A strategy for strengthening chaotic mixing of dual shaft eccentric mixers by changing non-Newtonian fluids kinetic energy distribution

Efficiently modulating the velocity distribution and flow pattern of non-Newtonian fluids is a critical challenge in the context of dual shaft eccentric mixers for process intensification,posing a significant barrier for the existing ***,this work reports a convenient strategy that changes the kinetic energy to controllably regulate the flow patterns from radial flow to axial *** showed that the desired velocity distribution and flow patterns could be effectively obtained by varying the number and structure of baffles to change kinetic energy,and a more uniform velocity distribution,which could not be reached normally in standard baffle dual shaft mixers,was easily ***,a comparative analysis of velocity and shear rate distributions is employed to elucidate the mechanism behind the generation of flow patterns in various dual-shaft eccentric ***,there is little difference in the power number of the laminar flow at the same Reynolds number,meaning that the baffle type has no effect on the power consumption,while the power number of both unbaffle and U-shaped baffle mixing systems decreases compared with the standard baffle mixing system in the transition ***,at the same rotational condition,the dimensionless mixing time of the U-shaped baffle mixing system is 15.3%and 7.9%shorter than that of the standard baffle and the unbaffle mixing system,respectively,which shows the advantage of the U-shaped baffle in stirring rate.

The microstructure and microsegregation of atomized powder,which depend on their sizes,are of great importance to the mechanical properties of the consolidated bulk ***,it is necessary to reveal the relationship between particle size and powder *** effects of particle size on the so-lidification characterization of the atomized Ni-based superalloy powders were studied via finite element *** on the simulations,a model was developed to predict the microsegregation and mi-crostructure of atomized powders with different sizes and study the influence of thermal history on the powder attributes during the atomization *** radiation heat transfer and temperature gradi-ent within the rapid solidification alloy powders were taken into account in this *** validating the accuracy of the model,the predictions of the present model were compared with the microsegregation and microstructure of the specific size powder close to the screen mesh *** results showed that mi-crostructure depended primarily on the temperature gradient within the powder,while the solidification rate had a more significant effect on the *** model predicted microstructure features in agreement with the experiment,and for microsegregation,the deviations of prediction for most ele-ments were less than 10%.This work provides a new model to precisely predict the microsegregation and microstructure of the atomized alloy powders and sets a foundation to control the powder features for various engineering applications.

The association between PM_(2.5)(particulate matter≤2.5μm)short-term exposure and its health effect is non-linear from the epidemiological *** this nonlinearity is suggested to be related with the PM_(2.5)heterogeneity,however,the underlying biological mechanism is still ***,a total of 38 PM_(2.5)filters were collected continuously for three weeks in winter Beijing,with the ambient PM_(2.5)varying between 10 and 270μg/m^(3).Human monocytes-derived macrophages(THP-1)were treated with PM_(2.5)water-soluble elutes at10μg/mL to investigate the PM_(2.5)short-term exposure effect from a proinflammatory *** proinflammatory cytokine tumor necrosis factor(TNF)induced by the PM_(2.5)elutes at equal concentrations were unequal,showing the heterogeneity of PM_(2.5)proinflammatory *** the various chemical and biological components,lipopolysaccharide(LPS)showed a strong positive association with the TNF ***,some outliers were observed among the TNF-LPS ***,for PM_(2.5)from relatively clean air episodes,the higher LPS amount corresponded to relatively low TNF *** this phenomenon was also observed in the promotion tests by treating macrophages with PM_(2.5)elutes dosed with additional trace *** expression analysis indicated the involvement of oxidative-stress related genes in the LPS signaling ***,a potential oxidative-stress-mediated suppression on the PM_(2.5)-borne LPS proinflammatory effect was proposed to be accounted for the ***,the results showed the differential role of LPS in the heterogeneity of PM_(2.5)proinflammatory effects from a component-based *** experimental studies are needed to elucidate the signaling pathway of LPS attached on PM_(2.5)from different air quality episodes.

Energy supply dominated by fossil energy has been and remains the main cause of carbon dioxide emissions,the major greenhouse gas leading to the current grave climate change *** technical pathways have been proposed to address the *** capture and utilization(CCU) represents one of the approaches and thermochemical CO_(2) splitting driven by thermal energy is a subset of the CCU,which converts the captured CO_(2) into CO and makes it possible to achieve closed-loop carbon ***-active catalysts are among the most critical components of the thermochemical splitting cycles and perovskites are regarded as the most promising *** we review the latest advancements in thermochemical cycles based on perovskites,covering thermodynamic principles,material modifications,reaction kinetics,oxygen pressure control,circular strategies,and demonstrations to provide a comprehensive overview of the topical *** cycles based on such materials require the consideration of trade-off between cost and efficiency,which is related to actual material used,operation mode,oxygen removal,and heat *** of efforts have been made towards improving reaction rates,conversion efficiency and cycling stability,materials related research has been lacking-a key aspect affecting the performance across all above *** perovskites and composite perovskites arise recently as a potentially promising addition to material *** such materials,more effective oxygen removal would be needed to enhance the overall efficiency,for which thermochemical or electrochemical oxygen pumps could contribute to efficient oxygen removal as well as serve as means for inert gas *** integration of thermochemical CO_(2) splitting process with downstream fuel production and other processes could reduce costs and increase efficiency of the *** represents one of the directions for the future research.

On account of the complicated magnetic exchange interactions between lanthanide ions,binuclear lanthanide complexes have broad application prospect in the field of single-molecule ***,it is necessary to develop reasonable bridging ligands to manipulate the directional assembly of binuclear lanthanide ***,we selected the macrocyclic ligand L^(N_(8)O_(2))to build up two new dilanthanide complexes[Ln_(2)(LN_(8)O_(2))(OpyO)_(2)(H_(2)O)2](NO_(3))_(2)(1-Ln,Ln=Dy,Tb;LN_(8)O_(2)=hexamethyl-tetraaza-dioxe-dipyrazolacycloicosaphane-2,9,12,19-tetraene;OpyOH=2-pyridinol-1-oxide).Dynamic magnetic studies show that 1-Dy exhibits slow relaxation behavior under a 1 kOe applied *** fitting analysis of relaxation times gives the effective energy barrier of 38.2 cm^(−1),and reveals that the slow magnetic relaxation behavior is dominated by the Orbach and Raman ***-resolution luminescence emission spectrum indicates the energy gap of 36.8 cm^(−1)between the ground state and the first excited state,consistent with the magnetic measurement results.1-Tb exhibits brilliant characteristic green light emission under UV light *** absolute quantum yield of 1-Tb is 44.8%,and its first-order fitted decay lifetime is 779.21μs at room *** study provides the way for directional construction of high-performance molecular materials with magnetic and optical dual-function.

An efficient N–H and C(sp~3)-H functionalization of aryl ketones with benzylamines/amino acids was developed under mild conditions by virtue of anodic oxidation. A variety of functionalized 2,5-diaryloxazoles were obtained with good to excellent yields. Moreover, some important natural products can be prepared by this method. The reaction features a broad substrate scope, scalability, metal-free and chemical oxidant-free.

With regard to green chemistry and sustainable development,the fixation of CO_(2) into epoxides to form cyclic carbonates is an attractive and promising pathway for CO_(2) *** oxides,renowned as promising eco-friendly catalysts for industrial production,are often undervalued in terms of their impact on the CO_(2)addition *** this work,we successfully developed ZnO nanoplates with(002)surfaces and ZnO nanorods with(100)surfaces via morphology-oriented regulation to explore the effect of crystal faces on CO_(2) *** quantitative data obtained from electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy indicated that the concentration of oxygen vacancies on the ZnO nanoplate surfaces was more than twice that on the ZnO nanorod *** functional theory calculations suggested that the(002)surfaces have lower adsorption energies for CO_(2) and epichlorohydrin than the(100)*** a result,the yield of cyclochloropropene carbonate on the ZnO nanoplates(64.7%)was much greater than that on the ZnO nanorods(42.3%).Further evaluation of the reused catalysts revealed that the decrease in the oxygen vacancy concentration was the primary factor contributing to the decrease in catalytic *** on these findings,a possible catalytic mechanism for CO_(2) cycloaddition with epichlorohydrin was *** work provides a new idea for the controllable preparation of high-performance ZnO catalysts for the synthesis of cyclic carbonates from CO_(2) and epoxides.

Multiple myeloma(MM)remains a challenging hematologic malignancy despite advancements in chimeric antigen receptor T-cell(CAR-T)*** targets of CAR-T cells used in MM immunotherapy have limitations,with a subset of patients experiencing antigen loss resulting in ***,novel targets for enhancing CAR-T cell therapy in MM remain *** receptor-like 5(FCRL5)is a protein marker with considerably upregulated expression in MM and has emerged as a promising target for CAR-T cell therapeutic interventions,offering an alternative treatment for *** further explore this option,we designed FCRL5-directed CAR-T cells and assessed their cytotoxicity in vitro using a co-culture system and in vivo using MM cell-derived xenograft models,specifically focusing on MM with gain of chromosome *** the challenges in CAR-T therapies arising from limited T cell persistence,our approach incorporates interleukin-15(IL-15),which enhances the functionality of central memory T(TCM)cells,into the design of FCRL5-directed CAR-T cells,to improve cytotoxicity and reduce T-cell dysfunction,thereby promoting greater CAR-T cell survival and *** in vitro and xenograft models displayed that FCRL5 CAR-T cells incorporating IL-15 exhibited potent antitumor efficacy,effectively inhibiting the proliferation of MM cells and leading to remarkable tumor *** results highlight the capacity of FCRL5-specific CAR-T cells with the integration of IL-15 to improve the therapeutic potency,suggesting a potential novel immunotherapeutic strategy for MM treatment.

This paper proposed an optimal approach to disperse the composite conductive agent which is composed of carbon black(CB)and graphene(Gr)within lithium-ion battery(liB)slurry with different mixing speeds and mixing *** internal structures of liB slurry are characterized by Electro-chemical Impedance Spectroscopy,Scanning Electron Microscopy,and Raman ***,a composite conductive solution is prepared by mixing the composite conductive agent with NMP solvent under the conditions of five different mixing speeds n1(n1=1000,1100,1200,1300,1400 rpm)in the case of mixing time t1=10 ***,liB slurry is prepared by blending the composite conductive solution,liCoO2 and PVDF-NMP solution under the conditions of five different mixing speeds n2(n2=1000±280,1100±280,1200±280,1300±280,1400±280 rpm)in the case of mixing time t2=6 *** analyzing the internal structure of different liB slurries,it shows that in the case of n1=n2=1200 rpm,a conductive network structure is well formed within liB ***,in order to determine the optimal time to prepare the composite conductive solution for liB slurry,nine different t1(t1=0,10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80 min)are *** analyzing the internal structure of different liB slurries,a well-formed conductive network structure and a uniformly distributed composite conductive agent are deduced in liB slurry when t1=50 ***,it can be concluded that the composite conductive agent composed of CB and Gr is able to be uniformly dispersed in liB slurry by establishing a well-formed conductive network structure under the optimal mixing speed n1=n2=1200 rpm and the optimal mixing time t1=50 min,t2=6 *** kind of the internal structure has the potential to be used to further analyze the dispersion characterizations of liB slurry under different composite conductive agent and CB/Gr ratios with the aim of improving the final per-formance of liB.
