Drip irrigation proved to efficiently provide irrigation water and nutrients to the roots of plants, while maintaining high yield production. This research was established to study the root and nutrient distribution under drip irrigation. Faba bean and onion plants were cultivated in the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture of Suez Canal University in ismailia city with the application of normal fertilizers to soil. The data showed that soil moisture content in the soil planted with faba bean increased with the horizontal distance between drippers, contrariwise moisture content decreased with horizontal distance with the soil planted with onion. The data showed the vertical distribution of root length, root length density and specific root length of faba bean and onion decreased with increasing soil depth. The data showed that ammonium and nitrate pattern at the soil planted with the both plants increased between drippers and laterals. The peak concentration was recorded 35 mg/kg at 60 - 80 cm soil depth for faba bean and onion, indicating that the NO3-N leaching was low by drip irrigation. Available phosphorus was higher at the surface layer than the subsurface layer at the soil planted with faba bean and onion. Available potassium tended to move both horizontally and downward under drip irrigation.

BACKGROUND： We have previously reported that adult enteric glia （EG） facilitate the growth of transected dorsal root axons into the uninjured spinal cord to form functional connections with their targets. OBJECTiVE： The present study investigated the effects of EG on spinal cord function, tissue injury, and axonal regeneration following transplantation into injured rat spinal cords, according to histological and functional outcomes. DESiGN, TiME AND SETTiNG： A randomized controlled animal experiment was performed at McMaster University, Canada from January 2006 to March 2008. MATERiALS： EG were isolated from rat intestine, METHODS： One week following spinal cord crush, female Wistar rats were injected with an EG suspension （2 μL, 1 × 10^5/μL, n = 10） or with the same volume of fresh culture medium alone （control animals, n = 11）. The third group did not receive any injection following laminectomy and served as the sham-operated controls （n = 5）. MAiN OUTCOME MEASURES： Behavior was tested prior to transplantation and weekly following transplantation, with nine behavioral examinations in total. Open field, hind limb placement response foot orientation response, and inclined plane test were utilized. immediately following the final behavioral examination, spinal cord T9 to L1 segments were harvested for immunohistochemical and hematoxylin-eosin staining to determine astroglial scarring, axonal regeneration and spinal cord lesion size. RESULTS： Rats with EG transplantation exhibited significantly better locomotor function with reduced tissue damage, compared with the control rats. Cystic cavities were present 2 months after injury in spinal cords from both control groups. in contrast, rats injected with EG did not present with cystic lesions. in addition, the injury site consisted of cellular material and nerve fibers, and axonal regeneration was apparent, with dense labeling of neurofilament-positive axons within the injury site. Process optimization of photovoltaic devices is a time-intensive,trial-and-error endeavor,which lacks full transparency of the underlying physics and relies on user-imposed constraints that may or may not lead to a global ***,we demonstrate that embedding physics domain knowledge into a Bayesian network enables an optimization approach for gallium arsenide(GaAs)solar cells that identifies the root cause(s)of underperformance with layer-by-layer resolution and reveals alternative optimal process windows beyond traditional black-box *** Bayesian network approach links a key GaAs process variable(growth temperature)to material descriptors(bulk and interface properties,e.g.,bulk lifetime,doping,and surface recombination)and device performance parameters(e.g.,cell efficiency).For this purpose,we combine a Bayesian inference framework with a neural network surrogate device-physics model that is 100×faster than numerical *** the trained surrogate model and only a small number of experimental samples,our approach reduces significantly the time-consuming intervention and characterization required by the *** a demonstration of our method,in only five metal organic chemical vapor depositions,we identify a superior growth temperature profile for the window,bulk,and back surface field layer of a GaAs solar cell,without any secondary measurements,and demonstrate a 6.5%relative AM1.5G efficiency improvement above traditional grid search methods.

贵州省荔波县精准扶贫取得了重大成就,但仍存在乡村基层领导班子结构参差不齐、基层党建管理体制脱离实际,工作内容单一、工作方式方法传统,村民思想上缺乏脱贫志气、难以自我发展,党员干部与村民的联系不是很紧密等问题,影响着脱贫攻坚任务的实现。从基层党建和精准扶贫的关系视角来看,基层党建需要强基固本,夯实脱贫攻坚组织基础;纠正错误思想,激发群众脱贫动力,不断地突破农村基层党建与精准扶贫的传统各自单线发展的局限,实现基层党建与精准扶贫的相互促进。

The last decade is characterized by an explosive growth of interest in the impact of red beet root on human health. in the review information on the chemical composition and nutritional value of red beet as well as pigments biological effects are presented. Analyzed reports abound on antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and chemo-preventive Beta vulgaris phytochemical activity, its impact on gastrointestinal and cardiovascular system as well as endurance exercise performance. in details the red beet nitrates bioconversion and its role in blood pressure regulation have been described. The first information on red beetroot juice impact on iron metabolism is summarized. Beet processing methods, which led to the appearance of a lot of conventional red beet products, functional food, and dietary supplements, are described. Fractionated red beetroot juice on the molecular mass basis is prospective for senile sarcopenia as well as senile cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s disease prevention. The aim of this review is to discuss red beetroot biological effects and new trends in the studies, targeted on development of new functional food products as well as medicines.

root-Knot Nematodes （RKN） Meloidogyne spp. significantly affects glasshouse tomatoes in Central Greece. Elimination or halting J2s could be an efficient strategy to control RKN. Recently, it was reported that a commercial product of Neem （Azadirachta indica） seed extract （Azadirachtin 1% Emulsion Concentrate-EC） significantly reduced the number of galls on tomato roots and egg masses, compared to the untreated control. in the present study neem proved to have a direct immobilising effect on RKN J2s. Different concentrations （0, 0.05, 0,1, 0.25, 0.5, i, 5, 10, 25 and 50%） of the tested neem product were applied with water containing fresh J2s and in soil naturally infected with RKN. Records of immobilised J2s were taken after 10 min, 1 h, 6 h, 24 h and 72 h of Neem application in water and after six days of neem application into the soil. Neem solution concentrations 5% and 10%, resulted in 85% ± 3.2 and 100% of immobilised J2s. The same concentrations of neem when were added in the water for nematode extraction from the soil, resulted 14.25% ± 4.01 and 1.7%, of J2s extracted from the soil with a significant concentration effect （P = 0.008）, compared to the untreated control. However, the neem product at high application dose significant damage the tomato plants caused phytoxicity.

Use of Sorghum Crops for in Situ Phytoremediation of Polluted Soils

There has been carried out a comparative research, which allow us to determine the quantities and the central points of accumulation ofPb, Cu, Zn and Cd in the vegetative and reproductive organs of the four sorghum varieties （technical sorghtan, sugar sorghum, sudan grass and grain sorghnm）, as well as to ascertain the possibilities for their growth in soils contaminated with heavy metals and their application for phytoremediation purposes. The experimental plots were situated at different distances （0.1 and 15.0 kin） from the source of pollution-the Non-Ferrous Metal Works near Plovdiv, Bulgaria. On reaching commercial ripeness, the crops were gathered and the concentrations of Pb, Cu, Zn and Cd in their different parts-roots, stems, leaves and gains-were determined through dry mineralization. To determine the heavy metal content in the samples, iCP was used. A clearly distinguished trend exists which describes the accumulation of heavy metals within the vegetative and reproductive organs of the studied crops. Sudan grass and technical sorghum accumulated larger heavy metal quantities compared to sugar sorghum and grain sorghum, as the majority of the heavy metals was retained by the roots and a very small amount was translocated to epigeous parts. The depots for accumulation were in the following order： roots 〉 leaves 〉 stems 〉 grains. The studied crops can be related to metal-tolerant crops and can be cultivated on softs which are of low, medium or high contamination with lead, zinc and cadmium, as they do not exhibit a tendency of accumulating these elements in grains at levels above the maximum permissible concentrations for fodder. The selective accumulation of Pb, Cu, Zn and Cd in the roots and the possibility to remove the root-remains makes technical sorghum, sugar sorghum and Sudan grass extremely suitable for phytoremediation purposes. The possible use of grains for animal food guarantees the economic expedience upon the selection of these crops.

Coffee production has decreased due to environmental and management factors. The current plantations are old and unproductive, also due to the rust problem, caused by the fungus Hemileia vastatrix Berk & Br. Furthermore, the shade in the production systems has decreased with the consequent increase in soil erosion, in addition to the increase in agrochemicals. Currently, the planting of new varieties with resistance to the fungus is increasing. Furthermore, it has been shown that various biofertilized perennial crops in nursery favor their growth. in this study, the effect of applying two beneficial microorganisms, Rhizophagus intraradices and/or Azospirillum brasilense, to the planting of four varieties of Coffea arabica L. was evaluated. The coffee varieties marseillase, geisha, sarchimor and costa rica 95 were established in bags with the following treatments: 1) control, 2) R. intraradices, 3) A. brasilense, 4) R. intraradices + A. brasilense. Morphological and physiological yield components were recorded 168 days after transplanting. Data was analyzed statistically and differences between treatments were compared according to Tukey (p ≤ 0.05). The results indicate that individual or combined biofertilization of microorganisms favors dry matter allocation compared to the control and the same is differentially assigned to the stem and root. The Specific Leaf Area (SLA) also showed differential response between applications of the microorganisms, in two varieties it increased when they were applied alone and in the others when they were applied together.
