The purpose of this study was 1) to determine the prevalence of functional bowel and anorectal disorders as defined by the Rome Ⅱ criteria in patients with advanced pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and urinary incontinence (UI), and (2) to determine if the extent of prolapse on gynecologic examination is related to the subtypes of constipation or any functional anorectal pain disorder. Study design: Three hundred and two consecutive female subjects presenting to a tertiary urogynecology clinic were enrolled. demographic, general m.d.cal, and physical examination information, including POPQ measurements and a standardized sacral neurologic evaluation, were collected. The prevalence of functional disorders of the bowel, rectum, and anus as defined by the Rome Ⅱ criteria were collected using the Rome Ⅱ m.d.lar questionnaire. Relationships of functional disorders to various components of the vaginal examination were reviewed. Results: Thirty six percent (108/302) met the criteria for constipation, including the following subtypes: 19% outlet constipation, 5% functional constipation, 5% constipation predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and 7% IBS outlet. Nineteen percent (56/302) of subjects had IBS or 1 of its subtypes. Functional diarrhea was seen in 6% (17/302), fecal incontinence in 19% (58/302), and anorectal pain disorders in 25% (77/302). After controlling for age, parity, diabetes, constipating m.d.cations, and previous pelvic surgery, there were no differences in the prevalence of constipation or any of its subtypes between patients with UI and those with stage 3 or 4 POP. Fecal incontinence was independently associated with UI (adjusted odds ratio[OR] 6.3; 95% CI 2.6- 19.1), but not advanced POP. Neither overall stage of POP nor stage of posterior vaginal prolapse was significantly associated with any of the functional bowel disorders, including constipation and its subtypes. The purpose of this study was to determine factors that are associated with recurrent prolapse. Of 389 women who underwent vaginal prolapse and incontinence between June 1996 and may 1999, 176 women had 1-year followup evaluations. Recurrent prolapse was analyzed by both pelvic organ prolapse quantification stage and centimeter measurements that were relative to the hymen. Logistic regression was used to determine odds ratios and 95%CI for factors that were associated with recurrent prolapse. One year after surgery, 102 women (58%) had recurrent prolapse (≥stage II). Seventeen women (10%) had prolapse ≥1 cm beyond the hymen. Age dds ratio, 3.2; 95%CI, 1.6-6.4; P =. 001) and preoperative pelvic organ prolapse quantification stage III or IV (odds ratio, 2.7; 95%CI, 1.3-5.3; P =. 005) were associated with a greater likelihood of recurrent prolapse (≥stage II) at 1 year. Younger women and women with more advanced prolapse are more likely to experience recurrent prolapse after vaginal repair.

Numerical calculation of Z-scan measurements for nonlinear m.d.a with large phase shift

We have reported the characteristics of a Z-scan for the poly(azaneylylidene-acylene)(dAZA) polymer, as nonlinear m.d.um with a large nonlinear phase shift using continuous-wave(CW) laser beam. It has been verified that the Fresnel diffraction m.d.l is applicable for analyses of Z-scan measurements with dAZA polymer at high laser power. It was found that Z-scan curves with peak-to-valley features appear as the applied light intensity increases in the case of a large nonlinear phase shift. The Z-scan experiments were carried out using a CW laser to verify the theoretical calculations in the case of a large nonlinear phase shift m.d.l. Our results show good agreements between the experimental data and the proposed theoretical m.d.ls.

Spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in me mory and high frequency *** the improvement of these m.d.rn devices,the magnetic coercivity,permeability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the important *** article focuses on improving the magnetic coercivity,magnetic permeability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(XRd),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm),energy dispersive X-ray(EdX),vibrating sample magnetometer(VSm),and an impedance analyzer were used to characterize the structural,magnetic,and dielectric properties of the *** XRd patterns indicate the formation of spinel cubic structure of the samples with a secondary peak(EuFeO_(3))for Eu doped *** densities and porosities of the samples follow an inverse trend,where the doped samples’lattice parameters are increased with the increment of rare earth Eu *** FTIR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FESEm images,and it is increased from 121 to 198 *** analysis confirms that doping of the Eu content also changes other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the Eu doped samples is greater than that of the mother alloy(x=0.00).The EdX study shows that there is no impurity contamination in the *** permeability and dielectric measurements show an improved quality factor of the Eu-doped samples with low magnetic and dielectric *** dependent resistivity and impedance analysis also show the improved *** the observed properties of the samples,all the investigated ferrites might be strong candidates for potential applications in memory devices,magnetic sensors,and high frequency applications.

This paper theoretically studies the impurity states and the effects of impurity concentration and configuration on the optical,electrical,and statistical properties of CdSe nanoplatelets(NPLs).An image charge-based m.d.l of electron-impurity interaction is *** charge-carrier energy spectra and corresponding wave functions depending on the impurity number and configuration are *** electron binding energies are calculated for different NPL *** is shown that the image charge-based interaction potential that arises due to the dielectric constants mismatch is much stronger than the interaction potential that does not take such a mismatch into ***,it is demonstrated that the binding energies are increasing with the number of *** calculate the canonical partition function using the energy levels of the electron,which in turn is used to obtain the mean energy,heat capacity,and entropy of the non-interacting electron *** therm.d.namic properties of the non-interacting electron gas that depend on the geometric parameters of the NPL,impurity number,configuration,and temperature are studied.

multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning(mARL)has proven to be successful in cooperative *** is used to investigate how autonomous agents with the same interests can connect and act in one *** cooperation scenarios are explored in recreational cooperative augmented reality environments,as well as realworld scenarios in *** this paper,we explore the realm of mARL and its potential applications in cooperative *** focus is on developing a multi-agent system that can collaborate to attack or defend against enemies and achieve victory withminimal *** accomplish this,we utilize the StarCraftmulti-Agent Challenge(SmAC)environment and train four mARL algorithms:Q-learning with mixtures of Experts(QmIX),Value-decompositionNetwork(VdN),multi-agent Proximal PolicyOptimizer(mAPPO),andmulti-Agent Actor Attention Critic(mAA2C).These algorithms allow multiple agents to cooperate in a specific scenario to achieve the targeted *** results show that the QmIX algorithm outperforms the other three algorithms in the attacking scenario,while the VdN algorithm achieves the best results in the defending ***,the VdNalgorithmreaches the highest value of battle wonmean and the lowest value of dead *** research demonstrates the potential formARL algorithms to be used in real-world applications,such as controllingmultiple robots to provide helpful services or coordinating teams of agents to accomplish tasks that would be impossible for a human to *** SmAC environment provides a unique opportunity to test and evaluate mARL algorithms in a challenging and dynamic environment,and our results show that these algorithms can be used to achieve victory with minimal damage.
