Security Enhanced Adaptive TCP for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks

TCP is a reliable transport protocol designed to perform well in wired networks where packet losses are due congestion. However in wireless ad hoc networks, where packet losses are due to channel errors or link failures between mobile nodes, TCP degrades its performance. Further, it lacks certain protection mechanisms from internal and external malicious nodes. In this paper, a security enhanced and adaptive TCP, namely SA-TCP, has been proposed for wireless ad hoc networks. SA-TCP uses network layer information to detect various types of packet losses and adjusts the value of congestion window dynamically according to the conditions of the dynamic network. It works normally to collect the samples of congestion window and calculates the mean from these samples to set the value of future congestion window. SA-TCP also adjusts the value of congestion window limit according to network conditions. In order to make SA-TCP suitable in highly vulnerable wireless ad hoc networks, a less complex identity-based public key cryptography has been integrated with the proposed protocol. The three-way handshaking process of SA-TCP is made secure by generating a secret session key on-fly between source-destination. Simulation results show that SA-TCP gives higher throughput compared to the popular?New Reno?and ATCP in different wireless ad hoc network scenarios.

Voice classification is important in creating more intelligent systems that help with student exams,identifying criminals,and security *** main aim of the research is to develop a system able to predicate and classify gender,age,and ***,a newsystem calledClassifyingVoice Gender,Age,and Accent(CVGAA)is *** and bagging algorithms are designed to improve voice recognition systems that incorporate sensory voice features such as rhythm-based features used to train the device to distinguish between the two gender *** has high precision compared to other algorithms used in this problem,as the adaptive backpropagation algorithm had an accuracy of 98%and the Bagging algorithm had an accuracy of 98.10%in the gender identification *** has the best accuracy among all algorithms,with 55.39%accuracy in the voice common dataset and age classification and accent accuracy in a speech accent of 78.94%.

Background:Although the clinical importance of complete,intact total mesorectal excision(TME)is the widely accepted standard for decreasing local recurrence of rectal cancer,the residual mesorectum still represents a significant component of resection margin *** study aimed to use a visible intraoperative sign to detect the distal mesorectal end to ensure complete inclusion of the mesorectum and avoid unnecessary ***:The distal mesorectum end was investigated retrospectively through a review of 124 operative videos at the Union Hospital of Fujian Medical University(Fujian,China)and Cleveland Clinic(Ohio,USA)by two independent surgeons who were blinded to each ***,28 cadavers and 44 post-operative specimens were prospectively examined by hematoxylin and eosin(H&E)staining and Masson’s staining to validate and confirm the findings of the retrospective *** and multivariate analyses were carried out to detect the independent factors that can affect the visualization of the distal mesorectal ***:The terminal line(TL)is the distal mesorectal end of the transabdominal and transanal TME(taTME)and appears as a remarkable pearly white fascial structure extending posteriorly from 2 to 10 o’*** examination revealed that the fascia propria of the rectum merges with the presacral fascia at the TL,beyond which the mesorectum ends,with no further downward *** the retrospective observation,the TL was seen in 56.6%of transabdominal TME and 56.0%of taTME *** approach and tumor distance from the anal verge were the independent variables that directly influenced the detection of the TL(P=0.03 and P=0.01).Conclusion: The TL is a visible sign where the transabdominal TME should end and the taTME should begin. Recognitionof the mesorectal end may impact the certainty of complete mesorectum inclusion. Further clinical trials are needed toconfirm the preliminary findings.

Classical Fundamental Unique Solution for the Incompressible Navier-Stokes Equation in RN

We present a class of non-convective classical solutions for the multidimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equation. We validate such class as a representative for solutions of the equation in bounded and unbounded domains by investigating the compatibility condition on the boundary, the smoothness of the solution inside the domain and the boundedness of the energy. Eventually, we show that this solution is indeed the unique classical solution for the problem given some appropriate and convenient assumptions on the data.

Liquid scintillation counting (LSC) is an adequate nuclear technique to determine radioactivity levels, as verified by this study for the determination of the gross alpha and beta activities of aqueous samples because of its simplicity and low associated cost comparison with other techniques. This paper discusses a new approach to the monitoring of gross alpha and gross beta activities in water. The method consists of using pulse decay discrimination (PDD) liquid scintillation counting LSC of 2 ml of the sample after conditioning with 12 ml of AB-Ultima Gold LSC cocktail, and PDD 139 condition. Different factors that affected on the counting efficiency were studied such as quench reaction, volume of sample, and type of vial. The gross alpha and gross beta particle activity measurement using 40K and 243Am with different activities concentration for efficiency determination. The calculated detection limits were 0.07 Bq/l and 0.12 Bq/l for gross alpha and gross beta respectively for 500 min measurements of samples produced by concentration of one liter of water.

The objective of this paper is to assess if real-time intermittent Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) helps to improve the control of glycemic and outcome of pregnancy in women with diabetes. A total of 123 women with type 1 diabetes and 31 women with type 2 diabetes respectively were used at random in the Continuous Glucose Monitoring for a total of 6 days at different stages of pregnancy. Results revealed that intermittently using real-time Continuous Glucose Monitoring in pregnancy plus plasma glucose which is self-monitored does not really help to improve the control of glycemic or outcome of pregnant women with diabetes.

AIM： To determine the types and incidence of tumors affecting the orbit, conjunctiva and lacrimal glands and to study the trend line of these tumors in the United States from 1973 to ***： We used the publicly available Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results （SEER） database registries to determine the incidence rates. Age was adjusted to the 2000 US Standard Population. Patients were stratified according to age group, gender, race and histological grouping of tumor lesions. Three age groups were defined： 0-19, 20-49 and ≥50y. Annual percentage changes were calculated to examine ***： The overall age adjusted incidence rate was 3.39 （95%CI： 3.27-3.52） per million person-years. The tumors were more prevalent in age group ≥50 counting 9.51 （95%CI： 9.11-9.92） per million person-years. Most of the soft tissue sarcomas occurred in the young age with incidence rate of 0.35 （95%CI： 0.28-0.42） per million person-years. Lymphomas were the dominant subtype in the adult population with incidence rate of 5.74 （95%CI： 5.43-6.06） per million person-years. Incidence rates were higher in males than females with an overall rate ratio of 1.31 （95%CI： 1.21-1.41） mainly caused by the increase in carcinoma subtypes. White race had a higher tumor incidence with a rate ratio of 1.47（95%CI： 1.25-1.73） driven by the higher incidence of most histological subtypes. Orbital tumors showed a higher incidence rate followed by conjunctival and lacrimal gland tumors with incidence rates of 1.59, 1.37 and 0.43 per million person-years respectively. The trend line of overall incidence of tumors showed a significant increase （APC=3.11, 95%CI： 2.61-3.61） mainly due to increase of lymphomas. The 0.8 Me V copper （ Cu） ion beam irradiation-induced effects on structural, morphological and optical properties of tin dioxide nanowires （Sn02 NWs） are investigated. The samples are irradiated at three different doses 5 × 10^12 ions/cm2, 1 ×10^13 ions/cm2 and 5 × 10^13 ions/em2 at room temperature. The XRD analysis shows that the tetragonal phase of Sn02 NWs remains stable after Cu ion irradiation, but with increasing irradiation dose level the crystal size increases due to ion beam induced coalescence of NWs. The FTIR spectra of pristine Sn02 NWs exhibit the chemical composition of SnO2 while the Cn-O bond is also observed in the FTIR spectra after Cu ion beam irradiation. The presence of Cu impurity in SnO2 is further confirmed by calculating the stopping range of Cu ions by using TRM/SRIM code. Optical properties of SnO2 NWs are studied before and after Cu ion irradiation. Band gap analysis reveMs that the band gap of irradiated samples is found to decrease compared with the pristine sample. Therefore, ion beam irradiation is a promising technology for nanoengineering and band gap tailoring.
