The paper reports on 3D numerical simulations of unsteady compressible airflow in a blade cascade consisting of flat profiles using a hybrid LES/rANS approach including a transition *** a first step towards simulation of blade flutter in turbomachinery,various incidence angle offsets of the middle blade were *** simulations were run for the flow r.g.me characterized by outlet isentropic Mach number M_(is)=0.5and zero *** results of the LES/rANS simulations(pressure and Mach number distributions)were compared to a baseline rANS model,and to experimental data measured in a high-speed wind *** numerical results show that both methods overpredict flow separation taking place at the leading *** this r.g.rd,the hybrid LES/rANS method does not provide superior results compared to the traditional rANS ***,the LES/rANS results also capture vortex shedding from the blunt trailing *** frequency of the trailing edge vortex shedding in CFD simulations matches perfectly the spectral peak recorded during wind tunnel measurements.

In recent years,endoscopic resection,particularly endoscopic submucosal dis-section,has become increasingly popular in treating non-metastatic superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).In this evolving paradigm,it is crucial to identify factors that predict higher rates of lymphatic invasion and poorer *** tumor size,deeper invasion,poorer differentiation,more infiltrative growth patterns(INF-c),higher.g.ade tumor budding,positive lymphovascular invasion,and certain biomarkers have been associated with lymph node metastasis and increased morbidity through retrospective reviews,leading to the construction of comprehensive nomograms for outcome *** validated by future prospective studies,these nomograms would prove highly applicable in guiding the selection of treatment for superficial ESCC.

Anomaly detection in wind turbines typically involves using normal behaviour models to detect faults *** behaviour models are often implemented through the use of neural networks,of which autoencoders are particularly popular in this ***,training autoencoder models for each turbine is time-consuming and resource ***,transfer learning becomes essential for wind turbines with limited data or applications with limited computational *** study examines how cross-turbine transfer learning can be applied to autoencoder-based anomaly ***,autoencoders are combined with constant thresholds for the reconstruction error to determine if input data contains an *** models are initially trained on one year’s worth of data from one or more source wind *** are then fine-tuned using small amounts of data from the target wind *** methods for fine-tuning are investigated:adjusting the entire autoencoder,only the decoder,or only the threshold of the *** performance of the transfer learning models is compared to baseline models that were trained on one year’s worth of data from the target wind *** results of the tests conducted in this study indicate that models trained on data of multiple wind turbines do not improve the anomaly detection capability compared to models trained on data of one source wind *** addition,modifying the model’s threshold can lead to comparable or even superior performance compared to the baseline,whereas fine-tuning the decoder or autoencoder further enhances the models’performance.

Contact binaries at various stages of evolution unveil various operating mechanisms that drive *** report the photometric and period variation analysis of two contact binaries EV Cnc and AH Cnc in open cluster *** observed the cluster from the JCBT 1.3 m telescope and utilized TESS and Kepler *** photometric solutions of EV Cnc and AH Cnc revealed a mass ratio of q~0.41 and~0.15 with an inclination of i=42°and87°*** solutions suggest that EV Cnc is probably a semi-detached and AH Cnc is a deep low-mass ratio contact *** study of O-C variation analysis indicates that for both systems,the period is increasing which suggests the mass transfer is occurring from secondary to *** the case of AH Cnc and based on simulations by randomly varying the time of minima to fit the LITE solution,we noted the third body orbital period to be around P_(3)=26.82±2.54 yr,which is different from earlier reported values and conclude that future observations are required to confirm this *** compare these two systems with other similar contact binaries to get an estimate of the final configuration of the respective systems.

Under optimal process conditions,pyrolysis of polyolefins can yield ca.90 wt%of liquid product,i.e.,combination of light oil fraction and heavier *** this work,the experimental findings reported in a selected group of publications concerning the non-catalytic pyrolysis of polyolefins were collected,reviewed,and compared with the ones obtained in a continuously operated bench-scale pyrolysis *** process parameters were used for the pyrolysis of waste and virgin counterparts of high-density polyethylene,low-density polyethylene,polypropylene and a defined mixture of those(i.e.,25:25:50 wt%,respectively).To mitigate temperature drops and enhance heat transfer,an increased feed intake is employed to create a hot melt plastic *** 1.5 g·min^(-1) feed intake,1.1 L·min^(-1) nitr.g.n flow rate,and a moderate pyrolysis temperature of 450℃,the formation of light hydrocarbons was favored,while wax formation was limited for polypropylene-rich *** of virgin plastics yielded more liquid(maximum 73.3 wt%)than that of waste plastics(maximum 66 wt%).Blending polyethylenes with polypropylene favored the production of liquids and increased the formation of gasoline-range *** products were mainly composed of C3 hydrocarbons,and no hydr.g.n production was detected due to moderate pyrolysis temperature.

good information is the basis for.g.od *** many invaluable salmon species,chemical information is necessary to guide and fine-tune their migrations to and from freshwater mating grounds.A problem is that salmon of the current world are running a gauntlet of toxic chemicals arising from diverse anthropogenic inputs and these chemicals are known to disrupt *** is sufficient evidence that effluents from cities,mines,agriculture and industry contain chemicals that can rapidly,and sometimes irreversibly,impair the olfactory sense that salmon use to gather *** toxic inputs may not only be strong enough to impair migration,but be strong enough to redirect salmon away from their *** is also evidence that some synthetic chemicals may serve as the basis for ‘new’ information and be useful in making correct migratory *** the plus side,there are examples of new r.g.lations that limit the input of chemicals of known olfactory toxicity,but on the minus side,increased urbanization and global climate change will likely increase the number and/or severity of some neurotoxic *** we identify the specific avenues of chemical risks to information disruption and in so doing prioritize and rank the risks to migrating *** data collected here can be used to lay the foundation for modelling the effects of anthropogenic inputs on information disruption in diverse salmonid species from around the world and therefore help secure their longevity in a changing chemical environment.
