Since the 1990s, the Yellow River stream has been temporarily interrupted for several years, which affects the development of society, the economy and human life, limits the economic potential of the drainage areas, and especially causes great harm to regions on the lower reaches. Based on the analysis of the relationship between the development of society and economy and water scarcity, the author thinks it is necessary to optimize and adjust the industrial structure that has extravagantly consumed enormous amounts of water, and to develop ecological agriculture, industry and tourism which are balanced with the ecological environment. Finally, the author puts forward several pieces of advice and countermeasures about how to build the economic systems by which water can be used economically.

With global surge in reservoir construction over the past decades,river systems worldwide have been profoundly ***,flow manipulation by reservoirs has altered the natural hydrological processes,resulting in extensive modifications of fluvial-marine *** the adverse ecological consequences of reservoirs has become a global concern and has garnered increasing *** Yellow River,as one of the most extensively manipulated river systems globally,has experienced substantial changes in the amount and timing of water discharge due to the presence of numerous reservoirs scattered throughout its catchment *** alterations have caused physicochemical changes in the estuary and subsequent modifications to the estuarine *** recent years,the Yellow River Conservancy Committee initiated the release of water through the Xiaolangdi Dam during the major spawning period of fisheries,specifically in the spring,with the aim of improving the estuarine ecological *** 2011 to 2020,a total of 84.05 km^(3.of water was discharged from the Xiaolangdi Reservoir during spring seasons,of which 40%(3..16 km^(3.)constituted water impounded within the reservoir during preceding ***,the spring water discharge from the Yellow River to the sea increased significantly from 1.50 km^(3./yr to 3.46 km^(3./yr in the past decade,leading to a decrease in estuarine salinity by 1.6 *** estuarine fishery resources,such as fish eggs in the Yellow River estuary,have demonstrated evident *** reservoir regulation in the Yellow River,which has successfully enhanced spring water discharge and subsequently restored estuarine fishery resources,presents an effective attempt for mitigating the adverse ecological effects associated with reservoirs.

Regional CO_(2) emissions are closely related to their territorial function, which is the major role a region plays in sustainable processes on the earth's surface. Given that china is implementing a top-down emission allocation quota strategy, studying the impact of a territorial function on emissions addresses the research gap from a spatial integration *** investigating the effects of three basic functional territories(urbanization zones(UZ), food security zones(FSZ), and ecological security zones(ESZ)), horizontal spatial structure and vertical combinations of functional territories on CO_(2) emission patterns in china, we found that functional territory patterns were highly coupled with the spatial distribution of CO_(2) emissions, with a ratio of CO_(2) emissions from UZ–FSZ–ESZ was stable at around 5:2:1 from 2000 to 2017. Spatially, CO_(2) emissions in FSZ and ESZ were 1.06–2.12 times higher than the average value within 200 km from the UZ. As territorial function combination increased with spatial upscaling, the emission characteristics attributable to functional territories became indistinct. The findings above can provide a basis for the long-term prediction of CO_(2) emissions from spatial dimension, support scientific guidance for inter-zone cooperation and classified management of carbon emissions with the major function oriented zones as impetus.

Some 13.3.hair samples from about 200 sample sites are collected. These sites cover 103.counties with different types of natural conditions and are far from cities (towns) or polluted *** hair As contents are analysed by hydro-atomic fluorescence spetrophotometry and the data are calculated by SPSS. The results show that Chinese hair As contents are between 0.004 and 9.999 μu/*** median is 0.56μg/g. The arithmetic mean is (0.927±1.213. μg/g and the geometric mean is 0.571 μg/g. There are no significant differences between sexes and ages. The results of Pelson X2 and Shapio-Wilk W tests show that the As content in the same physical geographical area has a logarithm normal distribution. Hair As contents in southern china are significantly higher than that in the *** geometric means are 0.2~0.4 μg/g in medium-temperate zone and 0.4~0.6 μg/g in warm-temperate zone. In north-subtropical zone the hair As geometric mean increase up to 0.767 μg/g and in medium-subtropical zone, south-subtropical zone and tropical zone, it is higher than 1.00 μg/g. There is no difference between areas in the same physical geographical zone. Hair As content in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau area is also lower (the geometric mean is 0.267 μg/g). The standard level of hair As content for determining chronic Arsenism areas in china is also discussed.

The joint study of agriculture and rural areas is of great significance for safeguarding agricultural development,revitalizing rural areas,and enhancing farmers'*** paper aims to assess the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of the coupling and coordination degree of agricultural resilience and rural land use efficiency and their dynamic transfer law and driving mechanisms,based on panel data of 3. provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)in china from 2010 to *** results showed:(1)Good coupling and coordination of agricultural resilience and rural land use efficiency,with reduced temporal differentiation degrees between regions;(2)Significant spatial autocorrelation between the overall coupling and coordination degrees of agricultural resilience and rural land use efficiency,forming cold spot and hot spot spatial patterns in the western and eastern parts,respectively,with a central transition area;(3.A spillover effect of the dynamic transfer process,with a manifested specific law as"club convergence","Matthew effect",and progressive development characteristics;(4)The key roles of the natural,social,economic,and policy indicators in the coupling and coordination development process of agricultural resilience and rural land use ***,the selected indicators showed substantial spatial differences in their influences on the coupling and coordination process between provinces.

This paper presents information on the particle size characteristics of suspended sediment transported by the Liu River, which has the most serious erosion and sedimentation problems in the northeast of china. The median (d50) particle size for the individual stations on the Liu River ranged from 0.03.3.to 0.0588 mm. Particles 3..3. and >0.05 mm of ranged from 24.3.to 53.7%. Spatial and temporal variations were noticeable in the particle size composition of suspended sediment within the study basins. At different locations the sediment particles size varies as a result of differences in catchment characteristics. The preferential deposition of the coarser size fractions has resulted in downstream fining of the suspended sediment load. In the flood season the suspended sediment particle size was finer than that in low flow season. The relations among water discharge, suspended sediment concentration, and sediment particle size are complicated. At small water discharge or suspended sediment concentration, with the increase of water discharge or sediment concentration the particle size of suspended sediment decreases to a minimum. However, when the water discharge or sediment concentration exceed certain threshold values (turning points) the particle size increases or remains constant with the increase of water discharge or sediment concentration. The tuning points are different in different rivers. Thus, their relations are double-valued. The negative relation between suspended sediment particle size and flow discharge reflects the importance of supply conditions and the positive relation reflects that the flow and hydraulics take a greater role in sediment transportation. On the whole, variation of the sediment particle size is subject to many factors such as the hydraulic conditions, the type and extent of erosion, human activities, vegetation coverage, hydraulic projects, and sediment supply. Landscape in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River in china has un-dergone significant changes for thousands of years due to agricultural *** of reliable long-term and high-resolution historical cropland data has limited our ability in un-derstanding and quantifying human impacts on regional climate change,carbon and water *** this study,we used a data-driven modeling framework that combined multiple sources of data(historical provincial cropland area,historical coastlines,and satellite da-ta-based maximum cropland extent)with a new gridding allocation model for croplands dis-tribution to reconstruct a historical cropland dataset for the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River at a 10-km resolution for 58 time points ranging from the period 1000 to *** cropland area in the study area increased by 2.3.times from 21.87 million ha in 1000 to 50.64 million ha in *** 13.3.the area of cropland increased slowly and was pri-marily concentrated in the Weihe and Fenhe *** 13.3.1820,the area of cropland increased rapidly,particularly on the North china *** 1820,cropland cover has tended to become *** newly reconstructed results agreed well with remotely sensed data as well as historical document-based facts regarding cropland distribution.

分析了黑土腐殖质、黑土母质、黑土区气候、地貌、植被及人类开垦等活动与黑土侵蚀之间的关系,指出了黑土区农业开垦与耕作是导致黑土流失的主要原因,同时,在人类干预条件下,某些自然因素对黑土加速侵蚀的影响就会明显地凸现出来。实际上,黑土区独特的自然环境与人类活动方式已经使其成为目前中国土壤侵蚀潜在危险性最大的地区之一。目前,黑土流失速度相当快,不少地区已经出现了成土母质露于地表的现象,土壤侵蚀严重。如果我们现在还不能正确认识黑土地治理的紧迫性,黑土区很快就将变为名副其实的"不毛之地"了。
