Understanding the driving mechanism of the divergence of hoarding strategies of animals(i.e.,scatter-hoarding ***-hoarding)is crucial to understand the ecological and evolutionary implications of plant-animal *** et al.(2022)compiled a global-scale dataset from the published literature including 183 species of seed-hoarding rodents,and concluded that phylogenetic conservatism,functional traits,and environmental factors counted for the hoarding behavior divergence of rodents.A more thought-provoking question may be asked:Do these variables contribute equally or not to explain the divergence of hoarding strategies?Here,we re-analyzed Zhang et al's(2022)dataset using partial Ralk calculation(Ives 2019)to parse out the relative contri-lik butions of these variables.

A Ni–P alloy gradient coating consisting of multiple electroless Ni–P layers with various phosphorus contents was prepared on the aviation aluminum alloy. Several characterization and electrochemical techniques were used to characterize the different Ni–P coatings’ morphologies, phase structures, elemental compositions, and corrosion protection. The gradient coating showed good adhesion and high corrosion and wear resistance, enabling the application of aluminum alloy in harsh environments. The results showed that the double zinc immersion was vital in obtaining excellent adhesion (81.2 N). The optimal coating was not peeled and shredded even after bending tests with angles higher than 90°and was not corroded visually after 500 h of neutral salt spray test at 35℃. The high corrosion resistance was attributed to the misaligning of these micro defects in the three different nickel alloy layers and the amorphous structure of the high P content in the outer layer. These findings guide the exploration of functional gradient coatings that meet the high application requirement of aluminum alloy parts in complicated and harsh aviation environments.

This paper proposes an electromagnetic coil topology and its control strategy,which can be incorporated into the electromagnetic docking device to achieve relative pose control in satellite *** target satellite has a main coil;the chaser satellite possesses a main coil of the same size accompanied by six and four evenly arranged secondary coils inside and outside the main coil,*** coil on the target satellite is DC energized,while the currents in the coils of the chaser satellite are *** remove the coupling between the pitch/yaw torque and translational force,the internal and external secondary coils of the chaser satellite interact with the main coil of the target satellite to perform the control of relative pitch/yaw and relative translation,respectively,so relative pose control can be *** torque and force vectors exerted by the secondary coils of the chaser satellite are synthesized onto the pitch and yaw axes of the body *** to their spatial composition relationship,the formulas are proposed,which obtain the magnetic moment vectors of the coils from the set torques and *** controllers regulating pitch/yaw,translation,and distance utilize a three-loop cascaded structure that consists of an outer position loop,a middle velocity loop and an inner current *** control strategy is verified by dynamics simulation.

Impact of Hinterland Manufacturing on the Development of Container Ports: Evidence from the Pearl River Delta, China

Container ports and hinterland manufacturing are two important forces of the local participation in economic *** study,taking the Pearl River Delta(PRD),China with an export-oriented economy as an example,applies Huff and panel regres-sion models to evaluate the impact of hinterland manufacturing on the development of container ports during the period of 1993–*** results show that 1)the spatial patterns of hinterlands for hub ports help to determine the distribution range and scale of economic variables that affect port throughput;2)the hinterland’s gross manufacturing output has universally positive influence on port through-put,wherein export-oriented processing and the entire manufacturing industry have significantly positive impact on port throughput in 1993–2011 and 2001–2019,respectively;3)the two internal structural factors related to an export-oriented economy,labor-intensive sectors and foreign-funded terminals,have positively moderate the direct influence of hinterland manufacturing on port *** results highlight the importance of local context in understanding port-manufacturing relationship in developing *** on our findings,policy implications are further proposed to enhance port network organization in PRD.

Enrichment of anammox biomass during mainstream wastewater treatment driven by achievement of partial denitrification through the addition of bio-carriers

Anammox is widely considered as the most cost-effective and sustainable process for nitrogen ***,how to achieve the enrichment of anammox biomass remains a challenge for its large-scale application,especially in mainstream wastewater *** this study,the feasibility of enrichment of anammox biomass was explored through the realization of partial denitrification and the addition of *** using ordinary activated sludge,a sequencing batch reactor(SBR)followed by an up-fow anaerobic sludge bed(UASB)was operated at 25±2℃ for 214 *** long-term operation was divided into five phases,in which SBR and UASB were started-up in Phases I and II,*** eliminating oxygen and adjusting the infow ratios in Phases III-V,advanced nitrogen removal was achieved with the effuent total nitrogen being 4.7 mg/L and the nitrogen removal efficiency being 90.5%in Phase *** in-situ and ex-situ activity tests demonstrated the occurrence of partial denitrification and ***,16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing analysis revealed that Candidatus Brocadia was enriched from below the detection limit to in biofilms(0.4%in SBR,2.2%in UASB)and the foc sludge(0.2%in SBR,1.3%in UASB),while Thauera was mainly detected in the foc sludge(8.1%in SBR,8.8%in UASB),which might play a key role in partial ***,this study provides a novel strategy to enrich anammox biomass driven by rapid achievement of partial denitrification through the addition of bio-carriers,which will improve large-scale application of anammox processes in mainstream wastewater treatment.

Exhaust gas recirculation control(EGRC),an inlet air heating technology,can be utilized in combination with inlet/variable guide vane control(IGV/VGVC) and fuel flow control(FFC) to regulate the load,thereby effectively improving the part-load(i.e.,off-design) performance of the gas turbine combined cycle(GTCC).In this study,the E-,F-,and H-Class EGR-GTCC design and off-design system models were established and validated to perform a comparative analysis of the part-load performance under the EGR-IGV-FFC and conventional IGV-FFC strategies in the E/F/H-Class *** show that EGR-IGV-FFC has considerable potential for the part-load performance enhancement and can show a higher combined cycle efficiency than IGV-FFC in the E-,F-,and H-Class ***,the part-load performance improvement in the corresponding GTCC was weakened for the higher class of the gas turbine because of the narrower load range of EGR action and the deterioration of the gas turbine ***,EGR-IGV-FFC was inferior to IGV-FFC in improving the performance at loads below 50% for the H-Class *** results obtained in this paper could help guide the application of EGR-IGV-FFC to enhance the part-load performance of various classes of GTCC systems.

At high cycles of steam huff&puff,oil distribution in reservoirs becomes stronger heterogeneity due to steam *** solidification agent can be used to solve this *** solution is a lowviscosity liquid at normal temperature,but it can be solidified above 80℃.The plugging degree is up to 99%at 250℃.The sweep efficiency reaches 59.2%,which is 7.3%higher than pure steam *** addition,simultaneous injection of viscosity reducer and/or nitrogen foams can further enhance oil *** mechanism of this technology depends on its strong plugging ability,which changes the flowing pattern of steam to effectively mobilize remaining *** reducer and nitrogen foams further expand the sweep range and extends the effective ***,thermal solidification agent can plug steam channeling paths and adjust steam flowing direction to significantly enhance oil recovery at high cycles of steam huff&puff.

Betalain has received increased attention because of its high nutritional value and crucial physiological *** on the elucidation of its core biosynthetic pathway,betalain can be produced in additional plants by metabolic *** of betalain in carrot(Daucus carota L.)can improve its nutritional quality and economic value by extracting betalain from the fleshy root,non-edible part,and processing residue of *** this study,two different constructs,namely,pYB:mCD(AomelOS,BvCYP76AD1S,and BvDODA1S)and p YB:CDD(BvCYP76AD1S,BvDODA1S,and MjcDOPA5GTS),were introduced into carrot for betanin synthesis by Agrobacterium-mediated *** can be synthetized in both transgenic calli,and p YB:m CD-transgenic callus can be used to produce betacyanin by suspension ***,pYB:mCD-transgenic seedlings can synthetize betanin only by tyrosine *** p YB:CDD-transgenic lines can synthetize betanin in whole *** betanin content in fleshy root of pYB:CDD-transgenic carrot was(63.4±9)μg·g^(-1)fresh weight according to quantitative *** betanin-producing carrot plant materials can be used to synthesize betanin for industrial application or consumption as dietary sources.
