In this paper,a 13-node pyramid spline element is derived by using the tetrahedron volume coordinates and the B-net method,which achieves the second order completeness in Cartesian *** appropriate examples were employed to evaluate the performance of the proposed *** numerical results show that the spline element has much better performance compared with the isoparametric serendipity element Q20 and its degenerate pyramid element P13 especially when mesh is distorted,and it is comparable to the Lagrange element *** has been demonstrated that the spline finite element method is an efficient tool for developing high accuracy elements.

This paper proposes a higher-order shear deformation theory to predict the bending response of the laminated composite and sandwich plates with general lamination *** proposed theory a priori satisfies the continuity conditions of transverse shear stresses at ***,the number of unknown variables is independent of the number of *** first derivatives of transverse displacements have been taken out from the inplane displacement fields,so that the C 0 shape functions are only required during its finite element *** to C 0 continuity requirements,the proposed model can be conveniently extended for implementation in commercial finite element *** verify the proposed theory,the fournode C 0 quadrilateral element is employed for the interpolation of all the displacement parameters defined at each nodal point on the composite *** results show that following the proposed theory,simple C 0 finite elements could accurately predict the interlaminar stresses of laminated composite and sandwich plates directly from a constitutive equation,which has caused difficulty for the other global higher order theories.

Herein,the electromagnetic shielding performance of surface concave-convex(SC)and zig-zag micro-arrays was studied by using a simulation prediction and a three-dimensional(3D)printing custom ***,surface stripe concaveconvex(SSC)and surface cylindrical concave-convex(SCC)micro-arrays with or without zig-zag micro-arrays are designed,and their shielding performance is simulated in multi-bands(C-,X-band).The multiwalled carbon nanotubes/polydimethylsiloxane composites(MWCNT/PDMS)with different SC structures and different electrical conductivity are molded in acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer(ABS)molds which are printed by a 3D *** results show that the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness(EMI SE)of the samples can be enhanced by constructing the SC micro-arrays with zig-zag micro-arrays,and improving with the increase of conductivity and *** addition,the shielding mechanism of the SC-MWCNT/PDMS composites is investigated and discussed by an electromagnetic simulation.

Developing advanced stealth devices to cope with radar-infrared(IR)fusion detection and diverse application scenarios is increasingly demanded,which faces significant challenges due to conflicting microwave and IR cloaking mechanisms and functional integration ***,we propose a multiscale hierarchical structure design,integrating wrinkled MXene IR shielding layer and flexible Fe_(3)O_(4)@C/PDMS microwave absorption *** top wrinkled MXene layer induces the intensive diffuse reflection effect,shielding IR radiation signals while allowing microwave to pass ***,the permeable microwaves are assimilated into the bottom Fe_(3)O_(4)@C/PDMS layer via strong magneto-electric *** theoretical and experimental optimization,the assembled stealth devices realize a near-perfect stealth capability in both X-band(8–12 GHz)and long-wave infrared(8–14μm)wavelength ***,it delivers a radar cross-section reduction of−20 dB m^(2),a large apparent temperature modulation range(ΔT=70℃),and a low average IR emissivity of ***,the optimal device demonstrates exceptional curved surface conformability,self-cleaning capability(contact angle≈129°),and abrasion resistance(recovery time≈5 s).This design strategy promotes the development of multispectral stealth technology and reinforces its applicability and durability in complex and hostile environments.

A critical challenge hindering the practical application of lithium–oxygen batteries(LOBs)is the inevitable problems associated with liquid electrolytes,such as evaporation and safety *** study addresses these problems by proposing a modified polyrotaxane(mPR)-based solid polymer electrolyte(SPE)design that simultaneously mitigates solvent-related problems and improves ***-SPE exhibits high ion conductivity(2.8×10^(−3)S cm^(−1)at 25℃)through aligned ion conduction pathways and provides electrode protection ability through hydrophobic chain *** this mPR-SPE into solid-state LOBs resulted in stable potentials over 300 *** situ Raman spectroscopy reveals the presence of an LiO_(2)intermediate alongside Li_(2)O_(2)during oxygen *** situ X-ray diffraction confirm the ability of the SPE to hinder the permeation of oxygen and moisture,as demonstrated by the air permeability *** present study suggests that maintaining a low residual solvent while achieving high ionic conductivity is crucial for restricting the sub-reactions of solid-state LOBs.

Mutual regulation of microglia and astrocytes after Gas6 inhibits spinal cord injury

Invasive inflammation and excessive scar formation are the main reasons for the difficulty in repairing nervous tissue after spinal cord *** and astrocytes play key roles in the spinal cord injury micro-environment and share a close ***,the mechanisms involved remain *** this study,we found that after spinal cord injury,resting microglia(M0)were polarized into pro-inflammatory phenotypes(MG1 and MG3),while resting astrocytes were polarized into reactive and scar-forming *** expression of growth arrest-specific 6(Gas6)and its receptor Axl were significantly down-regulated in microglia and astrocytes after spinal cord *** vitro experiments showed that Gas6 had negative effects on the polarization of reactive astrocytes and pro-inflammatory microglia,and even inhibited the cross-regulation between *** further demonstrated that Gas6 can inhibit the polarization of reactive astrocytes by suppressing the activation of the Yes-associated protein signaling ***,in turn,inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia by suppressing the activation of the nuclear factor-κB/p65 and Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling *** vivo experiments showed that Gas6 inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia and reactive astrocytes in the injured spinal cord,thereby promoting tissue repair and motor function ***,Gas6 may play a role in the treatment of spinal cord *** can inhibit the inflammatory pathway of microglia and polarization of astrocytes,attenuate the interaction between microglia and astrocytes in the inflammatory microenvironment,and thereby alleviate local inflammation and reduce scar formation in the spinal cord.

Recent research has demonstrated the impact of physical activity on the prognosis of glioma patients,with evidence suggesting exercise may reduce mortality risks and aid neural *** role of the small ubiquitin-like modifier(SUMO)protein,especially post-exercise,in cancer progression,is gaining attention,as are the potential anti-cancer effects of *** used machine learning to create the exercise and SUMO-related gene signature(ESLRS).This signature shows how physical activity might help improve the outlook for low-grade glioma and other *** demonstrated the prognostic and immunotherapeutic significance of ESLRS markers,specifically highlighting how murine double minute 2(MDM2),a component of the ESLRS,can be targeted by *** underscores the intricate relationship between natural compounds such as nutlin-3 and immune *** comprehensive CRISPR screening,we validated the effects of specific ESLRS genes on low-grade glioma *** also revealed insights into the effectiveness of Nutlin-3a as a potent MDM2 inhibitor through molecular docking and dynamic ***-3a inhibited glioma cell proliferation and activated the p53 *** efficacy decreased with MDM2 overexpression,and this was reversed by Nutlin-3a or *** using a low-grade glioma mouse model highlighted the effect of physical activity on oxidative stress and molecular pathway ***,both physical exercise and Nutlin-3a administration improved physical function in mice bearing tumors derived from MDM2-overexpressing *** results suggest the potential for Nutlin-3a,an MDM2 inhibitor,with physical exercise as a therapeutic approach for glioma *** research also supports the use of natural products for therapy and sheds light on the interaction of exercise,natural products,and immune regulation in cancer treatment.

When describing the mechanical behavior of some engineering materials,such as composites,grains,biological materials and cellular solids,the Cosserat continuum theory has more powerful capabilities compared with the classical Cauchy elasticity since an additional local rotation of point and its counterpart(couple stress)are considered in the Cosserat elasticity to represent the material microscale *** this paper,a parameterized level set topology optimization method is developed based on the Cosserat elasticity for the minimum compliance problem of the Cosserat *** influence of material characteristic length and Cosserat shear modulus on the optimized structure is investigated in *** can be found that the microstructural constants in the Cosserat elasticity have a significant impact on the optimized topology *** addition,the minimum feature size and the geometric complexity of the optimized structure can be controlled implicitly by adjusting the parameters of the characteristic length and Cosserat shear modulus ***,the optimized structure obtained by the developed Cosserat elasticity based parameterized level set method will degenerate to the result by using the classical Cauchy elasticity based parameterized level set method when the Cosserat shear modulus approaches zero.

The peridynamic correspondence model provides a general formulation to incorporate the classical local model and,therefore,helps to solve mechanical problems with discontinuities *** it suffers from zero-energy mode instability in numerical implementation due to the approximation of deformation gradient *** suppress zero-energy modes,previous stabilized methods were generally more based on adding a supplemental force state derived from bond-based peridynamic theory,which requires a bond-based peridynamic *** this work,we present an improved stabilized method where the stabilization force state is derived directly from the peridynamic correspondence ***,the bond-based peridynamic micro-modulus is *** improved method needs no extra constant to control the magnitude of stabilization force state and it is suitable for either isotropic or anisotropic *** examples are presented to demonstrate its performance in simulating crack propagation,and numerical results show its efficiency and effectiveness.
