New photometric investigation of the low-mass-ratio contact binary star V1853 orionis

Four-color charge-coupled device(CCD) light curves in the B, V, Rc and I c bands of the totaleclipsing binary system V1853 orionis(V1853 ori) are presented. By comparing our light curves with those published by previous investigators, it is determined that the o'Connell effect on the light curves has disappeared. By analyzing those multi-color light curves with the Wilson-Devinney code(W-D code),it is discovered that V1853 ori is an A-type intermediate-contact binary with a degree of contact factor of f = 33.3%(3.7%) and a mass ratio of q = 0.1896(0.0013). Combining our 10 newly determined times of light minima together with others published in the literature, the period changes of the system are investigated. We found that the general trend of the observed minus calculated(o-C) curve shows a downward parabolic variation that corresponds to a long-term decrease in the orbital period with a rate of d p/dt =-1.96(0.46)×10^(-7) d yr^(-1). The long-term period decrease could be explained by mass transfer from the more-massive component to the less-massive one. By combining our photometric solutions with data from Gaia DR_2, absolute parameters were derived as m_1 = 1.20 m⊙, m_2 = 0.23 m⊙, R_1 = 1.36 R⊙and R_2 = 0.66 R⊙. The long-term period decrease and intermediate-contact configuration suggest that V1853 ori will evolve into a high fill-out overcontact binary.

Acute Coronary Syndromes: Epidemiological, Clinical and management Aspects in Thies (Senegal)

purpose: To describe the epidemiological, clinical and management characteristics of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) in Thies, Senegal. methods: This was a prospective study that included consecutively from october 1p>stp>, 2018 to march 03p>rdp>, 2019, patients aged 18 years or older admitted for an ACS at the DIABCARmET department of the Saint Jean de Dieu Hospital in Thies. Results: of the 516 patients admitted, 29 had ACS, the prevalence was 5.62%. The average age of the patients was 64.2 ± 11.6 years. Nineteen patients (65.5%) were male and 10 (34.5%) were female, the sex ratio was 1.91. The number of direct admissions was 18 (62%) versus 11 patients (38%) referred. The mode of transport was a private vehicle in 19 patients (65.5%), an ambulance in 7 patients (24.1%) and public transport in 3 patients (10.3%). STEmI (ST segment elevation myocardial infarction) was the most common presentation observed in 19 patients (65.5%). Fifteen patients (51.7%) were admitted before the 12p>thp> hour. of the 19 patients with STEmI, 11 (57.9%) had arrived in hospital before the 12p>thp> hour and 10 patients had streptokinase thrombolysis. No patients received primary pCI. Ten patients (34.5%) had heart failure and five patients (17.2%) died during hospitalization. Conclusion: Delayed consultation and high mortality characterize ACS in Thies. prevention must be the rule.

A 53 years old female patient with hypertension presented with constrictive retrosternal chest pain. Initial Electrocardiogram (ECG) showed ST elevation in aVR and high level cardiac Troponin-I. Thrombolysis with streptokinase was performed and she underwent?coronary angiography who showed a long tight anterior inter ventricular lesion, occlusion of the proximal circumflex and an intermediate lesion of segment 2 of the right coronary.

Evaluation of the performances of the First Grid-Connected photovoltaic System in Sénégal

This document presents the evaluation and the monitoring of the performances of the first grid-connected photovoltaic system installed in the Center of Studies and Researches on the Renewable Energies (CERER) inaugurated on December 4th, 2012 by the governmental authorities of Senegal and Tenerife. This mini power plant of 3.15 kWc is a perfect example of the political will of the government which is to reduce the production cost of the electricity, with the diversification of the sources of production, and the greater use of the other sources such as the natural gas, the coal, the renewable energies. The evaluation of the performances of the installation is realized by using the indicators of efficiency and performance as the photovoltaic surface yield, the ratio of photovoltaic performance, the photovoltaic specific yield, and the losses of captures. The obtained results show that a big part of the energy shone during the period of observation was not able to be used further to circumstances such as the losses of conductivity, the heat losses or for example the defects on components. The analysis also shows that a large part of the produced energy is not injected because of the dilapidation of the network, the defects of landing but especially one disjunction sees frequently at the level of the point of injection.

Intra-Seasonal and Annual Variation of Aerosols and Their Radiative Impact in the Sahelian Zone of Burkina Faso

This paper deals with the characterization of aerosols in the Sahelian zone, particularly in Burkina Faso based on moDIS observations and in situ measurements of the AERoNET network on the ouagadougou site (12.2°N, 1.4°W). Thus, a seasonal spatial distribution of aerosols made over the period from 2001 to 2016 gives a very great variability of aerosols in Burkina Faso, whose maxima are encountered in Spring, characterized by winds from the North East. This seasonality of aerosols is also shown by the annual cycles of optical, radiative and microphysical parameters measured by AERoNET between 1999 and 2006. moreover, an analysis of these parameters shows the prevalence of mineral dusts characterized by low values of the Angstrom coefficient (α440-870 0.9) and the cooling noticed in the bottom of atmosphere (BoA) and at the top of the atmosphere (ToA). Also, the climatology of the volume size distribution of aerosols shows a very great variability of particles in terms of size influenced by the thin and coarse pattern where most sizes are between 1 and 10 μm.

Effects of potassium Humate Fertilizers and Irrigation Rate on potato Yield and Consumptive Use under Drip Irrigation method

The current study was carried out at Agricultural College, University of Baghdad in the vegetable farm, Department of Horticulture during 2013 spring growing season. Yield response to irrigation of different crops is of major importance in production planning where water resources are limited. This study aims to determine the effect of different irrigation treatment （deficit irrigation） and potassium humate fertilizer on yield, content of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphor in tuber of potato and water use efficiency in the Abu-Graib Region, Iraq. potato was grown under drip irrigation with three treatments： irrigation applied when evaporation 75%, 100% and 125% from pan A, and three potassium humate fertilizers： 0, 1.2 and 2.4 kg/ha with three times additions. The seasonal potato evapotranspiration ranged from 267 mm to 372 mm. The drip irrigation treatment had significant effecting tuber yield of potato recorder 29,530, 27,630 and 24,880 kg/ha for 125%, 100% and 75% from pan A evapotranspiration, respectively. Humus fertilizers addition has the lowest value of ETa 309 mm and maximum value of yield 2,930 kg/ha. Water use efficiency （WUE） and irrigation water use efficiency （IWUE） values increased with increasing humus fertilizers, recording 9.92, 14.52, 8.59, 12.42 and 7.51, 10.70 kg/m3 for potassium humate K3 （2.4 kg/ha）, K2 （1.2 kg/ha） and KI （0.0 kg/ha）, respectively. plants irrigated with 125% from class pans A evaporation, produced a significant increase in N, p and K content in tubers recorder 0.96%, 0.58% and 1.52%, respectively. potassium humus-fertilizer significant differences among K1, K2 and K3 on high of plants reached 41.52, 50.08 and 56.39 cm, respectively, number of stems/plant 2.69, 3.22 and 3.78, respectively, leaves area index recorder 2.80, 3.35 and 3.73.

Comparison of Two molecular Diagnostic Tests for CoVID-19: Abbott RealTime SARS-CoV-2 and Allplex™2019-nCoV, in the Epidemic Context in Senegal

Background: The persistence of the rapid spread of the CoVID-19 pandemic is linked to the appearance of several variants of SARS-CoV2 with an impact on biological diagnosis, treatment and vaccination. The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted several SARS-CoV-2 detection tests Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for diagnosis and better epidemiological surveillance. Thus, multiple RT-pCR tests have been developed and brought to market in order to meet the urgent need for the diagnosis of CoVID-19. However, comparative data between these tests in clinical laboratories are scarcely available to assess their performance. objective: To compare two molecular methods for detecting SARS-CoV-2: the RT-pCR, Allplex™2019-nCoV tests on CFX96 Bio-Rad and the Abbott m2000sp/rt RealTime SARS-CoV-2. materials and methods: Nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs were taken from patients to diagnose SARS-CoV-2 infection. For each sample, we searched for the virus with two different RT-pCR tests: 1) first on Abbott m2000 SARS-CoV-2 targeting the N and RdRp genes, 2) then on Allplex™2019-nCoV Assay looking for the E, N and RdRp genes. Results: percentages of the agreement were calculated. A total of 100 samples that tested negative and 90 positives on Abbott m2000 SARS-CoV-2 were retested on Allplex™2019-nCoV. overall agreement was 74.74% on all samples. The specific agreement was 84% and 64.4% respectively for negative and positive samples with the RealTime SARS-CoV-2 test. A positive correlation (rp>2p> = 0.63;p Conclusion: our results showed good overall agreement between RT-pCR, Allplex™2019-nCoV and Abbott RealTime SARS-CoV-2 tests in the diagnosis of CoVID-19. As the concordance is low for small viremias, the RT-pCR Allplex™2019-nCoV Assay would be better indicated during the acute and symptomatic phase of the disease.
