doped two-dimensional(2d)materials hold significant promise for advancing many technologies,such as microelectronics,optoelectronics,and energy ***,n-type 2d oxidized Si nanosheets,namely n-type siloxene(n-SX),are employed as Li-ion battery *** thermal evaporation of sodium hypophosphite at 275℃,P atoms are effectively incorporated into siloxene(SX)without compromising its 2d layered morphology and unique Kautsky-type crystal ***,selective nucleophilic substitution occurs,with only Si atoms being replaced by P atoms in the O_(3)≡Si-H *** resulting n-SX possesses two delocalized electrons arising from the presence of two electron donor types:(i)P atoms residing in Si sites and(ii)H *** doping concentrations are varied by controlling the amount of precursors or their mean free *** at 2000 mA g^(-1),the n-SX electrode with the optimized doping concentration(6.7×10^(19) atoms cm^(-3))delivers a capacity of 594 mAh g^(-1) with a 73%capacity retention after 500 *** improvements originate from the enhanced kinetics of charge transport processes,including electronic conduction,charge transfer,and solid-state *** approach proposed herein offers an unprecedented route for engineering SX anodes to boost Li-ion storage.

The emergence of the Internet-of-Things is anticipated to create a vast market for what are known as smart edge devices,opening numerous opportunities across countless domains,including personalized healthcare and advanced *** 3d integration,edge devices can achieve unprecedented miniaturization while simultaneously boosting processing power and minimizing energy ***,we demonstrate a back-end-of-line compatible optoelectronic synapse with a transfer learning method on health care applications,including electroencephalogram(EEG)-based seizure prediction,electromyography(EMG)-based gesture recognition,and electrocardiogram(ECG)-based arrhythmia *** experiments on three biomedical datasets,we observe the classification accuracy improvement for the pretrained model with 2.93%on EEG,4.90%on ECG,and 7.92%on EMG,*** optical programming property of the device enables an ultralow power(2.8×10^(-13) J)fine-tuning process and offers solutions for patient-specific issues in edge computing ***,the device exhibits impressive light-sensitive characteristics that enable a range of light-triggered synaptic functions,making it promising for neuromorphic vision *** display the benefits of these intricate synaptic properties,a 5×5 optoelectronic synapse array is developed,effectively simulating human visual perception and memory *** proposed flexible optoelectronic synapse holds immense potential for advancing the fields of neuromorphic physiological signal processing and artificial visual systems in wearable applications.

The prediction of liquefaction-induced lateral spreading/displacement(dh)is a challenging task for civil/geotechnical *** this study,a new approach is proposed to predict dh using gene expression programming(GEP).Based on statistical reasoning,individual models were developed for two topographies:free-face and gently sloping *** with a comparison with conventional approaches for predicting the dh,four additional regression-based soft computing models,*** process regression(GPR),relevance vector machine(RVM),sequential minimal optimization regression(SMOR),and M5-tree,were developed and compared with the GEP *** results indicate that the GEP models predict dh with less bias,as evidenced by the root mean square error(RMse)and mean absolute error(MAE)for training(i.e.1.092 and 0.815;and 0.643 and 0.526)and for testing(i.e.0.89 and 0.705;and 0.773 and 0.573)in free-face and gently sloping ground topographies,*** overall performance for the free-face topology was ranked as follows:GEP>RVM>M5-tree>GPR>SMOR,with a total score of 40,32,24,15,and 10,*** the gently sloping condition,the performance was ranked as follows:GEP>RVM>GPR>M5-tree>SMOR with a total score of 40,32,21,19,and 8,***,the results of the sensitivity analysis showed that for both free-face and gently sloping ground,the liquefiable layer thickness(T_(15))was the major parameter with percentage deterioration(%d)value of 99.15 and 90.72,respectively.

Angiosperms represent most plants that humans cultivate,grow,and ***,angiosperms are only one of five major land plant *** a whole lineage,plants also include algal *** these clades represent a tremendous genetic diversity that can be investigated to reveal the evolutionary history of any given *** this review,we describe the current model of the plant immune system,discuss its evolution based on the recent literature,and propose future directions for the *** angiosperms,plant–microbe interactions have been intensively studied,revealing essential cell surface and intracellular immune receptors,as well as metabolic and hormonal defense *** diversity at the genomic and functional levels demonstrates the conservation of these pathways across land plants,some of which are beyond *** basis of the conserved mechanisms,lineage-specific variations have occurred,leading to diversified reservoirs of immune *** rare cases,this diversity has been harnessed and successfully transferred to other species by integration of wild immune receptors or engineering of novel forms of receptors for improved resistance to *** propose that exploring further the diversity of immune mechanisms in the whole plant lineage will reveal completely novel sources of resistance to be deployed in crops.

In the last decade,micro-architected structures have gained significant attention in academia and industry for their lightweight,strong,and thermally efficient *** by biomimicry design,this paper presents a novel ribbed family of additively manufactured Micro-Architected domes(MAd).The design incorporates tetrapod pyramid unit cells,golden ratio-based fractal patterns,Schoen’s Minimal Gyroid,and spherical *** study focuses on dome radius,height,and azimuth/elevation partitioning as input variables,with the main output being ribbed micro-cell *** relationships between unit-cells’diameter and input variables were established through problem-solving and numerical computations:linear dependency with the dome radius and hyperbolic dependency with the azimuth and elevation *** proposed design successfully adhered to the Surface-to-Volume ratio of Schoen’s Minimal Gyroid,achieving an average volume relative density of 2.5%,confirming its lightweight *** feasibility of the design was further supported by fabricating three specimens using Filament Fused *** research showcases the potential of biomimicry-inspired micro-architected structures,paving the way for innovative applications in various fields.

In spite of the high potential economic feasibility of the tandem solar cells consisting of the halide perovskite and the kesterite Cu2ZnSn(S,se)4(CZTSse),they have rarely been demonstrated due to the difficulty in implementing solution-processed perovskite top cell on the rough surface of the bottom ***,we firstly demonstrate an efficient monolithic two-terminal perovskite/CZTSse tandem solar cell by significantly reducing the surface roughness of the electrochemically deposited CZTSse bottom *** surface roughness(R_(rms))of the CZTSse thin film could be reduced from 424 to 86 nm by using the potentiostatic mode rather than using the conventional galvanostatic mode,which can be further reduced to 22 nm after the subsequent ion-milling *** perovskite top cell with a bandgap of 1.65 eV could be prepared using a solution process on the flattened CZTSse bottom cell,resulting in the efficient perovskite/CZTSse tandem solar *** the current matching between two subcells involving the thickness control of the perovskite layer,the best performing tandem device exhibited a high conversion efficiency of 17.5%without the hysteresis effect.
