The present study established a rat model of post-stroke depression using incomplete ischemia induced by unilateral carotid artery ligation in combination with solitary raising and subcutaneous injection of a small dose of reserpine. After intragastric perfusion with 45 mg/100 g, 15 mg/100 g, and 7.5 mg/100 g of Xingnao Jieyu for 7, 14 and 21 days, neuronal morphology in the frontal lobe and hippocampus was improved, depression state and voluntary behaviors were also effectively improved in rats with post-stroke depression. Moreover, the effects of Xingnao Jieyu at a dose of 45 and 15 mg/100 g were similar to the traditional antidepressant Prozac.

Fabry-Perot Interferometer(FPI) has been used widely for wind measurements of the middle and upper *** date, most of FPIs have been based on full-closed circular fringe, which needs 15–25 min to obtain a group of wind velocity(zonal and meridional). However, it is hard to improve the temporal resolution because full-closed circular fringe in several directions cannot be easily imaged onto the same Charge-Coupled Device(CCD) with enough airglow intensity. In this paper, a data processing method is proposed for non-full circular fringe of FPI, which can support CCD with enough area of observations in several directions simultaneously. The method is focused on the center determination of non-full fringe. It includes radial cross-section, peak coordinate determination, and center calculation. Based on the calculated center, the fringe is annular summed. Then its radius is determined subsequently using Gaussian fitting. Finally, the wind is retrieved from the fringe radius. For validation, fringes from two ground-based FPIs were used, which are deployed in Kelan(38.71°N, 111.58°E) and Xinglong(40.40°N, 117.59°E) in China. The results retrieved from non-full fringes of FPIs were compared with that from full-closed circular fringe. The averaged wind deviation between them demonstrates reasonable difference with 5.38 ms^-(1) for 892.0 nm airglow emission, 5.81 ms^-(1) for 630.0 nm emission, and 3.03 ms^-(1) for 557.7 nm emission. Besides, wind results of Xinglong FPI are compared roughly with measurements of meteor radar which is deployed in Ming Tombs of Beijing(40.3°N,116.2°E). Good agreement demonstrates that this method is robust enough for FPI wind retrieval of mesosphere and thermosphere.

Six wastewater treatment plants （WWTPs） were investigated to evaluate the occurrence and removal of N-nitrosodimethylamine （NDMA）, NDMA formation potential （FP） and four specific NDMA precursors, dimethylamine （DMA）, trimethylamine （TMA）, dimethyl- formamide （DMFA） and dimethylaminobenzene （DMAB）. DMA and tertiary amines with DMA functional group commonly existed in municipal wastewater. Chemically enhanced primary process （CEPP） had no effect on removal of either NDMA or NDMA FP. In WWTPs with secondary treatment processes, considerable variability was observed in the removal of NDMA （19%-85%） and NDMA FP （16%-76%）, moreover, there was no definite relationship between the removal of NDMA and NDMA FP. DMA was well removed in all the six surveyed WWTPs; its removal efficiency was greater than 97%. For the removal of tertiary amines, biologic treatment processes with nitrification and denitrification had better removal efficiency than conventional activated sludge process. The best removal efficiencies for TMA, DMFA and DMAB were 95%, 68% and 72%, respectively. CEPP could remove 73% of TMA, 23% of DMFA and 36% of DMAB. After UV disinfection, only 17% of NDMA was removed due to low dosage of UV was applied in WWTP. Although chlorination could reduce NDMA precursors, NDMA concentration was actually increased after chlorination.

Novel approach to control adsorbent aggregation： iron fixed bentonite-fly ash for Lead （Pb） and Cadmium （Cd） removal from aqueous media

In the present study, a novel approach was used to control zero valent iron aggregation and separation problems by fixing zero valent iron （ZVI） on bentonite-fly ash pellets. For this purpose, porous low cost bentonite-fly ash （BFA） pellets with size of 2.00 cm in length and 0.35 cm in diameter were prepared and fixed with ZV1 to manufacture zero valent iron bentonite-fly ash （ZVI-BFA） pellets. Importantly, unlike powdered adsorbents, ZVI-BFA can easily be separated from final effluents when exhausted without any disintegration. The performance of the developed novel adsorbent was investigated for the removal of Pb2＋ and Cd2＋ from aqueous media. At 100 mg.L I and 1 g adsorbent, a maximum of 89.5% ofCd2＋ and 95.6% ofPb2＋ was removed by ZVI-BFA as compared to 56% and 95% removal by BFA. At 200 mg.L 10 Cd2＋ and Pb2＋ removal by ZVI-BFA was 56% and 99.8% respectively as compared to only 28% and 96% by BFA. Further, the removal kinetics was best fitted for pseudo-second order model. The study provides the basis for improving the removal capacity of porous materials by iron fixation while taking separation ability into consideration.

Insulin-like growth factor-I （IGF-I） regulates cell growth, survival, and differentiation by acting on the IGF-I receptor, （IGF-IR）-a tyrosine kinase receptor, which elicits diverse intracellular signaling responses. All skeletal cells express IGF-I and IGF-IR. Recent studies using tissue/cell-specific gene knockout mouse models and cell culture techniques have clearly demonstrated that locally produced IGF-I is more critical than the systemic IGF-I in supporting embryonic and postnatal skeletal development and bone remodeling. Local IGF-I/IGF-IR signaling promotes the growth, survival and differentiation of chondrocytes and osteo- blasts, directly and indirectly, by altering other autocrine/paracrine signaling pathways in cartilage and bone, and by enhancing interactions among these skeletal cells through hormonal and physical means. Moreover, local IGF-I/IGF-IR signaling is critical for the anabolic bone actions of growth hormone and parathyroid hormone. Herein, we review evidence supporting the actions of local IGF-I/IGF-IR in the above aspects of skeletal development and remodeling.

Two new Cl-symmetric primary-secondary diamines were synthesized via the reaction of （S,S）-1,2- diphenyl ethylene diamine with 3,5-ditert-butyl salicylal- dehyde and salicylaldehyde, respectively, followed by reduction with NaBH4. The combination of the ligand from 3,5-ditert-butyl salicylaldehyde with CuBr could effciently catalyze the Henry reaction to afford β- nitroalkanols in moderate to good yields （up to 87%） and high enantioselectivities （up to 88% ee）. A possible mechanism of the reaction was proposed.

The Atmospheric Ultraviolet Radiance Integrated Code （AURIC） is a software package developed by Computa- tional Physics, Inc. （CPI） under the sponsorship of the Air Force Phillips Laboratory/Geophysics Directorate （PL/GP）（cur- rently the Air Force Research Laboratory） for middle and upper atmospheric radiance modeling from the far ultraviolet to the near infrared. The AURIC has been considered as a general model for the radiative transfer simulation of airglow. Based on the theory of MODerate resolution atmospheric TRANsmission （MODTRAN）, the AURIC extends calculation to altitudes above 100 km and the wavelength down to 80 nm. A package of AURIC vl.2 was released in 2002, which can be used for sin- gle-point simulation from 1947 to 1999. It means that the model is not suitable for atmospheric simulation of large datasets or for atmospheric parameters retrieval from amount of satellite measurements. In this paper, AURIC vl.2 is upgraded to AURIC-2012 based on MATLAB with improvements for modules of the Geomagnetic Parameter （GEOPARM）, Atmosphere neutral composition （ATOMS）, and Ionospheric electron density （IONOS）. The improved AURIC can be used for global au- tomatic airglow simulation and also for automatic retrieval of atmospheric compositions from satellite global observations, such as O/N2 and electron density etc. Besides, the model supplies possibilities for further improvement of airglow radiative mechanism and for substitution of other modules. Based on the AURIC-2012, Limb Column Emission Intensity （L-CEI） and Volume Emission Rate （VER） are calculated. For validation, the results were compared with measurements of the Global Ul- traviolet Imager （GUVI） and TIMED Doppler Interferometer （TIDI）, respectively. The averaged relative errors of L-CEI and VER at peak altitude are both within 20%. Rapid and sensitive detection of dissolved gases in seawater is quite essential for the investigation of the global carbon *** quantities of in situ optical detection techniques showed restricted measurement efficiency,owing to the single gas sensor without the identification ability of multiple *** this work,a novel gas-liquid Raman detection method of monitoring the multi-component dissolved gases was proposed based on a continuous gas-liquid separator under a large difference of partial *** limit of detection(LOD)of the gas Raman spectrometer could arrive at about 14 μl·L^(-1)for N_(2)***,based on the continuous gas-liquid separation process,the detection time of the dissolved gases could be largely decreased to about 200 s compared with that of the traditional detection method(30 min).Effect of equilibrium time on gas-liquid separation process indicated that the extracted efficiency and decay time of these dissolved gases was CO_(2)>O_(2)>N_(2).In addition,the analysis of the relationship between equilibrium time and flow speed indicated that the decay time decreased with the increase of the flow *** validation and application of the developed system presented its great potential for studying the components and spatiotemporal distribution of dissolved gases in seawater.
