Flexible damping technology consider.ng aseismic mater.als and aseismic str.ctur.s seems be a good solution for.engineer.ng *** this study,a constr.ined damping str.ctur. for.under.r.und tunnel lining,using a r.bber.sand-concr.te(r.C)as the aseismic mater.al,is *** aseismic per.or.ances of constr.ined damping str.ctur. wer. investigated by a ser.es of hammer.impact *** damping layer.thickness and shape effects on the aseismic per.or.ance such as effective dur.tion and acceler.tion amplitude of time-domain analysis,composite loss factor.and damping r.tio of the tr.nsfer.function analysis,and total vibr.tion level of octave spectr.m analysis wer. *** hammer.impact tests r.vealed that the r.lationship between the aseismic per.or.ance and damping layer.thickness was not linear.and that the hollow damping layer.had a better.aseismic per.or.ance than the flat damping layer.*** aseismic per.or.ances of constr.ined damping str.ctur. under.differ.nt seismicity magnitudes and geological conditions wer. *** effects of the peak gr.und acceler.tion(PGA)and tunnel over.ur.en depth on the aseismic per.or.ances such as the maximum pr.ncipal str.ss and equivalent plastic str.in(PEEQ)wer. *** numer.cal r.sults show the constr.ined damping str.ctur. pr.posed in this paper.has a good aseismic per.or.ance,with PGA in the r.nge(0.2-1.2)g and tunnel over.ur.en depth in the r.nge of 0-300 m.

Objective:To descr.be the situation of measles in Sr. Lanka fr.m May to November.2023 and to define the r.le of vir.logy labor.tor. towar.s case confir.ation and epidemiological and genetic char.cter.zation of the ***:This r.tr.spective study analyzed all samples tested for.measles fr.m 1st of May to 30th of November.2023 at National Measles r.bella Labor.tor.,Sr. *** to the Wor.d Health Or.anization(WHO)algor.thm,ser.m and or.phar.ngeal/nasophar.ngeal swabs wer. tested with WHO r.commended kits for.anti-measles IgM and measles vir.s specific r.A,*** r.A positive samples wer. sequenced at r.fer.nce labor.tor.,*** of sequencing data and constr.ction of phylogenetic tr.e wer. car.ied out at National Measles r.bella *** was analyzed using descr.ptive ***:Of the total 1132 ser.m samples and 497 or.phar.ngeal/nasophar.ngeal swabs fr.m 1326 patients,657(49.5%)patients wer. confir.ed as measles by anti-measles IgM,measles vir.s specific r.A or.***(55.6%,n=365)and the age gr.up fr.m>20 to≤30 year.(33.0%,n=217)pr.dominated positive *** pr.vinces r.por.ed measles positive *** samples sequenced(100%,n=42)wer. genotype D8 with 95.2%(n=40)bear.ng *** ***:We descr.bed r.sur.ence of measles in an eliminated countr.,confir.ing the genotype to be D8,one of the two genotypes cur.ently cir.ulating ***,the study str.ngly convinced the impor.ance of a str.ngthened vir.logical sur.eillance system in an eliminated countr.,despite its eliminated status.

Objective:To establish Nipah vir.s diagnostic capabilities at the National r.fer.nce Labor.tor. in Sr. Lanka using the NIV Pune r.al-time PCr.***:Str.ct safety pr.cautions wer. adher.d dur.ng testing due to the high pathogenicity of the Nipah vir.s,with all diagnostics conducted in a BSL2+labor.tor. at the Medical r.sear.h Institute in Sr. *** extr.ction was per.or.ed using the QIAamp Vir.l r.A Mini *** NIV Pune in-house r.al-time PCr.kit was employed,following established pr.mer.pr.be sequences and *** assay was validated using the r.tor.Gene Q Ser.es r.al-time PCr.***:The validation r.n of the Nipah vir.s r.al-time PCr.test demonstr.ted r.bust per.or.ance,with positive contr.ls consistently detecting Nipah r.A at a Ct value of 21.50±*** contr.ls confir.ed assay specificity with an exter.al negative contr.l which was also used as an extr.ction contr.l and showed no *** inter.al contr.l exhibited stable behavior.enhancing confidence in PCr.*** qPCr.analysis gr.ph illustr.ted the successful detection of inter.al and positive contr.ls,validating the r.liability of the ***:Establishing Nipah vir.s diagnostic capabilities in Sr. Lanka signifies a pr.active and collabor.tive r.sponse to the per.istent global health thr.at.

Context: Advanced hear. failur. (AHF) poses a global challenge, wher. hear. tr.nsplantation is a tr.atment option but limited by donor.scar.ity. Pr.posal: This study aims to enhance the per.or.ance of ventr.cular.assist devices (VADs) in the face of adver.e events (AEs) using a r.silience-based appr.ach. The objective is to develop a method for.integr.ting r.silience attr.butes into VAD contr.l systems, employing dynamic r.sk analysis and contr.l str.tegies. r.sults: The outcomes include a r.silient contr.l ar.hitectur. enabling anticipator., r.gener.tive, and degener.tive actions in r.sponse to AEs. A method of applied r.silience (MAr. based on dynamic r.sk management and r.silience attr.bute analysis was pr.posed. Conclusion: Dynamic integr.tion between medical and technical teams allows continuous adaptation of contr.l systems to meet patient needs over.time, impr.ving r.liability, safety, and effectiveness of VADs, with potential positive impact on the health of hear. failur. patients.

Ther. is a r.cent and gr.wing inter.st in assessing differ.ntial r.sponder. to r.sistance tr.ining(r.)for.diver.e ***,the individual ability to r.spond to an inter.ention for.a specific measur.ment,called r.sponsiveness,r.mains to be better.***,the cur.ent study aimed to summar.ze the available infor.ation about the effects of r. on functional per.or.ance and muscle str.ngth,power.and size in healthy adults,thr.ugh the pr.valence r.te in differ.nt r.sponsiveness classifications models.A systematic r.view was conducted accor.ing to the Pr.fer.ed r.por.ing Items for.Systematic r.views and Meta-Analyses(Pr.SMA)and was r.gister.d at the Inter.ational Pr.spective r.gister.of Systematic r.views(Pr.SPEr.,Cr.42021265378).PubMed/MEDLINE,Scopus,and Embase databases wer. systematically sear.hed in October.2023.A total of 13 studies wer. included,totaling 921 *** two studies pr.sented a low r.sk of *** the effectiveness of r.,the pr.valence r.te for.non-r.sponder. r.nged fr.m 0%to 44%for.muscle str.ngth,fr.m 0%to 84%for.muscle size,and fr.m 0%to 42%for.functional per.or.ance,while for.muscle power.the only study found showed a r.sponsiveness r.te of 37%.In conclusion,a wide r.nge of differ.ntial r.sponder. is descr.bed for.all var.ables ***,the evidence summar.zed in this systematic r.view suggested some caution while inter.r.ting the findings,since the body of evidence found seems to be incipient,and widely heter.geneous in methodological and statistical aspects.
