Tuning F?rster resonance energy transfer(FRET)in metal-organic frameworks for fluorescence turn on sensing is rarely ***,we designed and synthesized several FRET-based metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)with different donor/acceptor *** the oxidation of the acceptor,the FRET process in MOFs can be efficiently modulated so as to turn-on the fluorescence of the framework in a controlled ***,the MOF with an optimized donor/acceptor ratio of 7.0 was used as an efficient fluorescence turn on sensor for Hg(Ⅱ)ions with good sensitivity and *** believe our present study will not only give a useful method to construct fluorescence turn-on sensors but also trigger the construction of novel FRET-based MOFs for the fluo-rescence turn-on sensing of target analytes in the future.

In model-based sensitivity studies,the growth of model error over long-term integrations may lead to serious deviations between the simulated and actual *** reduce these errors,we have developed a new modeling approach with application of the Newtonian relaxation technique,or *** this approach,an identical artificial Newtonian relaxation term that reflects the difference between the model reference state and its analysis(available in many sensitivity studies) is added to the prognostic equations of the two simulated states,the reference state and the perturbed state(for which observations are nonexistent).We have conducted idealized sensitivity experiments with a shallow-water model to evaluate the benefits and viability of this approach and to test its sensitivity to changes in the nudging period and error in the analysis *** experimental results confirm that this approach lead to more credible atmospheric responses to modified external forcing if the data error is within a reasonable *** results also indicate that a 12-hour period is more favorable for nudging than a 24-hour period.

This review article compiles the recent achievements made in layered rare-earth (RE) hydroxide (LRH), including controlled crystallization, structural and morphological features, anion exchange, nanosheet exfoliation, and application in the field of luminescence for both the Ln2(OH)5(Ax-)1/x·nH2O (251-LRH) and Ln2(OH)4(Ax-)2/x·nH2O (241-LRH) phases. The luminescent properties of the LRHs themselves, the oxide, oxysulfate, and oxysulfide phosphors derived from the LRHs via controlled calcination, and the highly oriented transparent phosphor films of enhanced luminescence and/or novel emission features are summarized.

Phosphor-converted near-infrared light-emitting diodes(NIR pc-LEDs) are finding applications in various fields including food quality analysis,biomedical imaging,night vision,and *** crucial factor in the development of NIR pc-LEDs devices lies in the advancement of high-performance broadband NIR phosphors,In this work,novel Cr^(3+)-activated silicate phosphors NaRESi_(3)O_(9)(RE=Y,Lu,Sc) are *** silicate has a special 3D network structure in which RE has four different sites,forming four octahedrons and providing suitable occupation sites for Cr^(3+).The phosphors demonstrate a wide emission spectrum ranging from 750 to 1450 nm when excited by light at 468 *** full width at half maximum(FWHM),which benefits from the presence of Cr^(3+)ions occupying multiple sites,is measured to be 203 ***,the strongest emission peak is observed at a longer wavelength of 984 nm compared to most other systems activated by Cr^(3+).The Na_(3)ScSi_(3)O_(9) lattice provides a weak crystal field(Dq/B=1.97) and weak phonon-photon coupling for Cr^(3+),and the integrated emission intensity of Na_(3)ScSi_(3)O_(9):0,03Cr^(3+)is 4.66 times stronger than that of Na_(3)YSi_(3)O_(9):0.03Cr^(3+).

Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)provide a unique platform with tunable structures allowing precise control of pore sizes,shapes and *** key to synthesizing COFs with desired structures is to precisely control the conformation and geometry of building blocks as well as the growth direction of *** achieve this,steric effects are noteworthy that may have a significant impact on the assembly of ***,the introduction of sterically demanding substituents or bulky groups into monomers of COFs will lead to intramolecular conformational changes and intermolecular repulsions,which induce structural changes in COFs,including changes in torsion angles,interlayer distances,stacking modes and topologies of 2D COFs,and changes in spatial nodes,interpenetration and topologies of 3D *** review will help to understand the impacts of steric effects on the structures of COFs and to take them into extensive consideration in the design and synthesis of COFs with novel functionalities and structural attributes.

Transportation Mode Identification with GPS Trajectory Data and GIS Information

Global Positioning System(GPS) trajectory data can be used to infer transportation modes at certain times and locations. Such data have important applications in many transportation research fields, for instance,to detect the movement mode of travelers, calculate traffic flow in an area, and predict the traffic flow at a certain time in the future. In this paper, we propose a novel method to infer transportation modes from GPS trajectory data and Geographic Information System(GIS) information. This method is based on feature extraction and machine learning classification algorithms. While using GIS information to improve inference accuracy, we ensure that the algorithm is simple and easy to use on mobile devices. Applied to GeoLife GPS trajectory dataset, our method achieves 91.1% accuracy while inferring transportation modes, such as walking, bike, bus, car, and subway, with random forest classification algorithm. GIS features in our method improved the overall accuracy by 2.5% while raising the recall of the bus and subway transportation mode categories by 3.4% and 18.5%. We believe that many algorithms used in detecting the transportation modes from GPS trajectory data that do not utilize GIS information can improve their inference accuracy by using our GIS features, with a slight increase in the consumption of data storage and computing resources.

Wound healing treatment after harvest is a critical step to protect sweet potatoes from *** method of phloroglucinol staining is commonly used for detecting ***,this method is not easy to identify the degree of callus as the color change is not obvious compared with non-curing roots for some cultivars.A new method based on the principle of starch test by iodine was developed for the detection of wound *** healing,the reducing sugar content increased while the starch content decreased to a lower level compared to that of the non-curing ***,the antioxidant capacity of the sweet potato after wound healing was higher than that in the *** healing combined with ethylene,1-methylcyclopropene(1-MCP),chlorpropham or abscisic acid were studied for inhibiting sprout of sweet potato root caused by high temperature during *** results showed ethylene and 1-MCP treatment had no negative effect on wound ***,1-MCP treatment was the most effective one on the suppression of sprouting and decay of sweet *** results indicate that iodine solution staining is a useful and rapid method to identify the wound healing extent,and 1-MCP treatment can effectively inhibit root sprouting during wound healing and the subsequent long-term storage.
