Nowadays,the world is fighting a dangerous form of Coronavirus that represents an emerging *** its early appearance in China wuhan city,many countries undertook several strict regulations including lockdowns and social distancing ***,these procedures have badly impacted the world *** and isolating positive/probable virus infected cases using a tree tracking mechanism constitutes a backbone for containing and resisting such fast spreading *** helping this hard effort,this research presents an innovative case study based on big data processing techniques to build a complete tracking system able to identify the central areas of infected/suspected people,and the new suspected cases using health records integration with mobile stations spatio-temporal data *** main idea is to identify the positive cases historical movements by tracking their phone location for the last 14 days(i.e.,the virus incubation period).Then,by acquiring the citizen’s mobile phone locations for the same period,the system will be able to measure the Euclidean distances between positive case locations and other nearby people to identify the in-contact suspected-cases using parallel clustering and classification ***,the daily change of the clusters size and its centroids will be used to predict new regions of infection,as well as,new ***,this approach will support infection avoidance by alerting people approaching areas of high probability of infection using their mobile GPS *** case study has been developed as a simulation system consisting of three components;positive cases/citizens movement’s data generation subsystem,big data processing platform including CPU/GPU tasks,and data visualization/map geotagging *** processing of such a big data system requires intensive computing ***,GPU tasks carried out to achieve high performance and accelerate the data *** to the sim

Palliative radiotherapy(pRT) is primarily employed for palliation of bone pain in patients with castrate-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC). However, evidence that p RT influences prostate-specific antigen response in patients with CRPC on systemic therapy is lacking. we describe three cases of CRPC progressing after treatment with docetaxel(n=2) and abiraterone(n=1), who responded unusually after p RT for bone pain with the development of a significant biochemical response and restoration of response to systemic therapy. The possibility of p RT influencing metastatic disease in CRPC has not been previously reported, and raises the possibility of radiation-induced modulation of anti-tumor immune response mechanisms that may play a role in the restoration of response to systemic treatment.

The effect of Mn_(3)O_(4)addition on microhardness,microstructure and electrical properties of vanadium oxide doped zinc oxide varistor ceramics is systematically *** Vicker’s microhardness HV has decreased with increasing the amount of ***,the average grain size has decreased from 27.51μm to 19.55μm with increasing the amount of Mn_(3)O_(4) up to 0.50 mol%,whereas an increase in Mn_(3)O_(4) up to 0.75 mol%has caused the average grain size to increase and then it decreases with increasing Mn_(3)O_(4)from 0.75 mol%to 1.00 mol%.The sintered density has decreased from 5.38 g/cm3 to 5.31 g/cm3 with increasing the amount of Mn_(3)O_(4).The varistor ceramic modified with 0.50 mol%Mn_(3)O_(4) has exhibited excellent nonlinear properties,with 16.29 for the nonlinear coefficient and 441.9μA/cm2 for the leakage current ***,the sample doped with 0.50 mol%Mn_(3)O_(4) has been found to possess donor density as 0.77×10^(18) cm^(-3) and 0.916 eV barrier height.

The management of castrate-resistant prostate cancer progressing after maximum androgen blockade(MAB) has evolved in the last decade with the development of several novel therapeutic options. However, the initial therapeutic strategy in these patients usually involves withdrawal of anti-androgen that can be associated with biochemical response in approximately 20% of patients. Notably, we have observed evidence of sustained biochemical response in two patients following secondand third-line MAB using rechallenge schedule of previously administered anti-androgen after latent interval. The possibility of response following sequential MAB using the same anti-androgen agent has not yet been reported.

The electrochemical oxidation behavior and voltammetric assay of gemifloxacin were investigated using differential-pulse and cyclic voltammetry on a screen-printed carbon *** effects of pH,scan rates,and concentration of the drug on the anodic peak current were *** of gemifloxacin in Tris-HCl buffer（pH 7.0） exhibited a well-defined single oxidation peak.A differential-pulse voltammetric procedure for the quantitation of gemifloxacin has been developed and suitably validated with respect to linearity,limits of detection and quantification,accuracy,precision,specificity,and *** calibration was linear from 0.5 to 10.0 μM,and the limits of detection and quantification were 0.15 and 5.0 μ*** ranging from 96.26% to 103.64% were *** method was successfully applied to the determination of gemifloxacin in pharmaceutical tablets without any *** present in the tablets did not interfere in the assay.

Novel CYP1B1 mutations and a possible prognostic use for surgical management of congenital glaucoma

AIM: To identify CYP1B1 gene mutations and evaluate their possible role as a prognostic factor for success rates in the surgical management of Egyptian congenital glaucoma ***: Totally 42 eyes of 29 primary congenital glaucoma patients were operated on with combined trabeculotomy/trabeculectomy with mitomycin-C and followed up at 1 d, 1 wk, 1, 6 and 12 mo postoperatively. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood leukocytes. Coding regions of CYP1B1 gene were amplified using 13 pairs of primers, screened for mutations using single-strand conformation polymorphism followed by sequencing of both strands. Efficacy of the operation was graded as either a success [maintaining intraocular pressure(IOP) less than 21 mm Hg with or without antiglaucoma medication], or a failure(IOP more than 21 mm Hg with topical antiglaucoma medications). RESULTS: Seven novel mutations out of a total of 15 different mutations were found in the CYP1B1 genes of 14 patients(48.2%). The presence of CYP1B1 gene mutations did not correlate with the failure of the surgery(P=0.156, odds ratio=3.611, 95%CI, 0.56 to 22.89); while the positive consanguinity strongly correlated with failure of the initial procedure(P=0.016, odds ratio=11.25, 95%CI, 1.57 to 80.30). However, the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis revealed a significantly lower time of IOP control in the subgroup with mutations in CYP1B1 versus the congenital primary glaucoma group without mutations(log rank test, P=0.015).CONCLUSION: Seven new CYP1B1 mutations are identified in Egyptian patients. Patients harboring confirmed mutations suffered from early failure of the initial surgery. CYP1B1 mutations could be considered as a prognostic factor for surgery in primary congenital glaucoma.

Investigation of Some Structural and Mechanical Properties of Ba0.5CaxSr0.5-xTiO3Ceramics

Failure analysis of the semi-permanent coupler which failed in service of Metro rail was conducted in order to know the reason for failure. The examinations include visual, photo detection, chemical analysis, hardness measurements, tensile and v-notch impact test, microstructure and SEM observation of fracture surface. Chemical analysis and tensile test shows that the coupler material can be classified as grade B cast steel in AAR M201 steel casting specification. Although the microstructure of the coupler material shows incomplete homogenization indicating the improper conduction of heat treatment, the v-notch impact results is accepted according to this specification. The fracture surface shows the existence of much porosity at the internal surface of the hollow like pipe-coupler and the fracture started at these sites showing beach marks. SEM observation of the fracture surface shows fatigue striations indicating the occurrence of fatigue started at the porosity defects. The cast defects act as a stress concentration site for fatigue crack initiation. Crack occurred, propagated, and connected the defects to each other. The occurrence of collision resulted in bending of the female part of the coupler（plastic deformation occurs） at the lower thin wall（～ 5.41 mm thickness）. Moreover, opening of the previously formed fatigue crack and accelerating the failure were occurred. Recommendations were explained to prevent the occurrence of this failure.

Ba0.5CaxSr0.5-xTiO3 (BCST) ceramics, where x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4, were prepared by the conventional solid state reaction technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the formation of BST perovskite phase structure besides some calcium oxide peaks for samples with high Ca content, x. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results confirmed the XRD results, i.e., as x increased, the average grain size decreased. Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis verified the increase of the amount of Ca element with increasing of its content. Mechanical properties such as ultrasonic attenuation, longitudinal wave velocity, and longitudinal elastic modulus were studied by an ultrasonic pulse echo technique at 2 MHz frequency. Investigations of ceramic microstructures and mechanical properties showed their dependence on composition. Increasing of Ca content resulted in a decrease in bulk density and ultrasonic attenuation and an increase in porosity, velocity, and modulus. High temperature ultrasonic studies showed, in addition to Curie phase transition, three or more relaxation peaks and its origin was investigated.
