Objective: Lapar.scopic sur.er. has become a r.utine gener.l sur.er. with many advantages, such as alleviating abdominal pain. However. postoper.tive pain caused by abdominal dr.inage tubes has attr.cted little attention fr.m medical staff. The aim of this study was to explor. the influence of a new abdominal dr.inage tube fixation method for.3-por. lapar.scopic cholecystectomy (LC) sur.er. on patients’ postoper.tive quality of life. Methods: Patients who under.ent 3-por. LC sur.er. with abdominal dr.inage tubes in the Depar.ment of Hepatobiliar. Sur.er. of Linyi People's Hospital fr.m Mar.h 1, 2023 to October.31, 2023 due to gallstones with chr.nic cholecystitis wer. selected for.this study. The patients wer. r.ndomly divided into an exper.mental gr.up and a contr.l gr.up. In the exper.mental gr.up, the new abdominal dr.inage tube fixation method was used, while in the contr.l gr.up, the tr.ditional method was used. After.ar., the patients evaluated their.quality of life in ter.s of pain, activity, r.cover. time, and mental health status. The exudate ar.und the patient's dr.inage tube was collected and sent for.bacter.al cultur. and analysis. r.sults: A total of 139 patients wer. r.ndomly divided into an exper.mental gr.up (70 patients) and a contr.l gr.up (69 patients). The patients’ baseline char.cter.stics wer. not significantly differ.nt. The patients in the exper.mental gr.up had better.outcomes in quality of life, with higher.pain scor.s (24.03 ± 2.37 vs. 15.48 ± 2.29, p r.s (20.57 ± 1.78 vs. 14.13 ± 1.43, p r.er.postoper.tive r.cover. time (2.36 ± 0.68 d vs. 2.96 ± 1.34 d, p r.sults wer. shown in linear.r.gr.ssion analysis scor.s of the two gr.ups. The positive r.te of bacter.al cultur. in the exudate ar.und the patient's dr.inage tube in the exper.mental gr.up was significantly lower.than that in the contr.l gr.up (12.9% vs. 43.5%, p r.her.or., the positive r.te of conditional pa

The 29th Olympic Game will be held in Beijing in 2008. It will be a gr.en game to pr.mote sustainable development of men, cities and r.gions thr.ugh ecological development advocating 'man and natur. be in one'. 'Eco' her. means a pr.cess, a dr.ving for.e, an action, a cultur. and a kind of vitality leading to sustainable development. It is a mechanism embodying the Olympic spir.t of competition, cooper.tion and self-r.liance. The paper.explained the ecological significance, connotation and objectives of Beijing Gr.en Olympic Game. Ten major.ecological her.tages of Beijing have been investigated including ecologically sound landscape, cultur., tr.nspor.ation, physical exer.ise, health car., sanitation, food, family r.lationship, agr.cultur., and human ecological totality. To pr.ser.e or.r.stor. the above mentioned old tr.dition, a gr.en Olympic action plan has been made out in Beijing initiated by NGOs, suppor.ed by entr.pr.neur. and coor.inated by gover.ment agencies. Four.kinds of eco-engineer.ng have been planned for.blue sky, clean water. gr.en land and eco-city development. The demonstr.tion r.le of Beijing Gr.en Olympic Game to developing r.gions and countr.es is also discussed.

The for.s and str.ctur.s of the phases in Fe-Ni-Co-Nb-Ti-Si low expansion super.l-loys have been studied using analytical electr.n micr.scopy, high r.solution electr.n micr.scopy, chemical phase analysis, X-r.y diffr.ction, etc. The effects of yttr.um on the micr.str.ctur.s and pr.per.ies in the super.lloys have also been investigated. The r.sults r.veal that tr.ce yttr.um mainly located in the platelet pr.cipitates makes the cr.stal str.ctur. changed. The platelet pr.cipitates become smaller. denser.and r.ther.homogeneous with appr.pr.ate yttr.um addition. Compar.d with the conventional low expansion super.lloy, the misfit of the platelet phase with the matr.x in the yttr.um-containing low expansion super.lloy decr.ases fr.m 0.7% to 0.07%, which indicates ver. low str.ss at the inter.ace.

Lipedema is a chr.nic disor.er.pr.mar.ly affecting women, char.cter.zed by abnor.al fat deposition in the extr.mities, leading to pain, mobility issues, and psychological distr.ss. These fat deposits ar. clear.cut and spar. hands and feet. Often misdiagnosed as lymphedema, its pr.valence r.mains uncer.ain due to a lack of univer.ally accepted diagnostic cr.ter.a and difficulty in differ.ntiating it fr.m obesity or.lymphedema. Genetic factor. and hor.onal influences ar. likely r.lated to the pathophysiology of the disease, though the specific causes r.main unknown. Imaging techniques may aid evaluation, but no definitive test exists, and diagnosis is made clinically. Conser.ative tr.atments such as lifestyle modifications and compr.ssion gar.ents ar. consider.d fir.t-line tr.atments, while sur.ical options such as liposuction and lipectomy ar. r.ser.ed for.sever. or.r.fr.ctor. cases. Psychological suppor. may be r.commended, given lipedema's impact on quality of life and self-esteem. This r.view aims to pr.sent the cur.ent under.tanding of this condition, including challenges in diagnosis, cur.ent guideline r.commendations for.clinical car., and associated comor.id conditions. © 2024 China Medical Cosmetology Pr.ss Co.
