Properties of shale in an acid environment are important when acid or CO2 is injected into geologic formations as a working fluid for enhanced oil and gas recovery,hydraulic fracturing and reduced fracture initiation *** has previously been shown that acid fluids can enhance the formation conductivity and decrease the hardness of ***,less is known about the effect of dilute acid on the adhesion properties of *** the study,shale samples are characterized in detail with advanced *** properties of shale via dilute acid treatment were revealed by atomic force microscopy(AFM)for the first *** indicate that acid treatment can greatly enhance adhesion forces of the shale *** acid treatment,the average adhesion forces show a platform-like growth with an increase in loading *** analysis of results from AFM,scanning electron microscopy,and X-ray diffraction,we affirm that the enhanced adhesion forces are mainly from increased specific surface area and reduced elastic *** results presented in this work help understand the adhesion properties of shale oil/gas present in an acidic environment,which have great significance in unconventional resources development.

Carbon dots have unique advantages in biological applications owing to their excellent optical prope ***,the biosafety evaluation of carbon dots has limitations owing to cytotoxicity in vitro,and the re is little pre-safety evaluation before in vivo and clinical *** the carbon dots are or not suitable for applications in vivo,evaluation analysis can be made based on hemolysis and changes in erythrocyte *** this work,a green fluorescent N,S-doped carbon dots(N,S-CDs)were obtained by hydrothermal method,tobias acid,and m-phenylenediamine as precursors.N,S-CDs not only possessed excellent dispersibility,uniform particle size,high quantum yield(37.2%)and stable photoluminescence property but also retain their photostability and stro ng fluorescence intensity in the acid/alkaline solutions,different ionic strengths(NaCl)and under 365 nm UV *** r,the N,S-CDs displayed low cytotoxicity and high cellular uptake efficiency in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC)and excellent blood compatibility to the *** is foreseeable that N,S-CDs could be further studied as a promising biological imaging agent in vivo.

AIM: To evaluate the effect of scleral encircling bands on the development and progression of diabetic retinopathy(DR) in diabetic ***: The medical records of diabetic patients who underwent unilateral retinal detachment(RD) surgery using scleral buckle and encircling band were reviewed retrospectively. Both eyes of patients were included in the study: one eye in each patient had a scleral buckle with encircling band(the operated eye) and the other one is the non-operated eye. The demographic characters, duration of diabetes and period between surgery and the last recall visit were retrieved from each patient. All the cases underwent fundus photo and fluorescein angiography(when indicated) to confirm the DR ***: Totally 25 patients fulfilled the inclusion and the exclusion criteria were become eligible for the study. A total of 50 eyes of 25 patients were enrolled in this analysis. The mean period of time passed from surgery with encircling band and the last reassessment visit was 12.5±2 y. Even though DR could develop in the operated eyes, it was at a less degree of severity compared to the non-operated eyes of same patients(P=0.027).CONCLUSION: Scleral encircling bands have protective effects against the development and progression of DR.

One of commonly used approach to enhance the Web performance is Web proxy caching technique. In Web proxy caching, Least-Frequently-Used-Dynamic-Aging (LFU-DA) is one of the common proxy cache replacement methods, which is widely used in Web proxy cache management. LFU-DA accomplishes a superior byte hit ratio compared to other Web proxy cache replacement algorithms. However, LFU-DA may suffer in hit ratio measure. Therefore, in this paper, LFU-DA is enhanced using popular supervised machine learning techniques such as a support vector machine (SVM), a naive Bayes classifier (NB) and a decision tree (C4.5). SVM, NB and C4.5 are trained from Web proxy logs files and then intelligently incorporated with LFU-DA to form Intelligent Dynamic- Aging (DA) approaches. The simulation results revealed that the proposed intelligent Dynamic- Aging approaches considerably improved the performances in terms of hit and byte hit ratio of the conventional LFU-DA on a range of real datasets.

立面收进框架—剪力墙高层建筑结构抗震性能分析

近年来,为满足生产和人民生活的需要,高层建筑飞速发展。基于中国的地震活动,所有的建筑,特别是有立面收进高层建筑结构,都要考虑到地震作用以及规范标准,同时还有立面收进对高层建筑的抗震性能的影响。本文以兰澳花苑高层建筑为研究对象,分别利用有限元分析软件SAP2000 v16.1建立了立面收进与非立面收进两种高层建筑结构模型,并利用时程分析法研究了立面收进高层建筑在El Centro、Altadena和ARRY06三种地震波作用下的抗震性能和非立面收进高层建筑在El Centro地震波作用下的抗震性能。以下两点是该研究的主要结论:首先,研究了立面收进对总高度106.4米的34层的立面收进框架剪力墙混凝土RC高层建筑的影响。结果表明,一、立面收进高层建筑结构周期比等于0.885,证明了立面收进高层的扭转为常规扭转。二、所有模型结果分析(包括模型顶部位移分析,层间位移分析,层间位移角分析和层间位移比分析,地震作用水平力P,模型中X和Y方向地震作用下正负楼层剪力及弯矩曲线,X和Y方向的扭转和模型X和Y方向的刚度比2?)在ARRY06地震波作用下是最为大的,而在El Centro地震波作用下是最小的。三、在三种地震波(El Centro、Altadena和ARRY06)作用下立面收进高层建筑模型的抗震侧刚度和内力在收进层有突变,证实了第七层为结构的薄弱层。在地震的作用下,高层建筑的破坏是从结构的薄弱层开始的,而第七层的薄弱特征直接影响着高层建筑结构的抗震能力,会导致严重的变形。其次,运用SAP2000 V16.1来分析总高度106.4米的34层两栋混凝土RC高层建筑塔楼模型(第一个模型有收进,第二个模型无收进)在同一场地条件、地震波(El Centro)以及规范下的地震作用,并且对比了这两栋高层建筑抗震性能分析的结果,从而分析了立面收进对高层建筑抗震性能的影响。本文研究证实立面收进直接影响高层建筑。设置立面收进的高层建筑模型具有扭转应变,而不设计立面收进高层建筑模型不具有扭转应变。有立面收进高层建筑模型的位移比无立面收进高层建筑模型的位移要小,但是有立面收进高层建筑模型的内力有突变。我们在设计高层建筑时,若利用立面收进,则可以使高层建筑的位移减小,但同时高层建筑的内力会突变。

从伊斯兰教进入了中国以后,伊斯兰文化和当地文化不断的融合和交流,在长期交流的过程中形成了中华民族的一个新兴民族。中国穆斯林文化是中华传统文化和阿拉伯伊斯兰两大文化体系融合的成果,他吸收了两大文化的精粹,具有旺盛的生命力,给中国文化增添了一道亮丽的风景。中国西北地区是中国穆斯林一个主要的分布区域,而回族人口数量众多。因为甘肃作为西北“丝绸之路”上的重要节点,也是伊斯兰教进入了中国的一个很重要节点。兰州作为甘肃的省会城市,地处西北中心,是重要的交通枢纽,所以兰州市的人民文化早就有了多元的基础,多样的丰富习俗和传统。目前为止兰州穆斯林生活各方面发展的很快,包括穆斯林生活中最重要的宗教清真寺建筑,因此研究兰州伊斯兰建筑的形成、发展与变化特点、空间布局特征、建筑特色,是深入了解近代中国文化和伊斯兰文化在兰州伊斯兰建筑文化融合的重要环节,也是研究中国文化和伊斯兰文化的完美结合的标本。本论文以兰州清真寺建筑为对象,拍摄了兰州穆斯林清真寺建筑大量实证照片,并对相关的文献资料进行了研究。因此为了更详细的研究兰州伊斯兰清真寺建筑文化各方面,本论以两大项而进行了研究。一、通过清真寺建筑的设计方面（包括建筑风格、平面布置）和建筑的各部分结构（礼拜殿、宣礼塔与望月楼、大穹顶、讲经堂、大门等）来研究中阿两大文化对兰州伊斯兰建筑结构的影响。二、通过兰州清真寺建筑的装饰艺术,包括装饰色彩及寓意、装饰花纹、装饰材料及做法来研究在兰州清真寺建筑美术方面中阿两种文化的完美融合和建筑物的丰富多样性。研究的结果表明:兰州伊斯兰清真寺建筑有大的发展和变化,不管是结构方面、装饰艺术、功能方面,兰州清真寺建筑以中国传统装饰中应用和伊斯兰教文化中的原则而突出了宗教内容,取得了个性鲜明的面貌,反映了中国穆斯林审美心理和本族对宗教建筑的充分兴趣,融合了他们自己的宗教文化和自己国家传统文化结合在一起完美多彩成果。

Crises in the past have caused devastating,long-lasting impacts on the global *** after-effects always bring some dynamic and rigorous challenges for businesses and *** challenges have always been a point of discussion for *** recent COVID-19 pandemic emaciated the global economy,leaving everyone mired in uncertainty,fear,and psychological *** of the headwind features utilized by consumers during pandemic was panic buying(PB),which must be explored in various contexts for policymakers and *** address this gap,this study deployed a moderated mediation mechanism,integrating the health belief model(HBM)and competitive arousal theory(CAT)to excavate the notions underlying PB with the intrusion of evolved real-time psychological disorders:intolerance of uncertainty(IU)and cyberchondria(CYC).The study was conducted as a natural experiment in a South Asian developing economy using online *** found that health beliefs—perceived severity(PSV)and perceived susceptibility(PSC)—positively impact perceived arousal(PA),which causes PB,and that PA has a sturdy mediator ***,in the relationship between health beliefs and arousal,the different psychological disorders were found to have significant moderating roles The study findings can help mitigate risk uncertainties and panic situations and thus contribute to consumers’wellbeing.

Scenario-Based Assessment of the Water-Energy-Food Nexus in Kuwait: Insights for Effective Resource Management

The interdependency among water, food, and energy (WEF) in the GCC countries is strongly and closely interlinked, and is intensifying as demand for resources increases with population growth and changing consumption patterns, and are expected to be further compounded by the impacts of climate change. Therefore, integrated management of the three sectors is crucial to reduce trade-offs and build synergies among them. This paper presents a comprehensive framework to assess the WEF nexus in Kuwait as a representative case for the GCC countries. The framework consists of three main steps: 1) evaluating the influence of socio-economic development and climate change on water, energy, and food resources;2) generating scenario-based projections;and 3) conducting an extensive quantitative nexus analysis. The WEF interlinkages in Kuwait are modelled quantitatively using the Q-Nexus model, and current critical interdependencies are evaluated. Then, various WEF-Nexus scenarios were conducted for the year 2035 to explore the effects of management interventions in one sector on the other two sectors. The main findings are that per capita municipal water consumption is a major influencer on the WEF-nexus due to the heavy reliance on thermal desalination in municipal water supply in Kuwait, which is attributed to its energy intensity, financial cost, GHGs emissions, and environmental impacts on the marine and air environments. To reduce WEF trade-offs, mitigate risks, and build synergies among the three sectors, it is important to shift the current policy focus on supply-side management approach to the demand-side management and efficiency approaches.

The Impact of Blood Transfusion on the Efficiency of Stem Cell Transplants

Background: While blood product transfusion is essential for managing hematologic deficits in Allogenic Hematopoietic stem cell transplant (AHSCT) recipients, it has risks including infectious disease transmission, alloimmunization, and transfusion reactions. These risks have sparked an ongoing debate regarding the overall impact of transfusions on patient outcomes. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of Red Blood Cells (RBCs) and/or platelet transfusion on the infection incidence and overall survival in AHSCT patients. Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of clinical and laboratory data of sixty adult patients with primary malignant hematological disorder who had undergone AHSCT. Participants’ data were categorized into two groups;Group 1 (low transfusion group) consisted of patients receiving 10 units. Quantitative data were expressed as mean ± SD. The t-test of significance and Chi-square (χ2) test were used, with p ≤ 0.05 considered significant. Result: A total of 60 patients’ data was included. In Group 1, out of 30 patients, 13 (43.33%) developed infections. In contrast, Group 2 had 21 (70%) out of 30 patients develop infections. Group 1 had a higher survival rate (57.8%) than Group 2 (transfusion > 10 units) (46.2%) with a chi-square value = 23.56, and p-value Conclusion: The volume of blood product transfusions has a considerable impact on patient outcomes, particularly infection and survival rates. Additional long-term prospective studies and larger randomized controlled trials are needed to strengthen the evidence for determining transfusion protocols for these patients.
