In this study, the lubrication performance of the crank pin bearing in a marine two–stroke diesel engine is evaluated to investigate the adhesional failure on the crank pin bearing. A numerical algorithm for the lubrication analysis considering motion analysis of the crank pin system is developed. The film pressure and thickness for three clearances and three lubricant temperatures are calculated. The results show that the lubricant temperature has a higher effect on film thickness than clearance. In terms of the film parameter, the operating condition that can result in solid–solid contact is investigated. We also suggest the desirable operating conditions of clearance and lubricant temperature to prevent the solid–solid contact.

AIM: To identify prognostic factors and to correlate APC mutations with clinical features, including extracolic manifestations. METHODS: One hundred thirty-five patients who underwent surgical procedures for familial adenomatous polyposis(FAP) were included. FAP was diagnosed when the number of adenomatous polyps was > 100. Data related to patient, extracoloic manifestations, cancer characteristics, operative procedure, follow up and surveillance were collected. APC mutation testing was performed in the 30 most recent patients. DNA was extracted from peripheral blood and polymerase chain reaction products using 31 primer pairs on APC gene were sequenced. A retrospective study was performed to investigate a causal relationship between prognosis and feature of ***: The mean age of the 51 patients with colorectal cancer(CRC) was older than that of those without CRC(30.5 vs 36.9, P = 0.002). Older individuals were more likely to have colon cancer at the time of FAP diagnosis [odds ratio, 4.75(95%CI: 1.71-13.89) and 5.91(1.76-22.12) for 40-49 years and age > 50 vs age < 30). The number of confirmed deaths was 13 and the median age at death was 40 years(range, 27 to 85 years). Ten of the deaths(76.9%) were from CRC. Another cause of two cases of death were desmoid tumors(15.4%). Development of cancer on remnant rectal or ileal mucosa after surgery was not observed. The APC mutation testing revealed 23 pathogenic mutations and one likely pathogenic mutation, among which were four novel mutations. The correlation between mutational status and clinical manifestations was investigated. Mutations that could prodict poor prognosis were at codon 1309 which located on mutation cluster region, codon 1465 and codon ***: Identification of APC mutations should aid in the diagnosis and counseling of family members in terms of early diagnosis and management of FAP.

Carbon super-heterostructures with high nitrogen contents from the covalent hybrid precursors of covalent triazine frameworks(CTFs)and zeolitic imidazolic frameworks(ZIFs)are scarcely explored because of CTF's ordered structure and toxic superacid that dissolves or destabilizes the metal *** solve this problem,herein,we report a straightforward two-step pathway for the covalent hybridization of disordered CTF(d–CTF)–ZIF composites via preincorporation of an imidazole(IM)linker into ordered CTFs,followed by the imidazole-site-specific covalent growth of *** carbonization of these synthesized d–CTF−IM−ZIF hybrids results in unique hollow carbon super-heterostructures with ultrahigh nitrogen content(>18.6%),high specific surface area(1663m^(2)g^(−1)),and beneficial trace metal(Co/Zn NPs)contents for promoting the redox *** proof of concept,the obtained carbon super-heterostructure(Co–Zn–NC_(SNH)–800)is used as a positive electrode in an asymmetric supercapacitor,demonstrating a remarkable energy density of 61Wh kg^(−1)and extraordinary cyclic stability of 97%retention after 30,000 cycles at the cell *** presynthetic modifications of CTF and their covalent hybridization with ZIF crystals pave the way toward new design strategies for synthesizing functional porous carbon materials for promising energy applications.

For the global commercialization of highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cells(PSCs),it is necessary to effectively suppress the formation of various defects acting as nonradiative recombination sources in perovskite light-harvesting *** defects between the charge-selective layer and the perovskite are easily formed in the solution process used to fabricate perovskite *** addition,owing to the difference in thermal expansion coefficients between the substrate and the perovskite film,internal residual tensile stress inevitably occurs,resulting in increased nonradiative ***,a simple compositional engineering scheme for realizing efficient and stable PSCs,which incorporates acetamidinium bromide(AABr)as an additive into the MAPbI_(3) lattice,is *** an additive,AABr has been found to provide synergistic multiple passivation for both internal and interfacial *** was found to effectively release the tensile strain of the MAPbI_(3) film by forming a structure stabilized by NH-I hydrogen bonds,as evidenced by calculations based on density functional theory(DFT).Furthermore,the incorporated AABr additives created a charge carrier recombination barrier to enhance charge collection capability by reducing interfacial ***,a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 20.18%was achieved using a planar device employing AABr-incorporated MAPbI_(3).This was substantially higher than the 18.32% PCE of a pristine MAPbI_(3)-based ***,unencapsulated PSCs using AABr-incorporated MAPbI_(3) absorbers exhibited excellent long-term stability,maintaining>95% of initial PCE up to 1200 hours in ambient air.

A study was undertaken for the prediction of runoff flow from 0.8 ha field-sized agricultural watershed in South Korea using Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) sub-daily. The SWAT model with sub-daily configuration predicted flow from the watershed within the range of acceptable accuracy. The SWAT sub-daily simulations were carried out for a total of 18 rainfall events, 9 each for calibration and validation. Overall trend and extent of matching simulated flow for the rainfall events in 2007–2008 with measured data during the calibration process were coefficient of determination (R2) value of 0.88 and Nash and Sutcliffe Efficiency (ENS) value of 0.88. For validation, R2 and ENS values were 0.9 and 0.84, respectively. Whereas R2 and ENS values for simulation results using daily rainfall data were 0.79 and ?0.01, respectively, that were observed to be out of acceptable limits for the model simulation. The importance of higher time resolution (hourly) precipitation records for flow simulation were evaluated by comparing R2 and ENS with 15 min, 2 h, 6 h and 12 h precipitation data, which resulted in lower statistics with increases in time resolution of precipitation data. The SWAT sub-daily sensitivity analysis was performed with the consideration of hydraulic parameter and was found as in the rank order of CN2 (curve number), ESCO (soil evaporation compensation factor), GW_DELAY (ground water delay time), ALPHA_BF (base flow alpha factor), GWQMN (a threshold minimum depth of water in the shallow aquifer required for return flow to occur), REVAPMN (minimum depth of water in shallow aquifer for re-evaporation to occur), LAT_TIME (lateral flow travel time) respectively. Acceleration histories of each measurement location under normal traffic are recorded for 30 minutes at *** recor- ded histories are divided into individual vibrations and are combined into two groups aceording to the level of vibration;one by heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses and the other by light vehicles such as passenger *** processing of the two groups of signals shows that,for the middle and long-span bridges,the difference can be hardly detected,but,for the short span bridges whose mass is relatively small,the measured natural frequencies can change up to 5.4%.
