Propofol effectively inhibits lithium-pilocarpine-induced status epilepticus in rats via downregulation of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 2B subunit expression

Status epilepticus was induced via intraperitoneal injection of *** inhibitory effects of propofol on status epilepticus in rats were judged based on observation of behavior,electroencephalography and 24-hour survival ***（12.5-100 mg/kg） improved status epilepticus in a dose-dependent manner,and significantly reduced the number of deaths within 24 hours of lithium-pilocarpine *** blot results showed that,24 hours after induction of status epilepticus,the levels of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 2A and 2B subunits were significantly increased in rat cerebral cortex and *** at 50 mg/kg significantly suppressed the increase in N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 2B subunit levels,but not the increase in N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 2A subunit *** results suggest that propofol can effectively inhibit status epilepticus induced by *** effect may be associated with downregulation of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 2B subunit expression after seizures.

Organizational learning capability is an important embodiment of the competitive advantage of enterprises in the era of knowledge economy. Based on the embeddedness theory,six factors are discussed that influence organizational learning capability from the perspective of knowledge embeddedness: employees embeddedness, tools embeddedness, tasks embeddedness,interpersonal relationship embeddedness, organizational culture embeddedness and network environment embeddedness. Combined with the survey data of textile and apparel manufacturing industry,the research proves the important function of knowledge embeddedness in the construction of organizational learning capability, and proposes three research countermeasures for industrial upgrading.

Based on the embeddedness theory,this paper analyzes the impact of network embedding features and types on the transformation performance of foundry *** the investigation and analysis of more than 200 foundry enterprises in Zhejiang Province,it is found that network relationship embedding and structure embedding have positive impacts on transformation of foundry *** embedding and technical embedding have a positive effect in the transformation of foundry enterprises,and knowledge absorption ability has a positive adjustment role in the transformation performance of network embedding foundry enterprises.

Nerve agents are used in civil wars and terrorist attacks,posing a threat to public *** exposure to nerve agents such as soman(GD)causes serious brain damage,leading to death due to intense seizures induced by acetylcholinesterase inhibition and neuronal injury resulting from increased excitatory amino-acid levels and ***,data on the anticonvulsant and neuroprotective efficacies of currently-used countermeasures are ***,we evaluated the potential effects of transient receptor vanilloid 4(TRPV4)in the treatment of soman-induced status epilepticus(SE)and secondary brain *** demonstrated that TRPV4 expression was markedly up-regulated in rat hippocampus after soman-induced *** of the TRPV4 antagonist GSK2193874 prior to soman exposure significantly decreased the mortality rate in rats and reduced SE ***4-knockout mice also showed lower incidence of seizures and higher survival rates than wild-type mice following soman *** in vivo and in vitro experiments demonstrated that blocking TRPV4 prevented NMDA receptor-mediated glutamate *** protein levels of the NLRP3 inflammasome complex and its downstream cytokines IL-1βand IL-18 increased in soman-exposed rat ***,TRPV4 inhibition or deletion markedly reversed the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome *** conclusion,our study suggests that the blockade of TRPV4 protects against soman exposure and reduces brain injury following SE by decreasing NMDA receptor-mediated excitotoxicity and NLRP3-mediated *** our knowledge,this is the first study regarding the“dual-switch”function of TRPV4 in the treatment of soman intoxication.

Immune reactions and nerve repair in mice with sciatic nerve injury 14 days after intraperitoneal injection of Brazil

BALB/c mice were intraperitoneally injected with 10, 5 or 2.5 mg/kg Brazil for 14 days after sciatic nerve injury. Results demonstrate that the spleen T/B lymphocyte stimulation index and serum circulating immune complex concentration were significantly reduced, and the morphology of the soleus muscle was restored in mice with sciatic nerve injury. These effects of Brazil were dose-dependent. Our experimental findings indicate that Brazil can regulate immune responses after nerve injury and promote sciatic nerve repair.

Effect of Knowledge about Workers' Psychological Contract Imbalance on Organizational Performance

Knowledge-based employees are the inexhaustible motive force for the sustainable development of modern enterprises. Being consistent with the psychological expectation of knowledge-based employees is conducive to stimulating the intrinsic motivation of knowledge-based employees and promoting the innovation performance of enterprises. Based on 175 valid questionnaires,the analysis shows that the knowledge about employees' psychological contract can be divided into two-dimension, transactional or relational dimension. Both of them are independent to each *** correlation analysis shows that the transactional psychological contract and relational psychological contract have positive correlation with team performance and organization *** the same time, the team performance and organization performance have positive correlation. Regression analysis shows that compared with relational psychological contract,transactional psychological contract can promote team performance and organizational performance more effectively. Both two psychological contracts can mediate the organizational performance by virtue of team performance.

Considerable efforts have been devoted to treating gastric *** in this field tend to develop drug delivery systems with prolonged gastric retention ***,we develop novel Chinese herb pollen-derived micromotors as active oral drug delivery system for treating gastric *** Chinese herb pollen-derived micromotors are simply produced by asymmetrically sputtering Mg layer onto one side of pollen *** exposed to gastric juice,the Mg layer can react with the hydrogen ions,resulting in intensive generation of hydrogen bubbles to propel the *** from the autonomous motion and unique spiny structure,our micromotors can move actively in the stomach and adhere to the surrounding ***,their special architecture endows the micromotors with salient capacity of drug loading and *** on these features,we have demonstrated that our Chinese herb pollen-derived micromotors could effective deliver berberine hydrochloride and show desirable curative effect on the gastric ulcer model of ***,these Chinese herb pollen-derived micromotors are anticipated to serve as promising oral drug delivery carriers for clinical applications.

Solidification microstructures of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys prepared by spraydeposition and conventional casting methods

High strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys were prepared by spray deposition and casting techniques. The microstructures of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys were studied using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. Secondary phases in the microstructures of the alloys prepared by spray deposition and conventional cast were examined. The results indicate that under the conventional casting condition, the microstructure of the alloy revealed the presence of coarse Al/Mg（ZnCu）2 eutectic phases, and the spray deposited process causes an obvious modification in size, morphology, and distribution of secondary phases in the microstructure as well as reduction of segregation. The superior microstructure of the spray-deposited Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy was attributed to the high cooling rate, and associated with the rapid solidification process.
