This article examines Islamic boarding schools(pesantren)as traditional Indonesian Islamic educational institutions,showing a new face as agents in nature conserva-tion,especially forest conservation and considering Indonesia as a country with the best tropical forest land in the world and pesantren as indigenous Islamic educa-tional institutions owned by *** study finds pesantren as the landscape of a forest conservation movement started by the Al-Ittifaq pesantren and the Ecope-santren *** focusing on the eco-centric paradigm where Islamic teach-ings teach the concept of forest conservation,this concept is rarely taught in tra-ditional Islamic educational institutions such as *** results found that the eco-pesantren model was created by integrating religious education and ecolog-ical conceptions of dialectical qauliyah and kauniyah verses through the involve-ment of community ***'s leadership behaviour is a key factor where all three(meditation,mediation,and reflection)are formed based on the two powers of authority in Weber's tripartite(legal-formal and transformational).This study con-tributes that Islamic education is a religious institution that teaches forest conser-vation movements through an eco-pesantren *** research contributes that pesantren can synergise religion and forest conservation movements through the eco-pesantrenformat.

Testing Performance of Low Voltage Arresters

Due to important consideration of protection against lightning surge on electrical, electronic and telecommunication equipment, it was necessary to carry out a special study to look at the performance of protective devices. The study was testing performance of arresters on low voltage system. The activity was testing of arresters using steady state and impulse voltages. The arresters consisted of gas tube, zener diode, varistor and spark gap arresters, then it was made a cascade circuit between the varistor and spark gap arresters with a decoupling element. The decoupling elements were used air, iron and ferrite. The test yielded data of current and voltage on the tables and oscilloscope waveforms. The arresters had cut voltages early different from each other, namely the gas tube, zener diode, spark gap and varistor arresters were at the voltages of 500 V, 250 V, 1,000 V and 565 V respectively. The iron core decoupling element cascade circuit had the least oscillation among remaining cores.

Thermocline Thickness Evaluation on Stratified Thermal Energy Storage Tank of Co-generated District Cooling Plant

Temperature distribution of water inside of thermal storage tank reflects the condition of cooling energy stored in the tank. It can be used to define important parameters required for evaluation the performance of thermal storage tank. In this study, the thermocline thickness was evaluated for two cases of charging cycles： case Ⅰ at 393 m^3 / hr and case Ⅰ at 524 m^3 / hr. Hourly data were used for the study. Curve fitting approach was used to plot the temperature distribution profiles. Results obtained revealed that the fitting function enabled quantification of thermocline thickness of the thermal storage tank. The parameters that were determined are average cool-warm water temperatures and cool water depth in the tank. The approach offer an advantage to determine the thermocline thickness based on functionally relationship of temperature distribution profile. Results obtained shown that thermocline thickness increases at the higher flow rate. This was due to increased mixing of cool and warm water. It was also noted that thicker thermocline occurred in the region nearby the inlet diffuser. The findings indicate that the operating thermal energy storage as performing as a stratified tank.

Understanding the relation between spatial heterogeneity and structural rejuvenation is one of the hottest topics in the field of metallic glasses(MGs).In this work,molecular dynamics(MD)simulation is implemented to discover the effects of initial spatial heterogeneity on the level of rejuvenation in the Ni_(80)P_(20)*** this purpose,the samples are prepared with cooling rates of 10^(10) K/s-10^(12) K/s to make glassy alloys with different atomic ***,it is found that the increase in the cooling rate leads the Gaussian-type shear modulus distribution to widen,indicating the aggregations in both elastically soft and hard *** the primary evaluations,the elastostatic loading is also used to transform structural rejuvenation into the atomic *** results indicate that the sample with intermediate structural heterogeneity prepared with 10^(11) K/s exhibits the maximum structural rejuvenation which is due to the fact that the atomic configuration in an intermediate structure contains more potential sites for generating the maximum atomic rearrangement and loosely packed regions under an external *** features of atomic rearrangement and structural changes under the rejuvenation process are discussed in detail.

Lobster Fishery Connectivity and Management In Indonesia Waters

The distribution of lobsters in Indonesian waters is very wide,even lobster species in Indonesia are also scattered in the tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean,the Indian Ocean,Africa to Japanese *** waters are divided into 11(eleven)Fishery Management Zone(FMZ).Lobsters in Indonesia may come from various water areas,both national and regional water zones,and they’re called the sink *** spread is influenced by the movement of the *** seed is nurtured by nature through ocean currents from Australia,East Indonesia,Japan,then back to *** have a complex life cycle,where adult lobsters inhabit coral reefs as a place to lay eggs,then hatch into planktonic larvae,and grow up in open seas and carry out diurnal and ontogenetic vertical migrations before returning to nurseries in shallow coastal areas and reefs,coral,as well as habitat by the type of *** research had used at least two methodologies to estimate the distribution and connection sensitivity matrices of marine organism *** two most common approaches are using genetic markers and numerical biophysical ***,this research uses molecular genetic techniques to explain the genetic structure of lobster populations using a biophysical model approach that can explain the genetic structure of lobsters,as well as the distribution based on regional oceanographic synthesis data and lobster biology known in Indonesian *** model has four components,namely:1)a benthic module based on a Geographical Information System(GIS)which is a lobster habitat in the spawning and recruitment process,2)a physical oceanography module containing daily velocity in the form of a three-dimensional hydrodynamic model,3)a larva biology module that describes larval life history characteristics,and 4)a Lagrangian Stochastic module that tracks the individual trajectories of larvae.

Integrated Coastal Management Dynamic Models:A Case Study of Development Seaweed Cultivation in the Waters Luwu and Palopo Regency Bone Bay,South Sulawesi

Waters carrying capacity in seaweed of Eucheuma cottonii cultures should be a concern for optimum seaweed *** capacity can determine by Ecological Footprint(EF)analysis,which in this research use footprint production,and mas balance nitrate *** research on Mei 2015(1st transitional season)and September 2015(2nd transitional season)in Luwu and Palopo,South *** and land use analyzed with geographic information systems(GIS).The results showed that the Ecological Footprint production(EFP)in Luwu waters is 67,88 ton/capita/year,or equivalent to 235.823,93 tons/*** on the analysis of the availability of water for seaweed is 38.374,69 hectares,it can produce seaweed(biocapacity)for 922.928,96 tons/year and the number of farmers that allows for use the waters is 13.595 *** Ecological Footprint production(EFp)in Palopo waters is 3,08 ton/capita/year,or equivalent to 4.589,99 tons/*** availability analysis is 979,82 hectares are able to produce seaweed(biocapacity)for10.115,34 ton/year and the number of farmers that allows for use the waters is 3.276 *** on the four scenario simulation management results of the development seaweed cultivation Eucheuma cottonii in Luwu and Luwu Regency is based on the present waste input,pressing inputs of waste into the waters of 10%,25%and 50%yield different waters *** results comparison between biocapacity and Ecological Footprint,ecological status for Luwu and Palopo waters are still in sustainable *** on those simulation results showed that in second scenario by pressing the waste input by 10%from the existing waste input,as well as assuming the availability of water utilizing the entire area of 38.374,69 hectares continuously(on the years scale of 2008-2030),it will produce the highest biocapacity waters in the amount of 8.257.274,94 tons/*** with the management of seaweed in Palopo with second scenario,assuming the availability of water utilizing the ent

Coastal vulnerability is a condition of a coastal community or society that leads to or causes an inability to face the threat of *** level of vulnerability can be viewed from the physical(infrastructure),social,demographic,and economic *** vulnerability(infrastructure)describes a physical condition(infrastructure)that is prone to certain hazard *** coastal vulnerability areas can also be interpreted as a condition where there is an increase in the process of damage in the coastal area which is caused by various factors such as human activities and factors from the *** research aims to determine the level of coastal vulnerability in Indramayu coastal Regency with a Coastal Vulnerability Assessment(CVA)analysis approach and a Geographic Information System(GIS).Mapping the status of the vulnerability level of the Indramayu coastal area using the CVA method where the index range generated from the calculation of the four physical parameters mentioned above is between 2.887-3.651 or are in moderate vulnerability.A higher vulnerability value is found in several locations such as Juntikedokan and Benda *** is necessary to develop coastal protection in this area to prevent damage to the coastal area.

The Impact Of Oil Spill To The Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon(Tph)Concentration In Fishes At North Coastal Of Karawang Regency,West Java Province

The coastal area is one of the areas that is quite vulnerable to the threat of pollution caused by human activities,including pollution caused by oil spills(hydrocarbons)in the *** incident can be caused by several factors including the explosion,leakage of petroleum pipelines on the seabed,leakage of tanks or petroleum tankers at sea and disposal of waste petroleum products into the *** spills continuously can cause environmental contamination and pollution both aquatic and *** the petroleum hydrocarbons enter sea waters,some of them will be absorbed by aquatic organisms because the nature of the petroleum hydrocarbons is difficult to decompose in *** intentional and unintentional entry of hazardous and toxic substances into marine ecosystems such as petroleum hydrocarbons and chemical solvents resulting from industrial wastes has become a serious problem for human health and the *** purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon(TPH)contained in fish in coastal waters of Karawang Regency,West Java *** research was conducted in September-November 2019 by taking several fish samples at Ciparage Jaya Fish Auction Place,Betok Mati and Sungai Buntu Rive with a total sample of 24 fish,and taking seawater samples in the three study *** analysis was carried out at the Integrated Chemistry Laboratory,Bogor Agricultural *** values in fish at Ciparage-1,Ciparage-2,Betok Mati and Sungai Buntu stations,in general,have different mean values but are almost uniform,each at 6.82;6.82;7.45 and 5.12 mg/*** on the average TPH concentration in fish,it can be said that the average TPH in fish at Betok Mati station is relatively higher compared to other *** values in all fish samples exceed the safe threshold,which is a maximum of 0.002 mg/*** on the results of the Bioaccumulation factor(BAF)analysis showed that the average TPH in fish was 6.55 mg/kg and t
