation and barrier function transformation methods. The analysis of the established l.a.unov function proves that the controlled system is globally uniformly bounded. Finally, the simulation and experimental results on a constructed Quanser's test platform verify the rationality and feasibility of the proposed control.

The Making of a Health Profession:How Chinese Medicine Became a Nationally Registered Allied Health Profession in Australia

In 2012, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) practitioners in Austral.a.became nationally-registered allied health professionals in three categories: acupuncturist, Chinese herbal medicine practitioner, and Chinese herbal medicine dispenser. Austral.a.was the first Western country to introduce national registration for Chinese medicine, followed by Portugal.a.d, recently, New Zealand. The practice of TCM in Austral.a.can be traced back to the beginning of Chinese immigration to Austral.a.during the Victorian Gold Rush which began in the 1850s. The process which led to national registration commenced in the early 1970s with the establishment of the first acupuncture courses. Decades of gradual development of courses from unaccredited part-time diplomas to accredited bachelor degrees, and the development, by the profession, of national consensus on educational standards were essential elements in the process which led to registration. Professional.a.sociations, such as the Austral.a. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association ltd.(AACMA), also developed a framework of professional selfregulation, including Codes of Ethics, Codes of Conduct, ongoing professional development requirements and Infection Control Guidelines, and provided l.a.ership in the development of the profession. After decades of tribalism and division within the TCM profession, the National.a.ademic Standards Committee brought almost all stakeholders together to reach a consensus on the Austral.a. Guidelines for Traditional Chinese Medicine Education which were published by AACMA in 2001. Professional.a.sociations also col.a.orated on joint submissions to the government in support of registration, which was introduced first in the state of Victoria in 2000, and subsequently became national in 2012. Despite national registration, some barriers still remain, and professional.a.sociations continue to lobby the federal government for inclusion in Medicare, chronic disease management scheme, and Veterans
