Esophageal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death in the world,with approximately half of the new cases occurring in China every year.^(1)Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)is the main subtype,accounting for more than 90%,and the five-year survival rate is less than 10%.Using large-scale genome analysis,many driver mutations and key pathways associated with ESCC have been ***,these genomic signatures have not improved the clinical management of EscC patients,or established effective targeted therapy.^(2)Esophageal cancer still lacks representative molecular markers.

Winter jujube(Ziziphus jujuba'Dongzao')is greatly appreciated by consumers for its excellent quality,but brand infringement frequently occurs in the ***,we first determined a total of 38 elements in 167 winter jujube samples from the main winter jujube producing areas of China by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer(ICP-MS).As a result,16 elements(Mg,K,Mn,Cu,Zn,Mo,Ba,Be,As,Se,Cd,Sb,Ce,Er,Tl,and Pb)exhibited significant differences in samples from different producing *** linear discriminant analysis(LDA)and orthogonal projection to latent structures discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA)showed better performance in identifying the origin of samples than unsupervised principal component analysis(PCA).LDA and OPLS-DA had a mean identification accuracy of 87.84 and 94.64%in the testing set,*** using the multilayer perceptron(MLP)and C5.0,the prediction accuracy of the models could reach 96.36 and 91.06%,*** on the above four chemometric methods,Cd,Tl,Mo and Se were selected as the main variables and principal markers for the origin identification of winter ***,this study demonstrates that it is practical and precise to identify the origin of winter jujube through multi-element fingerprint analysis with chemometrics,and may also provide reference for establishing the origin traceability system of other fruits.

Studies of converted S-wave data recorded on the ocean bottom seismometer(OBS)allow for the estimation of crustal S-wave velocity,from which is further derived the Vp/Vs ratio to constrain the crustal lithology and geophysical *** a precise S-wave velocity model is important for deep structural research,and inversion of converted S-waves provides a potential ***,the inversion of the converted S-wave remains a weakness because of the complexity of the seismic ray path and the inconsistent conversion *** this study,we introduced two travel time correction methods for the S-wave velocity inversion and imaged different S-wave velocity structures in accordance with the corresponding corrected S-wave phases using seismic data of profile EW6 in the northeastern South China Sea(SCS).The two inversion models show a similar trend in velocities,and the velocity difference is<0.15 km/s(mostly in the range of 0–0.1 km/s),indicating the accuracy of the two travel time correction methods and the reliability of the inversion *** to simulations of seismic ray tracing based on different models,the velocity of sediments is the primary influencing factor in ray tracing for S-wave *** the sedimentary layer has high velocities,the near offset crustal S-wave refractions cannot be *** contrast,the ray tracing of Moho S-wave reflections was not significantly impacted by the velocity of the *** two travel time correction methods have their own advantages,and the application of different approaches is based on additional *** works provide an important reference for future improvements in converted S-wave research.

Background:With increasing axial length(AL)and myopia progression,the micro-structure of the retina and choroid gradually *** study describes the longitudinal changes in retinal and choroidal thickness in school-aged children with myopia and explores the relationship between changes in choroidal thickness and myopia ***:An exploratory analysis of a randomized trial was ***(n=168,aged 7 to 12 years)with myopia from-0.75 diopter(D)to-4.00 D were enrolled in this prospective longitudinal *** refraction,AL,retinal and choroidal thicknesses were measured at baseline and at 1-and 2-year follow-ups."Rapid progression myopia"was defined as increasing in myopia>1.00 D and'"stable progression myopia"was≤1.00 D during the 2-year *** affecting the changes in choroidal thickness were analysed using linear mixed ***:AL significantly increased by 0.67±0.24 mm with a myopic shift of-1.50±0.64 D over the 2 *** overall retinal thickness increased from 251.12±15.91μm at baseline to 253.47±15.74μm at the 2-year followup(F=23.785,P<0.001).The subfoveal choroidal thickness decreased from 231.03±54.04μm at baseline to 206.53±59.71μm at the 2-year follow-up(F=73.358,P<0.001).Choroidal thinning was significantly associated with AL elongation(β=-43.579μm/mm,P=0.002)and sex(β=-17.258,P=0.001).Choroidal thickness continued to decrease in subjects with rapid progression(F=92.06,P<0.001)but not in those with steady progression(F=2.23,P=0.119).Conclusion:Significant choroidal thinning was observed and was associated with rapid progression and *** findings indicate a need to understand the role of the choroid in eye growth and myopia ***/Precis:The macular choroidal thickness of myopic children is relevant to different degrees of myopic progression in this 2-year longitudinal *** findings suggest that control of choroidal thickness might work to regulate human ocular growth.

To the Editor : Pancreatic hamartoma is an extremely rare and benign disease and accounts for less than 1% of all pancreatic tumors [1]. Pancreatic lipomatous hamartoma(PLH), a distinct variant of pancreatic hamartoma, is always easily misdiagnosed as other pancreatic tumors with lipomatous components, including pancreatic lipoma, liposarcoma, teratoma and malignant tumors with fatty degeneration. Here, we report a case of laparoscopic enucleation for the pancreatic head lipomatous hamartoma and provide new treatment strategies for surgeons who encounter similar diseases in the future.

开发新型低维材料在太赫兹电磁屏蔽与吸收领域的应用是一个极为重要的研究方向,低维材料以其独特的电学、力学与电磁响应而有望创造出更加高效的电磁屏蔽与吸收方案。二维过渡金属碳化物、氮化物与碳氮化合物MXenes在低频波段已经展示出优异的电磁屏蔽与吸收性能,尤其是MXenes兼具高电导率、低密度、高柔性等特点,有利于未来太赫兹器件便携化与系统集成化。然而,将MXenes太赫兹电磁屏蔽与吸收材料推向实际应用过程中,面临着附着稳定性、环境稳定性、不耐高温等问题,无法满足航空航天和第六代通信场景需求。此外,目前缺乏更加全面的太赫兹散射与吸收验证手段。针对上述问题,研究人员开展了广泛且深入的工作。本文回顾了近年来主流电磁屏蔽与吸收材料的主体构型与基础理论原理,并重点介绍了多种MXenes及其复合物在薄膜与多孔结构下的太赫兹电磁屏蔽与吸收特性,包括Ti3C2Tx、Mo2Ti2C3Tx、Mo2TiC2Tx、Nb4C3Tx、Nb2CTx,并展望了MXenes作为太赫兹频段中电磁屏蔽与吸收材料所面临的挑战和机遇。

Design of heat treatments is related to the key technology for development of nickel-based single crystal superalloys(Ni-SXs). Based on the full understanding of the solidification characteristics, this work applies optimization design of heat treatments for a second-generation Ni-SX. Microstructure evolution and creep properties are compared in the material under conventional/standard(Std.) and optimized(Opt.) treatments. For the Std. sample,strong dendritic segregations determine inconsistent microstructure evolution in the dendritic(D) and interdendritic region(ID), while the latter serves as weak area to have the prior microcrack initiation, damaging overall performance of the alloy. The Opt. treatment applies higher homogenization temperature, leading to overall reduced segregations, while not inducing incipient melting. A lower temperature of first-step ageing is used to lower the size ofγ'particles. These help to form the more uniform microstructure in dendritic and interdendritic region and relieve the inconsistent microstructure evolution. The balanced local strength makes ID no longer as the weak area,thus restricting microcrack initiation. Great improvement of high temperature and low stress property is obtained by this progress, leading to the pronounced increase of creep rupture life under 1100 °C/140 MPa.
