The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has caused changes in the global health system,causing significant setbacks in healthcare systems *** pandemic has also shown resilience,flexibility,and creativity in reacting to the *** severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection targets most of the respiratory tract,resulting in a severe sickness called acute respiratory distress syndrome that may be fatal in some *** the lung is the primary organ targeted by COVID-19 viruses,the clinical aspect of the disease is varied and ranges from asymptomatic to respiratory ***,due to an unorganized immune response and several affected mechanisms,the liver may also experience liver cell injury,ischemic liver dysfunction,and drug-induced liver injury,which can result in respiratory failure because of the immune system’s disordered response and other compromised processes that can end in multisystem organ *** with liver cirrhosis or those who have impaired immune systems may be more likely than other groups to experience worse results from the SARS-CoV-2 *** thus intend to examine the pathogenesis,current therapy,and consequences of liver damage concerning COVID-19.

Coarse-fine joint target parameter estimation method based on AN-RSC in OFDM passive radar

In this paper,we study the accuracy of delay-Doppler parameter estimation of targets in a passive radar using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)signal.A coarse-fine joint estimation method is proposed to achieve better estimation accuracy of target parameters without excessive computational ***,the modulation symbol domain(MSD)method is used to roughly estimate the delay and Doppler of ***,to obtain high-precision Doppler estimation,the atomic norm(AN)based on the multiple measurement vectors(MMV)model(MMV-AN)is used to manifest the signal sparsity in the continuous Doppler *** the same time,a reference signal compensation(RSC)method is presented to obtain highprecision delay *** results based on the OFDM signal show that the coarse-fine joint estimation method based on AN-RSC can obtain a more accurate estimation of target parameters compared with other *** addition,the proposed method also possesses computational advantages compared with the joint parameter estimation.

A Reliable Iteration Algorithm for One-Bit Compressive Sensing on the Unit Sphere

The one-bit compressed sensing problem is of fundamental importance in many areas,such as wireless communication,statistics,and so ***,the optimization of one-bit problem coustrained on the unit sphere lacks an algorithm with rigorous mathematical proof of convergence and *** this paper,an iteration algorithm is established based on difference-of-convex algorithm for the one-bit compressed sensing problem constrained on the unit sphere,with iterating formula■,where C is the convex cone generated by the one-bit measurements andη_(1)>η_(2)>1/*** new algorithm is proved to converge as long as the initial point is on the unit sphere and accords with the measurements,and the convergence to the global minimum point of the l_(1)norm is discussed.

The flow around a circular cylinder for Re=1000 is characterized by flow separation and Karman vortex *** typical flow features can be captured to study the correlation between fluid fields and sound *** this paper,the three-dimensional circular cylinder is taken as the research object,and the probes of surface fluctuating pressure and far field sound pressure are arranged every 10°.The directional diagram and the coherence of fluctuating pressure and sound pressure are *** relationship between the flow mode and hydrodynamic noise is studied by using dynamic mode decomposition(DMD).The characteristics of the dipole and quadrupole sound source term of a long span cylinder are *** results show that at the angles between 30°–120°and 190°–350°,the fluctuating pressure contributes more to the generation of dipole *** quadrupole sound source shows three-dimensional effects,which is more obvious in a cylinder with large spanwise length.

This paper investigates the sloshing phenomena in a spherical liquid tank using the moving particle semi-implicit(MPS)method,a crucial study in fluid *** from previous research focused on rectangular or LNG tanks,this work explores the unique motion patterns inherent to spherical *** accuracy of our in-house MPS solver MLParticle-SJTU is validated against experimental data and finite volume method(FVM).And the MPS method reveals a closer alignment with experimental outcomes,which suggests that MPS method is particularly effective for modeling complex,non-linear fluid *** the fluid’s response to excitation at its natural frequency is simulated,showcasing vigorous sloshing and rotational *** analyses of the fluid motion are conducted by drawing streamline diagrams,velocity vector diagrams,and vorticity *** fluid’s motion response is explored using both time-domain and frequency-domain curves of the fluid centroid,as well as the sloshing force.

HCSP-Net:A Novel Model of Age-Related Macular Degeneration Classification Based on Color Fundus Photography

Age-related macular degeneration(AMD)ranks third among the most common causes of *** the most conventional and direct method for identifying AMD,color fundus photography has become prominent owing to its consistency,ease of use,and good quality in extensive clinical *** this study,a convolutional neural network(CSPDarknet53)was combined with a transformer to construct a new hybrid model,*** hybrid model was employed to tri-classify color fundus photography into the normal macula(NM),dry macular degeneration(DMD),and wet macular degeneration(WMD)based on clinical classification manifestations,thus identifying and resolving AMD as early as possible with color fundus *** further enhance the performance of this model,grouped convolution was introduced in this study without significantly increasing the number of ***-Net was validated using an independent test *** average precision of HCSPNet in the diagnosis of AMD was 99.2%,the recall rate was 98.2%,the F1-Score was 98.7%,the PPV(positive predictive value)was 99.2%,and the NPV(negative predictive value)was 99.6%.Moreover,a knowledge distillation approach was also adopted to develop a lightweight student network(SCSP-Net).The experimental results revealed a noteworthy enhancement in the accuracy of SCSP-Net,rising from 94%to 97%,while remarkably reducing the parameter count to a quarter of *** attribute positions SCSP-Net as a highly suitable candidate for the deployment of resource-constrained devices,which may provide ophthalmologists with an efficient tool for diagnosing AMD.

Numerical investigation of the coupled aero-hydrodynamic performances of a semi-submersible floating offshore wind turbine with inclined columns

Numerical investigations of floating platforms with different outer column inclined angles under two operating conditions of regular wave and irregular wave are presented in this paper.A coupled aero-hydrodynamic computational fluid dynamics in-house solver FOWT-UALM-SJTU is applied for the ***,the validation for wave and wind generation are conducted to determine mesh distribution *** on these,the hydrodynamic motion response,aerodynamic performance and wake flow are analyzed to explore the impact of inclined *** spectral analysis on the motion response under wave action,discuss the aerodynamic attack angle and inflow wind velocity along the blade spanwise direction in detail,reveal different trends in wake development and *** results show that for the regular wave condition with the increase of inclined angles,the equilibrium position of surge motion is constantly rising,while pitch is *** maximum root mean square(rms)value occurs at angle=30°,compared with the original OC4 FOWT,the rms in power and thrust increase 0.35%,0.71%.And there are two low regions of attack angle and high regions of axial inflow velocity,corresponding to aerodynamic *** spectral analysis indicates that the natural frequency of pitch motion will increase with inclined ***,from the middle to far region of wake flow,the velocity recovery of FOWT with inclined angle will become faster,which is beneficial for downstream turbines to enhance more wind energy.

The photosynthesis of hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))through the selective 2e^(-)oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)from O_(2)and H_(2)O stands out as an environmentally sustainable and cost-effective method for generating this essential ***,the widespread application of most photocatalysts is impeded by their reliance on sacrificial *** this context,we present a noteworthy advancement in the form of a step-scheme(S-scheme)heterojunction involving a donor-acceptor(D-A)-conjugated polymer and manganese cadmium sulfide(BTz@MCS).This innovative configuration enables efficient photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production within a non-sacrificial system,showcasing an impressive H_(2)O_(2)yield of 5,368μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)and an apparent quantum yield of 4.5%at 420 *** insights gained from in-situ irradiated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(ISIXPS),in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transformations spectroscopy(DRIFTS),and density function calculations(DFT),it is revealed that the sp^(2)C between thiazole-thiazole rings at the BTz and the concentrated holes at the MCS function as spatially separated redox *** centers catalyze the selective 2e^(-)ORR and 4e^(-)water oxidation reaction(WOR)*** O_(2)generated from the WOR is subsequently utilized by the ORR cycle,enabling the overall photosynthesis of H_(2)O_(2)with accelerated total reaction ***,the high photocatalytic performance of the developed catalyst is attributed to well-designed S-scheme heterojunctions with tuned band *** spatially separated redox centers and effective transfer of photogenerated charge carriers facilitated by the internal electric field significantly enhance reaction *** study introduces a promising avenue for photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production without sacrificial agents,providing valuable insights into the underlying mechanisms in S-scheme heterojunctions.

Impact of nutritional support on immunity,nutrition,inflammation,and outcomes in elderly gastric cancer patients after surgery

BACKGROUND Postoperative rehabilitation of elderly patients with gastric cancer has always been the focus of clinical *** the intervention by a full-course nutritional support team can have a positive impact on the postoperative immune function,nutritional status,inflammatory response,and clinical outcomes of this special population has not yet been fully *** To evaluate the impact of full-course nutritional support on postoperative comprehensive symptoms in elderly patients with gastric *** This is a retrospective study,including 60 elderly gastric cancer patients aged 70 years and above,divided into a nutritional support group and a control *** nutritional support group received full postoperative nutritional support,including individualized meal formulation,and intravenous and parenteral nutrition supplementation,and was regularly evaluated and adjusted by a professional nutrition *** control group received routine postoperative *** After intervention,the proportion of CD4+lymphocytes(25.3%±3.1%vs 21.8%±2.9%,P<0.05)and the level of immunoglobulin G(12.5 G/L±2.3 G/L vs 10.2 G/L±1.8 G/L,P<0.01)were significantly higher in the nutritional support group than in the control group;the changes in body weight(-0.5 kg±0.8 kg vs-1.8 kg±0.9 kg,P<0.05)and body mass index(-0.2±0.3 vs-0.7±0.4,P<0.05)were less significant in the nutritional support group than in the control group;and the level of C-reactive protein(1.2 mg/L±0.4 mg/L vs 2.5 mg/L±0.6 mg/L,P<0.01)and WBC count(7.2×10^(9)/L±1.5×10^(9)/L vs 9.8×10^(9)/L±2.0×10^(9)/L,P<0.01)were significantly lower in the nutritional support group than in the control *** addition,patients in the nutritional support group had a shorter hospital stay(10.3 d±2.1 d vs 14.8 d±3.6 d,P<0.05)and lower incidence of infection(15%vs 35%,P<0.05)in those of the control *** The intervention by the nutritional support team has a positive impact on postoperative immune function,

The ocean,with its highly variable and complex meteorological conditions,harbors enormous renewable *** nanogenerators(TENGs),which possess unique advantages,show exciting prospects in water wave energy *** to design and optimize TENGs to cover all characteristic water wave energies and achieve efficient energy utilization is *** this paper,we carefully designed and fabricated a columnar multi-layer sliding TENG(CMLS-TENG)that can harvest water wave energy independent of wave height and *** rods with a hollow acrylic spherical shell were introduced to deliver wave energy,ensuring that the CMLS-TENG can work in all directions from 0°to 360°.Based on the sliding structure,switching the optimized CMLS-TENG is independent of wave *** optimized CMLS-TENG can achieve a total power density of 730 mW/m^(3) at a wave height of only 4.8 cm regardless of wave direction,which can illuminate multiple light-emitting diodes(LEDs)to provide lighting and provide power to a watch and a hygrometer for temperature and humidity *** work provides new choices and hopes for the effective collection of full-range water wave energy.
