Absolute Stability of Nonlinear Systems with Two Additive Time-varying Delay Components

In this paper, we present a new sufficient condition for absolute stability of Lure system with two additive time-varying delay components. This criterion is expressed as a set of linear matrix inequalities （LMIs）, which can be readily tested by using standard numerical software. We use this new criterion to stabilize a class of nonlinear time-delay systems. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the applicability of the results using standard numerical software.

Information security is one of the most important methods of protecting the confidentiality and privacy of internet *** greater the volume of data,the more the need to increase the security methods for protecting data from *** task can be challenging for researchers in terms of managing enormous data and maintaining their safety and *** of digital content is a major issue in maintaining the privacy and secrecy of *** this end,digital watermarking is based on the concept of information security through the insertion and detection of an embedded watermark in an efficient *** methodologies in the research on digital watermarking result in data distortion after embedding the *** scenario can reduce the efficiency of detecting watermarks as well as violate data *** study adapts a robust reversible histogram shifting(HS)technique for textual data in relational ***,the study presents a digital watermarking scheme intended for document copyright protection and proof of *** major advantage of the proposed watermarking scheme is that it can protect digital data and preserve data *** the best of our knowledge,this research methodology is promising for use in the HS expansion model for watermarking data on nonnumeric *** addition,the results showed that despite exposing the database to an insertion attacks at 50%and 75%of the watermark,the proposed algorithm can recovermore than half of the embedded watermark in all addition and alteration attacks *** a result,the watermark information can be retained and restored completely.

Carbon dioxide(CO_(2))capture and sequestration through CO_(2)enhanced oil recovery(EOR)in oil reservoirs is one of the approaches considered to reduce CO_(2)emission into the *** injection of CO_(2)into a subsurface geological formation may lead to chemical reactions that may affect the formation pore structure and *** this study,the effect of CO_(2)ebrineerock interaction on the rock petrophysical properties and mineral volume fraction was numerically investigated during CO_(2)injection into a chalk reservoir rock.A 3D numerical modeling and simulation were conducted using COMSOL®Multiphysics commercial software of computational fluid dynamics(CfD)to simulate CO_(2)ebrine core flooding process in a chalk *** model was validated against a coreescale experimental data from *** differential pressure data matched the literature experimental data closely and consistently indicating good agreement between *** effect on the performance of CO_(2)ebrineechalk sequestration was also evaluated in the present *** indicated that porosity was only slightly affected by temperature increase during CO_(2)injection in contrast to permeability that was substantially affected by ***,chemical reactions enhanced as temperature increased leading to significant increase in ***,carbonated brine sequestration excelled at elevated temperature due to increased acidity which governs the sequestration *** developed model maybe considered as a reliable tool to optimize various operating parameters of CO_(2)ebrine sequestration.

BACKGROUND:Liver transplantation currently represents the ultimate therapy for bleeding esophageal varices in patients with liver *** is the only therapy that cures both portal hypertension and the underlying liver *** outcome of liver transplantation is thought to be correlated with several *** this study,the clinical outcome of living-related liver transplantation(LRLT) was evaluated in patients with variceal bleeding,and the prognostic indicators of short-term survival in these patients were identified. METHODS:We reviewed retrospectively 121 patients with a history of variceal bleeding who had received LRLT from 1998 to *** clinical outcomes were analyzed,and the risk factors for short-term survival were defined. RESULTS:The 3-month survival rate of patients with variceal bleeding was 83.4%,while that of non-bleeders was 87%.Sepsis was the commonest cause of death in both *** vein diameter and blood transfusion were the only independent prognostic factors for short-term survival among variceal bleeders. CONCLUSION:The outcome of LRLT in recipients with variceal bleeding is based on the improvement of portal hemodynamics,by minimizing intraoperative blood loss and subsequent blood transfusion.

fusarium head blight(fHB)is a disease caused by several fusarium species,notably,*** and *** pathogens adversely affect the technological and sanitary qualities of cereal grains,particularly durum *** favorable environmental conditions and in susceptible varieties,these fusarium species can signiﬁcantly reduce both the quantity and quality of *** study evaluated the pathogenicity of the two fusarium species(fC2006 and fG2008)in the growth of durum wheat *** plant material included four commercially grown parental varieties(G9,G10,G11,G12)and eight breeding lines(G1,G2,G3,G4,G5,G6,G7,G8).In vitro tests revealed that both fusarium species signiﬁcantly reduced the coleoptile growth across the studied varieties and lines(p≤0.001).The control test had an average coleoptile length of 37.87 *** contrast,seeds inoculated with fC2006 had an average length of 0.62 mm,and those inoculated with fG2008 had only 0.064 *** there was a slight difference in aggressiveness between the two spe-cies,it was not statistically signiﬁcant(p>0.05).Some variability was also noted in the responses of the durum wheat varieties and *** G8 genotype showed remarkable behavior in both isolates,with an average length of 1.83 mm for fC2006 and 0.4 mm for *** other genotypes showed total inhibition of coleoptile growth(0 mm).Theseﬁndings highlight the importance of conducting further research on the defense mechanisms of durum wheat against fusarium and assessing the local varieties’pathogenicity to better explore the interactions between these pathogens and durum wheat genotypes under in vitro conditions.

BACKGROUND:Cholangitis after Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy is usually caused by anastomotic stricture.A small number of cases present without evidence of obstruction and are ascribed to reflux of gastro-intestinal content into the biliary tree above the anastomosis (sump syndrome).Despite prophylactic rotating antibiotic therapy,the cholangitic episode may be severe and ***:from 2001 to 2006,six patients who had undergone an end-to-side hepaticojejunostomy presented to our institution with recurrent episodes of biliary *** stricture was excluded by liver MRI/MRCP and percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram (PTC).Barium meal showed reflux of contrast into the biliary tree in all *** patients had a short jejunal Roux limb (less than 50 cm) on pre-operative ***:five patients underwent surgery and two of them had two *** patient had a Tsuchida antireflux valve and subsequently underwent lengthening of the Roux *** patients had lengthening of the Roux loop;one underwent re-do hepaticojejunostomy and one had concomitant revision of the hepaticojejunostomy and lengthening of the Roux *** latter underwent further lengthening of the Roux *** patients are cholangitis-free 6,36 and 60 months after surgery;two still experience mild episodes of ***:An adequate length of the Roux loop is important to prevent ***,Roux loop lengthening to 70 cm or more does not always resolve the problem and cholangitis,although generally less frequent and severe,may recur despite appropriate reconstructive or antireflux *** these cases,life-long rotating antibiotics is the only available measure.

High-quality medical microscopic images used for diseases detection are expensive and difficult to ***,low-resolution images are favorable due to their low storage space and ease of sharing,where the images can be enlarged when needed using Super-Resolution(SR)***,it is important to maintain the shape and size of the medical images while enlarging *** of the problems facing SR is that the performance of medical image diagnosis is very poor due to the deterioration of the reconstructed image ***,this paper suggests a multi-SR and classification framework based on Generative Adversarial Network(GAN)to generate high-resolution images with higher quality and finer details to reduce *** proposed framework comprises five GAN models:Enhanced SR Generative Adversarial Networks(ESRGAN),Enhanced deep SR GAN(EDSRGAN),Sub-Pixel-GAN,SRGAN,and Efficient Wider Activation-B GAN(WDSR-b-GAN).To train the proposed models,we have employed images from the famous BreakHis dataset and enlarged them by 4×and 16×upscale factors with the ground truth of the size of 256×256×***,several evaluation metrics like Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR),Mean Squared Error(MSE),Structural Similarity Index(SSIM),Multiscale Structural Similarity Index(MS-SSIM),and histogram are applied to make comprehensive and objective comparisons to determine the best methods in terms of efficiency,training time,and storage *** obtained results reveal the superiority of the proposed models over traditional and benchmark models in terms of color and texture restoration and detection by achieving an accuracy of 99.7433%.

Oxidative stress(OS)is detri me ntal to sperm fun ctio ns,and the oxidation reductio n pote ntial(ORP)is a good measure of OS as it considers the balance betwee n oxidants and reducta *** motile sperm count(TMSC)is viewed as the single most im porta nt semen analysis parameter that can predict male infertility severity,and its correlation with ORP has never been *** objectives of this study were to assess the correlation between ORP and TMSC,to identify the ORP cutoff value based on the TMSC result,and to compare this cutoff value with previously reported ORP cutoff values in *** thousand one hundred and sixty-eight infertile patients and 100 fertile controls were *** and semen data of the participants were retrieved and *** on's rank-sum test compared variables betwee n infertile men and fertile controls;Spearman's correlation assessed the static ORP(sORP)-TMSC relationship for the whole sample and among each group *** a 20×10^6TMSC threshold,receiver operator characteristic(ROC)analysis determined the sORP cutoff associated with the highest predictive *** was significantly negatively correlated with sORP across all participants(r=0.86,Pfertile patients(r=0.729,Pfertile controls(r=0.53,Pff value of 2.34 mV/106sperm/ml to be associated with 82.9%sensitivity,82.8%specificity,91.5%positive predictive value(PPV),68.5%negative predictive value(NPV),and 82.9%overall *** with previously reported cutoff values in searched literature,the 2.34 mV/10^6sperm/ml cutoff value identified in our study yielded the highest overall diagnostic accuracy in the evaluation of in fertile men.

BACKGROUND:Liver resection after liver transplantation is a relatively uncommon *** for liver resection include hepatic artery thrombosis(HAT),non- anastomotic biliary stricture(ischemic biliary lesions), liver abscess,liver trauma and recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Organ shortage and lower survival after re-transplantation have encouraged us to make attempts at graft salvage. METHODS:Eleven resections at a mean of 59 months after liver transplantation were made over 18 *** for liver resection included HCC recurrence in 4 patients, ischemic cholangiopathy,segmental HAT,sepsis and infected hematoma in 2 each,and ischemic segmentⅣafter split liver transplantation in 1. RESULTS:There was no perioperative *** included one re-laparotomy for small bowel perforation, one bile leak treated conservatively,one right subphrenic collection,one wound infection and 5 episodes of Gram- negative *** patient underwent re-transplantation 4 months after resection for chronic *** were 3 deaths,two from HCC recurrence and one from post- transplant lymphoproliferative *** overall mean follow-up after resection was 48 months. CONCLUSIONS:Liver resection in liver transplant recipients is safe,and has good outcome in selected patients and avoids re-transplantation in the majority of patients. Recipients with recurrent HCC in graft may benefit from resection,but cure is uncommon.
