核心素养自被提出,一直是受全球教育界瞩目的焦点。它为学校教育提供了清晰的学生培育目标,关注学校教育要培育在知识、情感、价值观上能解决问题并有能力面对未来的人。马来西亚华文独中从创立到发展素来具有其独特的办校历史背景及社会文化价值。K校在2019年实施“自主学习日”,在学生核心素养的培养上,展露新的教育契机。笔者以K校为个案,综合运用质性和量化的研究方式,如:文献研究、问卷调查及质性访谈等方法展开研究。研究过程中,笔者对92位教师及179位高三学生进行问卷调查;对30位行政领导及教师和10位学生进行访谈,以便对K校开展“自主学习日”的过程中,师生对其实施现状、显现问题及原因有更进一步的了解。研究发现,“自主学习日”的实施虽带来了初步的成效,但过程中也存在各级别学习活动主题不够明确、师生对自主学习日尚不适应、核心素养的发展存在较大差异的问题。造成上述问题的原因包括:学校各方的认识仍有待深化,学校的管理机制需要健全,教师意识与能力亟需提高。在分析问题及其致因后,笔者提出了以下的改进对策建议,如:树立愿景,形成变革共识、多管齐下,完善管理制度、赋能教师,助力教学探索,以提升“自主学习日”在实施层面及培养学生核心素养上的效益。

Background: Cardiorespiratory fitness involves both cardiovascular and respiratory capacities. However, existing methods have been criticised for reflecting cardiovascular fitness, but not pulmonary fitness. The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between these two testing parameters. Methods: A cross-sectional population-based physical fitness assessment was conducted in 23 schools. The body height and weight, lung capacity, and step test results of students aged 10-18 were recorded. Criterion-referenced standards from the China Sports Bureau were adopted, as they include separate measurements for cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness. Results: The Pearson coefficients of lung capacity and the step test index from 13,028 schoolchildren ranged from 0.007 to 0.086 and from 0.026 to 0.105 for boys and girls, respectively, showing that poor correlations exist between the two parameters. Cluster analysis resulted in three clusters of children with similar characteristics. A good degree of similarity was found between the two parameters in children obtaining an “excellent” grade, but only a moderate degree of similarity between the two parameters in those obtaining a “good”, “pass” or “fail” grade. Conclusion: When cardiovascular fitness and pulmonary fitness are considered separately, there is a poor correlation between them, thus indicating further studies of cardiopulmonary fitness measurements is necessary.

This study aims to investigate the rapid loss of numerical symmetry for problems with symmetrical initial conditions and boundary conditions when solved by the seventh and higher order nonlinear characteristic-wise weighted essentially non-oscillatory(WENO)finite difference *** the one-dimensional double rarefaction wave problem and the Sedov blast-wave problems,and the twodimensional Rayleigh-Taylor instability(RTI)problem as examples,we illustrate numerically that the sensitive interaction of the round-off error due to the numerical unstable explicit form of the local lower order smoothness indicators in the nonlinear weights definition,which are often given and used in the literature,and the nonlinearity of the WENO scheme are responsible for the rapid growth of asymmetry of an otherwise symmetric *** equivalent but compact and numerical stable compact form of the local lower order smoothness indicators is suggested for delaying the onset of and reducing the magnitude of the symmetry *** benefits of using the compact form of the local lower order smoothness indicators should also be applicable to non-symmetrical strongly non-linear problems in terms of improved numerical stability,reduced rounding errors and increased computational efficiency.

This study systematically evaluates the TCGA whole-transcriptome sequencing data of hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC） by comparing the global gene expression profiles between tumors and their corresponding non- tumorous liver tissue. Based on the differential gene expression analysis, we identified a number of novel dysregulated genes, in addition to those previously reported. Top-listing upregulated （CENPF and FOXM1） and downregulated （CLEC4G, CRHBP, and CLEC1B） genes were successfully validated using qPCR on our cohort of 65 pairs of human HCCs. Further examination for the mechanistic overview by subjecting significantly upregulated and downregulated genes to gene set enrichment analysis showed that different cellular pathways were involved. This study provides useful information on the transcriptomic landscape and molecular mechanism of hepatocarcinogenesis for development of new biomarkers and further in-depth characterization.

Solid organ transplant(SOT)recipients receive immunosuppressive drugs(ISDs)and are susceptible to developing severe ***,we analyze the Spike-specific T-cell response after 3 doses of mRNA vaccine in a group of SOT patients(n=136)treated with different *** demonstrate that a combination of a calcineurin inhibitor(CNI),mycophenolate mofetil(MMF),and prednisone(Pred)treatment regimen strongly suppressed the mRNA vaccine-induced Spike-specific cellular *** defects have clinical consequences because the magnitude of vaccine-induced Spike-specific T cells was directly proportional to the ability of SOT patients to rapidly clear SARS-CoV-2 after breakthrough *** then compensate for the T-cell defects induced by immunosuppressive treatment and to develop an alternative therapeutic strategy for SOT patients,we describe production of 6 distinct SARS-CoV-2 epitope-specific ISD-resistant T-cell receptor(TCR)-T cells engineered using the mRNA electroporation method with reactivity minimally affected by mutations occurring in Beta,Delta,Gamma,and Omicron *** strategy with transient expression characteristics marks an improvement in the immunotherapeutic field and provides an attractive and novel therapeutic possibility for immunosuppressed COVID-19 patients.

Evaluating the feasibility and preliminary effects of an online compassion training program for nursing students:A pilot randomized controlled trial

Objectives:This study aimed to assess the feasibility of an online compassion training program for nursing students and preliminarily investigate its effects on mindfulness,self-compassion,and stress ***:This study employed a randomized controlled trial ***-year students from a nursing college in Guangzhou,China,were recruited as research participants in August *** intervention group participated in an 8-week online compassion training program via the WeChat platform,comprising three stages:mindfulness(weeks 1e2),self-compassion(weeks 3e5),and compassion for others(weeks 6 e8).Each stage included four activities:psychoeducation,mindfulness practice,weekly diary,and emotional *** feasibility was assessed through recruitment and retention rates,program engagement,and participant *** effectiveness was measured with the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale,Self-Compassion Scale-Short Form,and Perceived Stress ***:A total of 28 students completed the study(13 in the intervention group,15 in the control group).The recruitment rate was 36.46%,with a high retention rate of 93.3%.Participants demonstrated high engagement:69.2%accessed learning materials every 1e2 days,93.3%practiced mindfulness at least weekly,with an average of 4.69 diary entries submitted per person and 23.30 WeChat interactions with *** acceptability,all participants expressed satisfaction with the program,with 92.4%finding it“very helpful”or“extremely helpful.”In terms of intervention effects,the intervention group showed a significant increase in mindfulness levels from pre-intervention(51.54±10.93)to postintervention(62.46±13.58)(Pchange was observed in the control *** there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in post-intervention self-compassion and perceived stress levels,the intervention group showed positive trends:selfcompassion levels increase
