During extended warranty(EW)period,maintenance events play a key role in controlling the product systems within normal operations.However,the modelling of failure process and maintenance optimization is complicated owing to the complex features of the product system,namely,components of the multi-component system are interdependent with each other in some form.For the purpose of optimizing the EW pricing decision of the multi-component system scientifically and rationally,taking the series multi-component system with economic dependence sold with EW policy as a research object,this paper optimizes the imperfect preventive maintenance(PM)strategy from the standpoint of EW cost.Taking into consideration adjusting the PM moments of the components in the system,a group maintenance model is developed,in which the system is repaired preventively in accordance with a specified PM base interval.In order to compare with the system EW cost before group maintenance,the system EW cost model before group maintenance is developed.Numerical example demonstrates that offering group maintenance programs can reduce EW cost of the system to a great extent,thereby reducing the EW price,which proves to be a win-win strategy to manufacturers and users.

Optical imaging methods have been widely applied in combustion diagnostics due to their high sensitivity, versatility, non-intrusiveness, and amenability for implementation in harsh environment [1,2]. Compared with traditional intrusive diagnostics, such as thermometry with thermocouples and manometry with pressure transducers, planar imaging methods provide richer insights into fluid dynamics and complex combustion phenomena.

To develop the microwave absorbing(MA)properties of cementitious material mixed with mine solid waste,the iron tailings cementitious microwave absorbing materials were prepared.The iron tailings was treated into different particle sizes by planetary ball mill,and the physicochemical properties of iron tailings were tested by laser particle size analyzer and scanning electron microscope(SEM).The electromagnetic parameters of iron tailings cementitious materials were characterized by a vector network analyzer and simulated MA properties,and the MA properties of iron tailings-cement composite system with steel fiber as absorber was studied.Based on the design of the single-layer structure,optimum mix ratio and thickness configuration method of double-layer structure were further studied,meanwhile,the mechanical properties and engineering application were analyzed and discussed.The results show that the particle size of iron tailings can afiect its electromagnetic behavior in cementitious materials,and the smaller particles lead the increase of demagnetisation efiect induced by domain wall motion and achieve better microwave absorbing properties in cementitious materials.When the thickness of matching layer and absorbing layer is 5 mm,the optimized microwave absorbing properties of C1/C3 double-layer cementitious material can obtain optimal RL value of-27.61 dB and efiective absorbing bandwidth of 0.97 GHz,which attributes to the synergistic efiect of impedance matching and attenuation characteristics.The double-layer microwave absorbing materials obtain excellent absorbing properties and show great design flexibility and diversity,which can be used as a suitable candidate for the preparation of favorable microwave absorbing cementitious materials.

Rice(Oryza sativa)is the main staple food crop that feeds more than half of the world's population.Given its relatively small genome size,abundant genetic resources,and highly efficient transformation technology,rice also remains as an excellent model system for monocot crops.In 2002,the International Rice Genome Sequencing Project(IRGSP)released the draft genome sequence of rice variety Nipponbare,the first crop genetic codebook deciphered right after the human genome(Yu et al.,2002).Since then,rice genome annotation,large-scale genome resequencing of diverse rice germplasm accessions,a comprehensive map of rice genome variations,and high-quality reference genome sequence,especially the gap-free reference genome,were completed successively in the next two decades along with the development of high-throughput DNA sequencing techniques(wang et al.,2018;Li et al.,2021;Song et al.,2021).Consequently,rice functional genomics research has boomed rapidly,greatly reshaping our knowledge of plant molecular biology and designed crop breeding.

The global adoption of efficient sustainable energy sources is a crucial step toward meeting energy demands while achieving carbon emission reduction targets.Solar energy has become a clean and cost-competitive alternative to traditional fossil fuels,but the intermittent nature of sunlight results in challenges associated with energy storage and transport.Photocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction intends to mimic natural photosynthesis for utilizing sunlight to chemically convert water and CO_(2) into fuels.In this process,the solar energy is captured and stored in fuels,so-called solar fuels,for widespread on-demand use.Heterogeneous solar fuel production systems are multi-component,comprising light-harvesting(photosensitizer)and catalytic(cocatalyst)units.Cocatalysts are indispensable for photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction systems,which promote charge carrier separation and transport,reduce the reaction activation energy,and alter the reaction route,thereby enhancing the activity and selectivity of the photocatalytic reactions.This review presents a comprehensive summary of the recent advancements in cocatalysts for photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR),with the purpose of providing new insights and guidance to the field with regard to research directions and best practices.We summarize how various cocatalysts including inorganic nanoparticles,metal complexes,enzymes,and bacteria can be combined with semiconductor photosensitizer for light-driven photocatalytic CO_(2)RR.Side-by-side comparisons reveal the strengths and limitations of each kind of cocatalysts and how lessons extracted from studying natural photosynthetic systems can be applied to investigations of artificial photosynthesis,presenting an outlook discussing possible future concepts for a more effective photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction process.

Neurotrophic factors,particularly nerve growth factor,enhance neuronal regeneration.However,the in vivo applications of nerve growth factor are largely limited by its intrinsic disadvantages,such as its short biological half-life,its contribution to pain response,and its inability to cross the blood-brain barrier.Considering that let-7(human miRNA)targets and regulates nerve growth factor,and that let-7 is a core regulator in peripheral nerve regeneration,we evaluated the possibilities of let-7 application in nerve repair.In this study,anti-let-7a was identified as the most suitable let-7 family molecule by analyses of endogenous expression and regulatory relationship,and functional screening.Let-7a antagomir demonstrated biosafety based on the results of in vivo safety assessments and it entered into the main cell types of the sciatic nerve,including Schwann cells,fibroblasts and macrophages.Use of hydrogel effectively achieved controlled,localized,and sustained delivery of let-7a antagomir.Finally,let-7a antagomir was integrated into chitosan conduit to construct a chitosan-hydrogel scaffold tissue-engineered nerve graft,which promoted nerve regeneration and functional recovery in a rat model of sciatic nerve transection.Our study provides an experimental basis for potential in vivo application of let-7a.

CMIP6 Projections of the“Warming–Wetting”Trend in Northwest China and Related Extreme Events Based on Observational Constraints

This study presents the improved future projections of the climate“warming-wetting”trend and climate extremes with different return periods in Northwest China at different global warming levels.The projections are based on the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project phase 6(CMIP6)simulations constrained by the high-resolution observation dataset using the equidistant cumulative distribution functions(EDCDF)method.The results indicate that the climate will experience continuous warming and wetting as reflected by average temperature and total precipitation over Northwest China,especially under the scenario of the shared socioeconomic pathway 5-representative concentration pathway 8.5(SSP5-8.5).Most parts of Northwest China will continue to warm in the future more than global average.Spatially,areas with prominent“warming-wetting”trends will be mainly distributed in western Northwest China.It is worth noting that extreme heat and precipitation events will also increase with the climate warming and wetting over Northwest China.Moreover,frequencies of rarer extreme events will increase more apparently than weaker extreme events and frequency increase of extreme heat events responds to global warming faster than that of extreme precipitation events.Limiting global warming within 2℃relative to 1850-1900 would slowdown the increase in extreme heat events and considerably suppress the increase in frequencies of extreme precipitation events,especially the rare(i.e.,50-yr)extreme events.

Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)have been extensively identified in eukaryotic genomes and have been shown to play critical roles in the development of multiple cancers.Through the application and development of ribosome analysis and sequencing technologies,advanced studies have discovered the translation of lncRNAs.Although lncRNAs were originally defined as noncoding RNAs,many lncRNAs actually contain small open reading frames that are translated into peptides.This opens a broad area for the functional investigation of lncRNAs.Here,we introduce prospective methods and databases for screening lncRNAs with functional polypeptides.We also summarize the specific lncRNA-encoded proteins and their molecular mechanisms that promote or inhibit cancerous.Importantly,the role of lncRNA-encoded peptides/proteins holds promise in cancer research,but some potential challenges remain unresolved.This review includes reports on lncRNA-encoded peptides or proteins in cancer,aiming to provide theoretical basis and related references to facilitate the discovery of more functional peptides encoded by lncRNA,and to further develop new anti-cancer therapeutic targets as well as clinical biomarkers of diagnosis and prognosis.

There is a lack of systematic research on the expression of internal control genes used for gene expression normalization in real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction in spinal cord injury research.In this study,we used rat models of spinal cord hemisection to analyze the expression stability of 13 commonly applied reference genes:Actb,Ankrd27,CypA,Gapdh,Hprt1,Mrpl10,Pgk1,Rictor,Rn18s,Tbp,Ubc,Ubxn11,and Ywhaz.Our results show that the expression of Ankrd27,Ubc,and Tbp were stable after spinal cord injury,while Actb was the most unstable internal control gene.Ankrd27,Ubc,Tbp,and Actb were consequently used to investigate the effects of internal control genes with differing stabilities on the normalization of target gene expression.Target gene expression levels and changes over time were similar when Ankrd27,Ubc,and Tbp were used as internal controls but different when Actb was used as an internal control.We recommend that Ankrd27,Ubc,and Tbp are used as internal control genes for real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction in spinal cord injury research.This study was approved by the Administration Committee of Experimental Animals,Jiangsu Province,China(approval No.20180304-008)on March 4,2018.

Objective:To determine whether salvianolic acid B(Sal B)exerts protective effects on diabetic peripheral neuropathy by attenuating apoptosis and pyroptosis.Methods:RSC96 cells were primarily cultured with DMEM(5.6 mmol/L glucose),hyperglycemia(HG,125 mmol/L glucose)and Sal B(0.1,1,and 10μmol/L).Cells proliferation was measured by 3-(4,5-cimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-dilphenyltetrazolium bromide assay.Reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation and apoptosis rate were detected by flow cytometry analysis.Western blot was performed to analyze the expressions of poly ADP-ribose polymerase(PARR),cleaved-caspase 3,cleavedcaspase 9,Bcl-2,Bax,NLRP3,ASC,and interleukin(IL)-1β.Results:Treatment with HG at a concentration of125 mmol/L attenuated cellular proliferation,while Sal B alleviated this injury(P<0.05).In addition,Sal B inhibited HG-induced ROS production and apoptosis rate(P<0.05).Furthermore,treatment with Sal B down-regulated HG-induced PARP,cleaved-caspase 3,cleaved-caspase 9,Bax,NLRP3,ASC,and IL-1βexpression,but mitigated HG-mediated down-regulation of Bcl-2 expression(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sal B may protect RSC96 cells against HG-induced cellular injury via the inhibition of apoptosis and pyroptosis activated by ROS.
