The evolution of a local fragmented model of services for children with autism in Hong Kong emerged gradually over the past three decades with lack of government funding or support. This had been due to increasing number of children with autism being detected and referred for earlier assessment. With increasing pressure from parents due to long waiting time for assessment and training services and the increasing polarization by mass media there had been a gradual increasing public awareness over the past five years. Though still highly fragmented in the availability of services, there is a growing "business model" available in the community due to increasing need and lack of public funding for support. There is a lack of strategic planning for medical diagnostic and management issues in Hong Kong. Our University of Hong Kong based Autism Research Program was pioneered in 1985 based on the increasing load of autism cases referred for assessment for other developmental problems and diagnosed as Autism in the Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital. As the first author has been the staff of the University of Hong Kong, this program flourished as a research based program. The benefits of early identification and intervention of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) had been increasingly recognized, and with the increased public awareness and increasing trend of earlier diagnosis, there has been a continuously high demand from parents for earlier assessment and training for children suspected to have ASD. This model had not received extra funding for this integrated program for research, teaching and training in autism. We had to apply for various donations and grants to support the development of this pioneer program. The research output and organization of forums for public education and awareness are reviewed. The latter part of the paper reports the summary of clinical profile of autism cases(N=1441) assessed from 1985 to 2010 June under the University of Hong Kong. As the waiti

Objectives:In order to explore the contrasting salt-stress responses of two rice varieties,the physiological responses and biochemical responses were investigated using proteomics and classical biochemical ***:The results showed that the seedling growth was inhibited under salt condition in the two rice varieties,such as leaves’ wilting and *** interesting phenomenon was observed that only in the tolerant variety,the fresh root weight increased dramatically after 3 days of salt stress,and the content of chlorophyll also increased dramatically which contributes to the increase of the fresh shoot weight and dry shoot weight after 7 days.A comparison of 2-DE protein profiles between the untreated control and salt-stressed roots revealed 9 differentially expressed protein *** the nine identified proteins,six of them are not well documented about their role in the salt stress *** proteins were involved in protein metabolic *** possible implication in plant adaptation to salt stress is ***:These results provide novel insights to explore salt-response proteinscorrelated with improved salt tolerance.

Thermally conductive polymer nanocomposites integrated with lightweight,excellent flexural strength,and high fracture toughness(KIc)would be of great use in many ***,achieving all of these properties simultaneously remains a great *** by natural nacre,here we demonstrate a lightweight,strong,tough,and thermally conductive boron nitride nanosheet/epoxy layered(BNNEL)*** of the layered structure and enhancing the interfacial interactions through hydrogen bonding and Si–O–B covalent bonding,the resulting nacre-inspired BNNEL nanocomposites show high fracture toughness of~4.22 MPa·m^(1/2),which is 7 folds as high as pure ***,the BNNEL nanocomposites demonstrate sufficient flexural strength(~168.90 MPa,comparable to epoxy resin),while also being lightweight(~1.23 g/cm^(3)).Additionally,the BNNEL nanocomposites display a thermal conductivity(κ)of~0.47 W/(m·K)at low boron nitride nanosheet loading of 2.08 vol.%,which is 2.7 times higher than that of pure epoxy *** developed nacre-inspired strategy of layered structure design and interfacial enhancement provides an avenue for fabricating high mechanical properties and thermally conductive polymer nanocomposites.

BACKGROUND ： Many experimental results have been found in previous studies on whether laterality of brain cingulate gyrus exists in processing Chinese words information. OBJECTIVE ： To observe the function of right anterior cingulate gyrus and activation showed by MRI in processing Chinese words in a visual working memory judgment tasks, and evaluate the laterality of activated brain regions. DESIGN ： Observation experiment SETTING ： The Medical Psychological Research Center, Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University.PARTICIPANTS： Thirteen healthy volunteers （7 males and 6 females）, aged （29±7）years ranging from 23 to 36 years old, participated in this fMRI study dunng August 2003 to Febuary 2004. They gave informed consent in accordance with guidelines set by Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. All subjects were native Chinese speakers and strongly right handed. METHODS ： In this study, Chinese numeral words were used as test materials and test mode of Sternberg was used in cognitive task, it was aimed to investigate the encephalic region involved in the storage and processing of Chinese numerical information. ①The head of subject was fixed with dense foam pad. Visual working task was performed according to the requests. Verbal working task was that the subject saw target items for four numerals written in Chinese, presenting for 1.5 s and then, after a short time by blank for 3.0 s. The subject saw one numeral presenting for 1.5 s and had to press one button if it was one of the shown numbers and another button if it did not belong to the presented numbers. There were two visual working memory stimuli in each stimulation block. The experiment was conducted in a single run, which consisted of seven blocks of visual working memory tasks. Different Chinese numerals were displayed in each block to avoid any practice effect （The response rate of the whole working memory task was 50%）. ②The activation of brain was scanned with a 1.5T

城市母亲对学前儿童社会化发展的信念

以上海市216名中班儿童母亲(男孩母亲112名,女孩母亲104名)为研究对象,本研究采用访谈法,通过三个假想情境调查母亲对学前儿童三种社会技能(分享、控制消极情绪、助人)的社会化目标、社会化归因和社会化策略的信念,结果表明在社会化目标上,超过一半的母亲认为分享和助人的重要性显著高于控制消极情绪,因为分享和助人行为是符合社会传统习俗和道德品质要求的表现,而控制消极情绪则是随着幼儿年龄增长而自然发展的;在社会化归因上,母亲认为幼儿出现助人行为和能够控制消极情绪主要是受社会规范或道德要求等外部因素的影响。对于分享行为,男孩母亲在内外两种归因上差异不显著,女孩母亲则倾向于外部归因;在社会化策略上,大部分母亲都报告她们倾向于使用以幼儿为中心的引导策略,而最不倾向于使用父母权威的教导策略。

为解决Ether CAT协议应用于伺服驱动器所产生的故障诊断及容错的问题,首先深入研究了基于Ether CAT协议的伺服控制系统架构,分析并总结了伺服驱动器Ether CAT总线接口所产生的运行故障及容错技术,然后设计并实现了基于总结归纳的三类故障诊断及容错机制流程,并搭建实验平台进行实验测试,实验结果表明,这种故障诊断和容错技术的应用很好地提高了Ether CAT总线式伺服驱动器运行的可靠性和稳定性。
