We propose a new high order accurate nodal discontinuous Galerkin(DG)method for the solution of nonlinear hyperbolic systems of partial differential equations(PDE)on unstructured polygonal Voronoi *** than using classical polynomials of degree n inside each element,in our new approach the discrete solution is represented by piecewise continuous polynomials of degree n within each Voronoi element,using a continuous finite element basis defined on a subgrid inside each *** call the resulting subgrid basis an agglomerated finite element(AFE)basis for the DG method on general polygons,since it is obtained by the agglomeration of the finite element basis functions associated with the subgrid *** basis functions on each sub-triangle are defined,as usual,on a universal reference element,hence allowing to compute universal mass,flux and stiffness matrices for the subgrid triangles once and for all in a pre-processing stage for the reference element ***,the construction of an efficient quadrature-free algorithm is possible,despite the unstructured nature of the computational *** order of accuracy in time is achieved thanks to the ADER approach,making use of an element-local space-time Galerkin finite element *** novel schemes are carefully validated against a set of typical benchmark problems for the compressible Euler and navier-Stokes *** numerical results have been checked with reference solutions available in literature and also systematically compared,in terms of computational efficiency and accuracy,with those obtained by the corresponding modal DG version of the scheme.

AIM To analyze the association between oncohematological diseases and GSTT1 /GSTM1 /CYP1A1 polymorphisms, dietary habits and smoking, in an argentine hospitalbased case-control *** This hospital-based case-control study involved 125 patients with oncohematological diseases and 310 control subjects. A questionnaire was used to obtain sociodemographic data and information about habits. Blood samples were collected, and DnA was extracted using salting out methods. Deletions in GSTT1 and GSTM1 (null genotypes) were addressed by PCR. CYP1A1 MspI polymorphism was detected by PCR-RFLP. Odds ratio(OR) and 95%CI were calculated to estimate the association between each variable studied and oncohematological *** Women showed lower risk of disease compared to men(OR 0.52, 95%CI: 0.34-0.82, P = 0.003). Higher levels of education(> 12 years) were significantly associated with an increased risk, compared to complete primary school or less(OR 3.68, 95%CI: 1.82-7.40, P nd sex). With respect to tobacco, none of the smoking categories showed association with oncohematological diseases. Regarding dietary habits, consumption of grilled/barbecued meat 3 or more times per month showed significant association with an increased risk of disease(OR 1.72, 95%CI: 1.08-2.75, P = 0.02). Daily consumption of coffee also was associated with an increased risk(OR 1.77, 95%CI: 1.03-3.03, P = 0.03). Results for GSTT1, GSTM1 and CYP1A1 polymorphisms showed no significant association with oncohematological diseases. When analyzing the interaction between polymorphisms and tobacco smoking or dietary habits, no statistically significant associations that modify disease risk were found. COnCLUSIOn We reported an increased risk of oncohematological diseases associated with meat and coffee intake. We did not find significant associations between genetic polymorphisms and blood cancer.

Purpose： The aim of this study was to compare mechanical muscle function in the eccentric/concentric phases of vertical bilateral jumping in anterior cruciate ligament-reconstructed （ACLR）, elite （ELITE）, and adolescent （ADOL） alpine ski racers and ski cross athletes. Methods： Alpine ski racers/ski crossers （ACLR： n = 12, age = 26.7 ± 3.8 years; ELITE： n = 12, age = 23.9 ± 3.0 years; ADOL： n = 12, age = 17.8 ± 0.7 years; females： n = 6 per group, males： n = 6 per group） performed 5 maximal countermovement jumps （CMJs） and 5 squat jumps. The ground reaction forces for each limb were analyzed using dual force plate recording to obtain body center of mass （BCM） velocity, displacement, and power. The eccentric deceleration （ECC） and concentric phases were determined from BCM velocity. CMJ net concentric and ECC impulses were calculated （body mass normalized） along with the peak and mean BCM power and maximal vertical jump height. CMJ lower limb stiffness （LLS） was determined by the slope of the ground reaction forces vs. the BCM displacement curve over the ECC phase. Concentric and ECC asymmetry indices were calculated for each leg, and the left vs. right LLS was compared. Outcome measures （reported as mean ± SD） calculated as a 5-jump mean were normalized to body mass and compared using an analysis of variance. Results： no between-group differences were found for peak and mean power or jump heights. There were no group differences for LLS or net concentric phase impulse, but the net ECC impulse was lower in the ADOL group compared with ELITE skiers （ADOL： 1.33 ± 0.32 ns/kg; ELITE： 1.59 ± 0.16 ns/kg; p 〈 0.05）. Although no group differences were found for ECC asymmetry indices, a group × limb interaction was found for LLS （p 〈 0.01）, which was systematically higher in the right vs. the left limb of ADOL skiers （right： 54.1 ± 17.9 n/m/kg; left： 48.7 ± 15.7 n/m/kg;p 〈 0.01）. Objectives:Factors influencing results of balloon valvuloplasty(BVP)of pulmonary valve stenosis(PS)in children are ***:BVP has become the standard of care for PS,medium-term results are not uniform and depend on various ***:We analysed the medium-term results of BVP of PS in children in an observational,single centre *** for additional procedure was defined as outcome after initial ***:We included 143 children(83 female)at a median(IQR)age of 2.6(0.26–9.24)months and body weight of 5(3.4–8)kg at BVP with a follow–up of 5.04(1.6–10.2)*** used balloon size of 10(9–14)mm and maximal balloon pressure of 4(3.5–10)atm,resulting in balloon–to–pulmonary annulus ratio of 1.28(1.2–1.4).Systolic pressure gradient of PS was reduced with BVP(43.5 mmHg vs.14.0 mmHg,pnd confirmed by echocardiography(68.0 mmHg vs.25.0 mmHg,pn a relevant reduction of systolic pressure gradient in 23 of 31 patients(74.2%).Early additional procedure was necessary in 14 patients(9.8%)after 0.2(0.1–0.7)years due to residual PS(n=13)and infective endocarditis(n=1).Factors for additional procedures were associated supravalvular PS with a higher residual pressure gradient,but not genetic *** further follow–up of 5.04(1.6–10.2)years no further additional procedures were ***:Pulmonary BVP of native pulmonary valve stenosis leads to excellent medium-term results,even in 3 of 4 infants with associated supravalvular obstruction sufficient pressure relief can be obtained.

Objective To evaluate the relation between sperm count and ejaculatory volume. Methods Semen samples from 1 364 men were collected and ejaculate volume and sperm count were performed. Results A low correlation （11.6%） was found but statistically significant （P 〈O.O00 1） and a trend was observed to decrease in the linear regression analysis. In addition, the ejaculate volume was lower in the group with higher sperm count. Conclusion Sperm cells are diluted in the ejaculate volume, for this reason the ejaculates with more volume present less sperm count.

AIM: To investigate a possible role for a recently identified polymorphism in the gene of cytochrome P450 2E1, the presence of which is associated with high activity of the enzyme. METHODS: Two hundred and thirty-nine alcohol consumers, ICD 10.1/.2 (ALC), and 208 normal controls were studied. PCR amplification of the CYP2E1 gene region was performed to assess polymorphic variation. Fisher's exact test was used to assess the ***: Twelve normal controls (5.8%) possessed the insertion. Five ALC (2.1%) had the insertion; of these 2 of 144 with,alcohol induced chronic pancreatitis, none of 28 with alcoholic liver disease and 3 of 67 without endorgan disease had the polymorphism. A significantly Lower frequency of subjects possessed the insertion than normal controls [P = 0.049 (genotype analysis P = 0.03)]. To further assess, if there was a relationship to alcohol problems per se or end-organ disease, we compared patients with alcohol induced end-organ disease vs alcoholic controls without end-organ disease vs normal controls which again showed a significant difference [P = 0.045 (genotype analysis,P = 0.011)], further sub-group analysis did not identify which group(s) accounted for these ***: We have shown the frequencies of this high-activity polymorphism in alcohol related patient groups for the first time. The frequency is significantly less in alcoholics than normal controls, as with high activity polymorphisms of alcohol dehydrogenase. The biological significance, and whether the relevance is solely for alcoholism or is there a relationship to end-organ disease,would benefit from the assessment in the populations with a greater frequency of this polymorphism.
