Consolidation treatment needed for sustained HBsAg-negative response induced by interferon-alpha in HBeAg positive chronic hepatitis B patients

Hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)clearance is considered as functional cure in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).This study aimed to assess the durability of HBsAg clearance achieved by interferon-based therapies in patients with CHB who were originally positive for hepatitis B envelope antigen(HBeAg).In this prospective study,HBeAg-positive CHB patients with confirmed HBsAg loss under interferon-based therapies were enrolled within 12 weeks from end of treatment and followed up for 48 *** markers,biochemical indicators,and liver imaging examinations were observed every 3–6 *** functional cure was analysed as primary *** associated with sustained HBsAg loss or reversion was also *** rate of HBsAg loss sustainability was 91.8%(212/231).Patients receiving consolidation treatment for 12–24weeks or≥24 weeks had higher rates of sustained HBsAg negativity than those receiving consolidation treatment for<12 weeks(98.3%and 91.2%vs.86.7%,P=0.068),and the former groups had significantly higher anti-HBs levels than the later(P<0.05).The cumulative incidence of HBsAg reversion and HBV DNA reversion was 8.2%and 3.9%,*** treatment of≥12 weeks[odd ratio(OR)3.318,95%confidence interval(CI)1.077–10.224,P=0.037)was a predictor of sustained functional cure,and HBeAg-positivity at cessation of treatment(OR 12.271,95%CI 1.076–139.919,P=0.043)was a predictor of HBsAg ***-alpha induced functional cure was durable and a consolidation treatment of≥12–24 weeks was needed after HBsAg loss in HBeAg-positive CHB patients.

The photoluminescence of Co-Al-layered double hydroxide

We report a new optical behaviour of pure Co-Al-layered double hydroxide （LDH）. It was found that the Co-Al-LDH sample could emit fluorescence without any fluorescent substances intercalated. Its excitation spectrum shows a maximum peak near the wavelength 370 nm, the maximum emission peak appears at 430 um and the photoluminescence colour of the Co-Al-LDH sample is blue. This new optical property will be expected to extend the potential applications of LDHs in optical materials field.

A Reliable Iteration Algorithm for One-Bit Compressive Sensing on the Unit Sphere

The one-bit compressed sensing problem is of fundamental importance in many areas,such as wireless communication,statistics,and so ***,the optimization of one-bit problem coustrained on the unit sphere lacks an algorithm with rigorous mathematical proof of convergence and *** this paper,an iteration algorithm is established based on difference-of-convex algorithm for the one-bit compressed sensing problem constrained on the unit sphere,with iterating formula■,where C is the convex cone generated by the one-bit measurements andη_(1)>η_(2)>1/*** new algorithm is proved to converge as long as the initial point is on the unit sphere and accords with the measurements,and the convergence to the global minimum point of the l_(1)norm is discussed.

Characteristics and Formation Mechanism for Stainless Steel Fiber with Periodic Micro-fins

Metal fibers have been widely used in many industrial applications due to their unique advantages. In certain applications, such as catalyst supports or orthopedic implants, a rough surface or tiny outshoots on the surface of metal fibers to increase surface area are needed. However, it has not been concerned about the surface morphologies of metal fiber in the current research of metal fiber manufacturing. In this paper, a special multi-tooth tool composed of a row of triangular tiny teeth is designed. The entire cutting layer of multi-tooth tool bifurcates into several thin cutting layers due to tiny teeth involved in cutting. As a result, several stainless steel fibers with periodic micro-fins are produced simultaneously. Morphology of periodic micro-fins is found to be diverse and can be classified into three categories： unilateral plane, unilateral tapering and bilateral. There are two forming mechanisms for the micro-fins. One is that periodic burrs remained on the free side of cutting layer of a tiny tooth create micro-fins of stainless steel fiber produced by the next neighboring tiny tooth; the other is that the connections between two fibers stuck together come to be micro-fins if the two fibers are finally detached. Influence of cutting conditions on formation of micro-fins is investigated. Experimental results show that cutting depth has no significant effect on micro-fin formation, high cutting speed is conducive to micro-fin formation, and feed should be between 0.12 mm/r and 0.2 mm/r to reliably obtain stainless steel fiber with micro-fins. This research presents a new pattern of stainless steel fiber characterized by periodic micro-fins formed on the edge of fiber and its manufacturing method.

N^6-Methyladenosine modification: a novel pharmacological target for anti-cancer drug development

N6-Methyladenosine(m6 A) modification is the most pervasive modification of human mRNA molecules. It is reversible via regulation of m6 A modification methyltransferase, demethylase and proteins that preferentially recognize m6 A modification as "writers", "erasers" and "readers", respectively. Altered expression levels of the m6 A modification key regulators substantially affect their function, leading to significant phenotype changes in the cell and organism. Recent studies have proved that the m6 A modification plays significant roles in regulation of metabolism, stem cell self-renewal, and metastasis in a variety of human cancers. In this review, we describe the potential roles of m6 A modification in human cancers and summarize their underlying molecular mechanisms. Positive Solutions for Second-Order m-Point Boundary Value Problems on Time Scales

Let T be a time scale such that 0, T ∈ T. By means of the Schauder fixed point theorem and analysis method, we establish some existence criteria for positive solutions of the m-point boundary value problem on time scales where α ∈ Ctd（（O,T,[0,∞））,f∈ Ckd（[0,∞）×[0,∞））,β,γ ∈[0,∞）,ξi ∈（0,p（T）.b,ai∈ （0,∞）（for i = 1,..., m - 2） are given constants satisfying some suitable hypotheses. We show that this problem has at least one positive solution for sufficiently small b 〉 0 and no solution for sufficiently large b. Our results are new even for the corresponding differential equation （T = R） and difference equation （T = Z）.

Review of channel models for deep space communications

This paper presents a comprehensive review of channel models for deep space *** on the characteristics of environment, deep space channels can be divided into three kinds, i.e.,near Earth link, interstellar link and near planet link. The modeling for different kinds of channels are summarized respectively, and some simulation results are provided in this paper. In addition, according to the development trend of deep space communications, optical wave will become an important carrier in the future. Therefore, deep space optical communication is also briefly introduced. Finally, challenges of deep space channel modeling are pointed out and future research direction is also discussed.

A study on large coherent structures and noise emission in a turbulent round jet

A moderate Reynolds number, and high subsonic turbulent round jet is investigated by large eddy simulation. The detailed results （e.g. mean flow properties, turbulence intensities, etc.） are validated against the experimental data, and special attention is paid to study motions of coherent structures and their contributions to far-field noise. Eulerian methods （e.g. Q-criteria and A2 criteria） are utilized for visualizing coherent structures directly for instantaneous flow fields, and Lagrangian coherent structures accounting for integral effect are shown via calculating fields of finite time Lyapunov exponents based on bidimensional velocity fields. All visualizations demonstrate that intrusion of three-dimensional vortical structures into jet core occurs intermittently at the end of the potential core, resulting from the breakdown of helical vortex rings in the shear layer. Intermittencies in the shear layer and on the centerline are studied quantitatively, and distinctively different distributions of probability density function are observed. Moreover, the physical sound sources are obtained through a filtering operation of defined sources in Lighthill＇s analogy, and their distributions verify that intrusion of vortical structures into the core region serves as important sound sources, in particular for noise at aft angles. The facts that intermittent behaviors are caused by motions of coherent structures and correlated with noise generation imply that to establish reasonable sound sources in active noise production region based on intermittent coherent structures is one of the key issues for far-field noise prediction.

A Spore-Pollen Assemblage from the Damoguaihe Formation in the Tamutsag Basin, Mongolia and Its Geological Implication

Based on the palynological data from Well Ta-19-36 and Well Ta-19-37 in the Ta＇nan Sag, and Well Ta-22-1 and Well Ta-21-1 in the Bayin Gobi Sag, a spore-pollen assemblage from the Damoguaihe Formation is named as Cicatricosisporites minutaestriatus- Aequitriradites spinulosus-Protopinus sp. assemblage in the Tamutsag Basin, Mongolia. The assemblage is characterized by abundant gymnosperm pollen and diverse fern spores, counted 46.35%–65.57% and 34.43%–52.58% in percentage respectively. Among the gymnosperm pollen, Pinuspollenites sp.（2.66%–16.94%）, Protopinus sp.（0–11.38%） and Protopicea sp.（0–10.81%） are dominant; and Alisporites sp., Cerebropollenites sp., Podocarpidites sp., and Abietineaepollenites sp. are common. Some important elements, such as Chasmatosporites sp., Callialasporites prominulus, Parvisaccites sp., Parcisporites sp., Jiaohepollis cf. annulatus, J. bellus, J. verus, Polycingulatisporites sp., Schizaeoisporites certus, Classopollis annulatus are seen. Within the fern spores, Osmundacidites wellamanii（0.85%–4.93%）, Appendicisporites sp.（0–4.45%）, Baculatisporites comaumensis（0.80%–2.87%）, Cicatricosisporites sp.（0.51%–2.66%）, C. minor（0–2.14%）, Foraminisporis asymmetricus（0–2.40%）, Aequitriradites sp.（0– 2.19%） and Cyathidites minor（0–2.13%） are dominant; and some specie of Densoisporites, Cooksonites, Impardecispora, Pilosisporites, Schizaeosprites, Fixisporites, Leptolepidites, Trilobosporites, Kuylisporites, Klukisporites, Hsuisporites, Couperisporites, Maculatisporites are seen. The angiosperm pollen are rare in the assemblage, characterized by Clavatipollenites sp.（0–0.80%） and Songipollis sp.（0–0.27%）. The geological age of the Damoguaihe Formation is assigned to Hauterivian – Barremian of Early Cretaceous according to the palynological data, due to the fact that there existed a lot of diverse spores of the family Schizaeaceae and prosperous gymnosperm saccat pollen which the corpus and sacci are differentiated completely, and the presence of

旧金山果实乳杆菌(Fructilactobacillus sanfranciscensis)作为酸面团中常见的菌种,是具有良好应用价值的酸面团乳酸菌之一,该菌种通过自身的生长代谢及其与酸面团中酵母菌间的相互作用对发酵面食的风味、营养及质构等方面产生重要影响。自1971年分离该菌株以来,其分类学地位经历多次变迁,命名从Lactobacillus sanfrancisco变更为Lactobacillus sanfranciscensis,在2020年确定为Fructilactobacillus sanfranciscensis,至今,该菌种相关的研究文献已达500余篇。目前,该菌种已列入欧洲食品安全局的可食用菌种名单和韩国的限制性使用的微生物菌种名单,但尚不在我国可食用菌种名单中。本文系统综述了旧金山果实乳杆菌目前的分类学地位及其在酸面团中的普遍性,菌种的生化特性及基因特性,并阐述了其对发酵面食的影响,探索旧金山果实乳杆菌在酸面团中的应用潜力,以期开发用于酸面团的标准化发酵剂,为传统发酵面食产业化提供理论基础。
