Three-dimensional S-wave velocity structure of the upper crust in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area:insights into the basins structure and genesis of hot springs

As one of the four largest bay areas with strong economic activities in the world,the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GHMGBA)is located in the zone of interaction between the South China Block(SCB)and the South China Sea(SCS).Under the influence of complex geologic evolution,basin-range structures,fault systems and hot springs are well developed ***,the characteristics of geological structures and the genetic mechanism of these geological phenomena are still ***,we performed ambient noise tomography to obtain 3-D upper crust(0-7.5 km)S-wave velocity structures of the GHMGBA by using 40-day continuous waveform data from 130 seismic stations in the *** results show that sedimentary basins in the GHMGBA are mainly characterized by low-velocity anomalies.S-wave velocities of sediment formation in basins are about 2.8-3.1 km/*** changes in velocity appear at the edges of the basins,which correspond to the NE-,NEE-,and NW-trending faults,indicating prominent basin-controlling effects of the *** Sanshui Basin(SSB),the largest in the GHMGBA,has a developmental depth of about 4 km,and there is a significant difference in velocity gradient between the east and west sides of the basin,indicating that SSB has experienced east-west asymmetric ***,there are prominent low-velocity anomalies at a depth of about 4.5 km beneath the hot springs at the west of the Zhujiang(Pearl)River estuary(ZRE).We infer that the low-velocity anomalies are fluid reservoirs of the hot springs,which lead to the development of the hot springs on the *** addition,the distribution of main cities in the GHMGBA shows a spatial correlation with low-velocity areas at shallow depths(<3 km).The population development trend in the GHMGBA in the past 20 years is also mainly concentrated in the structural province of relatively *** combination with the GHMGBA basin structures and drainage distribution characteristics,we suggest t

Sulfide solid electrolyte(SE)is one of the most promising technologies for all-solid-state batteries(ASSBs)because of its high ionic conductivity and ductile mechanical *** order to further improve the energy density of sulfide-based ASSBs and promote practical applications,silicon anodes with ultrahigh theoretical capacity(4,200 mAh·g^(−1))and rich resource abundance have broad commercial ***,significant challenges including bulk instability of sulfide SEs and poor utilization of silicon materials have severely impeded the ASSBs from becoming *** this review,we first introduce the critical bulk properties of sulfide SEs and the most recent improving strategies covering the ionic conductivity,air stability,electrochemical window,mechanical stability,thermostability and solvent ***,we introduce the main factors affecting the compatibility of silicon and sulfide SE,including the carbon’s effect,particle size of silicon,external pressure,silicon composite matrix and the depth of silicon’s ***,we discuss possible research directions in the *** hope that this review can provide a comprehensive picture of the role of nanoscale approaches in recent advances in ASSBs with sulfide and silicon,as well as a source of inspiration for future research.

In this work,the stable layer structure of serpentine,which seriously restricts the extraction of magnesium,was broken down,and a nearly 94%leaching efficiency of Mg was obtained by adding 5%fluorite *** with the system without fluorite,the Mg leaching efficiency increased by 36.42%.This result was achieved because the complexation of fluorinion(F)with Si in serpentine promoted a distorted tetrahedral orientation,which led to a loose crystal structure of serpentine and contributed to exposing more Mg for a remarkable increase in Mg *** is suggested that fluorite powder could replace expensive assisted reagents in the leaching process,which would markedly decreased the ***,an energy-efficient‘‘solvent displacement crystallization”(SDC)method was employed to efficiently recover magnesium(99.04%)from pregnant *** the same time,the reuse of fluorinecontaining solutions was explored.

The Nambu–Jona-Lasinio(NJL)model is one of the most useful tools for studying non-perturbative strong interactions in *** it is a nonrenormalizable model,the choice of regularization is a subtle *** this paper,we discuss one of the general issues regarding regularization in the NJL model,which is whether we need to use regularization for the thermal part by evaluating the quark chiral condensate and thermal properties in the two-flavor NJL *** calculations in this work include three regularization schemes that contain both gauge covariant and invariant *** found that,regardless of the regularization scheme we choose,it is necessary to use regularization for the thermal part when calculating physical quantities related to the chiral condensate and to not use regularization for the thermal part when calculating physical quantities related to the grand potential.

Some research on aircraft is largely inspired by *** them,aerial-aquatic amphibians with trans-media locomotion capabilities have greatly promoted the development of aquatic unmanned aerial vehicles(Aqua UAV).In this article,the studies of Aqua UAV are sorted out by their biological counterpart and summarized in chronological order from 2005 to *** further understand the key technologies of Aqua UAV,we focus on the structural compatibility design of wing and aerial-aquatic propulsion methods by analyzing their advantages and *** addition,the analysis methods of kinematics and dynamics performance of Aqua UAV for simulation and experiment are involved in the process of studying the kinematics,lift/drag,and propulsion of ***,we present several challenges and propose some potential solutions to improve the ability of Aqua UAV in the future.

Regional inequality significantly influences sustainable development and human *** China,there exists pronounced regional disparities in economic and digital advancements;however,scant research delves into the interplay between *** analyzing the economic development and digitalization gaps at regional and city levels in China,extending the original Cobb-Douglas production function,this study aims to evaluate the impact of digitalization on China's regional inequality using seemingly unrelated *** results indicate a greater emphasis on digital inequality compared to economic disparity,with variable coefficients of 0.59 for GDP per capita and 0.92 for the digitalization index over the past four ***,GDP per capita demonstrates higher spatial concentration than ***,both disparities have shown a gradual reduction in recent *** southeastern region of the Hu Huanyong Line exhibits superior levels and rates of economic and digital advancement in contrast to the northwestern *** digitalization propels economic growth,it yields a nuanced impact on achieving balanced regional development,encompassing both positive and negative *** study highlights that the marginal utility of advancing digitalization is more pronounced in less developed regions,but only if the government invests in the digital infrastructure and education in these *** study's methodology can be utilized for subsequent research,and our findings hold the potential to the government's regional investment and policy-making.

Effect of butanol on flotation separation of quartz from hematite with N-dodecyl ethylenediamine

In order to investigate the effect of butanol on quartz flotation when N-dodecyl ethylenediamine(ND)was used as collector, single mineral flotation and artificial mixed mineral(hematite and quartz were mixed at a mass ratio of 3:2) separation were conducted in the laboratory. Experimental results indicated that addition of butanol could improve the collecting performance of ND on quartz and enhance the floatability of quartz. Best flotation recovery of quartz was obtained when butanol was mixed with ND at a mass ratio of 1:1. Moreover, the molecular structure of alcohols had a significant effect on mineral recovery. Best separation efficiency could be obtained when tert-butanol was added as it had the largest cross-sectional area. Zeta potential measurements indicated that alcohols could strengthen electrostatic adsorption between quartz and collector. Molecular dynamic simulations revealed that co-adsorption of alcohols along with ND had taken place on the quartz surface, and ND/tert-butyl combinations were more easily absorbed on the quartz surface.
