A novel joint diagonalization （DOA） matrix method is proposed to estimate the two-dimensional （2-D） DOAs of uncorrelated narrowband signals. The method constructs three subarrays by exploiting the special structure of the array, thereby obtaining the 2-D DOAs of the array based on joint diagonalization directly with neither peak search nor pair matching. The new method can handle sources with common 1-D angles. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the method.

Multicellular spheroids have served as a promising preclinical model for drug efficacy testing and disease *** microfluidic tech no logies,in eluding those based on water-oil-water double emulsions,have been introduced for the production of ***,sustained culture and the in situ characterization of the gen erated spheroids are currently unavailable for the double emulsion-based spheroid *** study presents a streamlined workflow,termed the double emulsion-pretreated microwell culture(DEPMiC),incorporating the features of(1)effective initiation of uniform-sized multicellular spheroids by the pretreatment of double emulsions produced by microfluidics without the requirement of biomaterial scaffolds;(2)sustained maintenance and culture of the produced spheroids with facile removal of the oil confinement;and(3)in situ characterization of individual spheroids localized in microwells by a built-in analytical *** by microscopic observations and Raman spectroscopy,the DEPMiC cultivated spheroids accumulated elevated lipid ordering on the apical membran巳similar to that observed in their Matrigel *** possible by the proposed tech no logical advancement,this study subsequently examined the drug responses of these in vitro-generated multicellular *** developed DEPMiC platform is expected to gen erate health benefits in personalized cancer treatment by offering a pre-animal tool to dissect heterogeneity from individual tumor spheroids.

We use the redshift Hubble parameter H（z） data derived from relative galaxy ages, distant type Ia supernovae （SNe Ia）, the Baryonic Acoustic Oscillation （BAO） peak, and the Cosmic Microwave Background （CMB） shift parameter data, to constrain cosmological parameters in the Undulant Universe. We marginalize the like- lihood functions over h by integrating the probability density 19 ∝ e-x^2/2. By using a Markov Chain Monte Carlo （MCMC） technique, we obtain the best fitting results and give the confidence regions in the b - Ωm0 plane. Then we compare their constraints. Our results show that the H（z） data play a similar role with the SNe Ia data in cosmological study. By presenting the independent and joint constraints, we find that the BAO and CMB data play very important roles in breaking the degeneracy compared with the H（z） and SNe Ia data alone. Combined with the BAO or CMB data, one can remarkably improve the constraints. The SNe Ia data sets constrain Ωm0 much tighter than the H（z） data sets, but the H（z） data sets constrain b much tighter than the SNe Ia data sets. All these results show that the Undulant Universe approaches the ACDM model. We expect more H（z） data to constrain cosmological parameters in the future.

Bandwidth-variable optical networks can not only provide bandwidth-flexible lightpaths, but also complete high capacity all-optical switching, and improve the spectrum efficiency. However, for the spectrum assignment in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing （OFDM）-based bandwidth-variable optical networks, a lot of sub-carrier resources will be overlapped during the process of reservation with distributed signaling, whether for the first fit （FF） algorithm or for the random fit （RF） algorithm, In order to solve the issue of resource reservation collision, we propose two path computation element （PCE）-based spectrum assignment algorithms and two corresponding optimization algorithms. But, even for PCE-based spectrum assignment, a lot of fragments of sub-carrier resources will be generated during the process of resource reservation, and service LSP establishment and teardown, which will deteriorate the performance of the entire network seriously. This paper proposes a PCE-based defragmentation algorithm for sub-carriers spectrum resource in OFDM-based bandwidth-variable optical networks, the simulation results of which show that this algorithm can reduce sub-carriers fragments considerably and improve the continuity of spectrum resource.

Outlier Detection for Water Supply Data Based on Joint Auto-Encoder

With the development of science and technology,the status of the water environment has received more and more *** this paper,we propose a deep learning model,named a Joint Auto-Encoder network,to solve the problem of outlier detection in water supply *** Joint Auto-Encoder network first expands the size of training data and extracts the useful features from the input data,and then reconstructs the input data effectively into an *** outliers are detected based on the network’s reconstruction errors,with a larger reconstruction error indicating a higher rate to be an *** water supply data,there are mainly two types of outliers:outliers with large values and those with values closed to *** set two separate thresholds,and,for the reconstruction errors to detect the two types of outliers *** data samples with reconstruction errors exceeding the thresholds are voted to be *** two thresholds can be calculated by the classification confusion matrix and the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)*** have also performed comparisons between the Joint Auto-Encoder and the vanilla Auto-Encoder in this paper on both the synthesis data set and the MNIST data *** a result,our model has proved to outperform the vanilla Auto-Encoder and some other outlier detection approaches with the recall rate of 98.94 percent in water supply data.

In order to quantify the effect of matrix shrinkage on reservoir permeability during coalbed methane production, coal samples from Huozhou, Changzhi and Jincheng areas in Shanxi province （classified as high-volatile bituminous coal, low-volatile bituminous coal and anthracite, respectively） were collected, and adsorption-induced coal swelling in methane were determined by an optical method at 40 ℃ and pressure up to 12 MPa. All three coals showed similar behavior-that swelling increased as a function of pressure up to about 10 MPa but thereafter no further increase in swelling was observed. Swelling in the direction perpendicular to the bedding plane is greater than that parallel to the bedding plane, and the differences are about 7.77-8.33%. The maximum volumetric swelling ranges from 2.73% to 3.21 %-increasing with increasing coal rank. The swelling data can be described by a modified DR model. In addition, swelling increases with the amount of adsorption. However, the increase shows a relatively slower stage followed by a relatively faster stage instead of a linear increase. Based on the assumption that sorption-induced swelling/shrinkage of coal in methane is reversible, the permeability increases induced by coal shrinkage during methane desorption was analyzed, and the results indicate that the permeability change is larger for higher rank coal in the same unit of pressure depletion.
