Long-chain alkanes are abundant feedstocks supplied by natural resources and chemical industry. Specially, normal long-chain alkanes are primary products from Fischer-Tropsch synthesis(FTS) process, which is an important route for the utilization of coal in China. Facing a shift of energy nexus towards sustainable society, the conversion of long-chain alkanes derived from coal into value-added products(such as alkenes and oxygenates) is of great importance for securing China’s energy supply and the role transition of the commercial FTS plants from fuel makers to chemical suppliers. Among the potential transformation routes,the direct dehydrogenation of long-chain alkanes into alkenes is an attractive and practical route, due to the broad applications of long-chain alkenes(especially the linear α-olefins). In this review, we will summary the key insights obtained from the literature on the dehydrogenation of light alkanes based on supported metal catalysts and the dehydrogenation of alkanes with homogeneous molecular catalysts and then discuss how to translate these lessons into the development of efficient catalysts and processes for the dehydrogenation of long-chain alkanes into long-chain alkenes.

In this work,we give some criteria of the weakly compact sets and a representation theorem of Riesz's type in Musielak sequence spaces using the ideas and techniques of sequence spaces and Musielak function.Finally,as an immediate consequence of the criteria considered in this paper,the criteria of the weakly compact sets of Orlicz sequence spaces are deduced.

In radar systems,target tracking errors are mainly from motion models and nonlinear measurements.When we evaluate a tracking algorithm,its tracking accuracy is the main criterion.To improve the tracking accuracy,in this paper we formulate the tracking problem into a regression model from measurements to target states.A tracking algorithm based on a modified deep feedforward neural network(MDFNN)is then proposed.In MDFNN,a filter layer is introduced to describe the temporal sequence relationship of the input measurement sequence,and the optimal measurement sequence size is analyzed.Simulations and field experimental data of the passive radar show that the accuracy of the proposed algorithm is better than those of extended Kalman filter(EKF),unscented Kalman filter(UKF),and recurrent neural network(RNN)based tracking methods under the considered scenarios.

This paper considers multi-frequency passive radar and develops a multi-frequency joint direction of arrival(DOA)estimation algorithm to improve estimation accuracy and resolution.The developed algorithm exploits the sparsity of targets in the spatial domain.Specifically,we first extract the required frequency channel data and acquire the snapshot data through a series of preprocessing such as clutter suppression,coherent integration,beamforming,and constant false alarm rate(CFAR)detection.Then,based on the framework of sparse Bayesian learning,the target’s DOA is estimated by jointly extracting the multi-frequency data via evidence maximization.Simulation results show that the developed algorithm has better estimation accuracy and resolution than other existing multi-frequency DOA estimation algorithms,especially under the scenarios of low signalto-noise ratio(SNR)and small snapshots.Furthermore,the effectiveness is verified by the field experimental data of a multi-frequency FM-based passive radar.

K-UR,K-LUR and K-R are the generalizations of UR,LUR and R respectively,which are of great significance in Banach space theory.While in Orlicz-Lorentz function space A°φ,ω[0,γ) equipped with the Orlicz norm,the research methods of K-UR,K-LUR and K-R are much more complicated than those of UR,LUR and R.In this paper we obtain some criteria of K-UR,K-LUR and K-R ofΛ°φ,ω[0,γ) by means of the norm of dual space and Hμproperty of A°φ,ω[0,γ).

Dear editor, The radar cross section-based (RCS-based) method is an important research direction in the field of automatic target recognition (ATR) of passive radars [1–5]. Due to the unknown transmitting parameters in the passive radar, it is impossible to extract the true target RCS from the echo power. As a result of this, researchers use a biased RCS which has an unknown parameter to realize the RCS-based ATR in passive radar [1, 2].

Poor permeation of drugs and“immune-cold”tumor microenvironment in solid tumors are the two major challenges which lead to the inefficient therapeutic efficacy for cancer treatment.Here,light-activated penetrable nanoparticles(PEGVAL&DOX&ICG@RNPs)for co-delivery of the chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin(DOX),the photosensitizer agent indocyanine green(ICG),and the angiotensin II receptor blockers valsartan(VAL)were developed to achieve deep drug penetration and synergistic photo-chemo-immunotherapy of solid tumor.Studies showed that under the first-wave of laser irradiation,the polyethylene glycol(PEG)hydrophilic layer as an“inert”surface could detach from the nanoparticles,release VAL and expose the arginine-rich peptide modified-cores that can facilitate deep drug penetration via a transcytosis pathway.When exposed to the second-wave of laser irradiation,the synergistic chemo-photo-immunotherapy can be achieved.As expected,in 4T1 tumorbearing mice,PEG-VAL&DOX&ICG@RNPs treatment could effectively inhibit the growth of tumors,down-regulateα-smooth muscle actin expression level of cancer-associated fibroblasts cells in tumors,induce dendritic cells(DCs)maturation,and promote intratumoral infiltration of cytotoxic T lymphocytes.Moreover,combination therapy by PEG-VAL&DOX&ICG@RNPs and anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody can elicit memory T cell response for preventing tumor recurrence and metastasis in vivo.This work provides a promising delivery strategy to overcome the current limitations of nanomedicine for achieving more effective therapeutic index of“immune-cold”solid tumor treatment.

The effects of simultaneous operation on dissociated vertical deviation with horizontal and torsional strabismus

AIM: To investigate the therapeutic effects of simultaneous horizontal and vertical operations on dissociated vertical deviation(DVD) associated with other deviations.METHODS: Forty-five cases of DVD with horizontal and torsional strabismus underwent combined operation were collected retrospectively. All clinical records were analyzed. All patients were followed up for 6 to 24 mo. Wilcoxon signed-ranks test was performed to evaluate the changes of vertical and horizontal deviation. χ~2 test was used to evaluate the changes of binocular visual function. RESULTS: Forty-five cases included 36 patients with intermittent exotropia and binocular inferior oblique overaction(IOOA), 5 patients with concomitant esotropia and binocular IOOA, 4 patients with intermittent exotropia and monocular superior oblique palsy. The superior rectus recession(SRR) combined with horizontal rectus recession and the myectomy of inferior oblique or anterior transposition were operated simultaneously to correct all types of strabismus. There were 43 cases who achieved normal eye position in vertical direction, while 2 cases were with undercorrection of 5~Δ to 6~Δ. In patients with horizontal strabismus, 2 cases of exotropia were with overcorrection of 6~Δ to 8~Δ, 1 case of esotropia was with undercorrection of 6~Δ, and 1 case of monocular superior oblique palsy with compensatory head posture was not significantly improved. The binocular visual function of most patients recovered after operation. The difference of the binocular visual function and eye position were significant compared with that before operation(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: The simultaneous operation on DVD with horizontal and torsional strabismus is successful.

Stroke is a main cause of death and disability worldwide.The ability of the brain to selfrepair in the acute and chronic phases after stroke is minimal;however,promising stem cell-based interventions are emerging that may give substantial and possibly complete recovery of brain function after stroke.Many animal models and clinical trials have demonstrated that neural stem cells(NSCs)in the central nervous system can orchestrate neurological repair through nerve regeneration,neuron polarization,axon pruning,neurite outgrowth,repair of myelin,and remodeling of the microenvironment and brain networks.Compared with other types of stem cells,NSCs have unique advantages in cell replacement,paracrine action,inflammatory regulation and neuroprotection.Our review summarizes NSC origins,characteristics,therapeutic mechanisms and repair processes,then highlights current research findings and clinical evidence for NSC therapy.These results may be helpful to inform the direction of future stroke research and to guide clinical decision-making.
