Further to the investigation of the critical properties of the Potts model with q = 3 and 8 states in one dimension (1D) on directed small-world networks reported by Aquino and Lima, which presents, in fact, a second-order phase transition with a new set of critical exponents, in addition to what was reported in Sumour and Lima in studying Ising model on non-local directed small-world for several values of probability 0 P P = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 with different lattice sizes L = 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 to compare between the important physical variables between Ising and Potts models on the directed small-world networks. We found in our paper that is a phase transitions in both Ising and Potts models depending essentially on the probability P.

医疗信息技术的重要性最近几年得到了戏剧性的提升。研究者、开发者以及公司已经开始努力发展手机、网络、桌面以及企业E健康应用。这些发展又提升了E健康应用和健康信息系统(HIS)之间的互通和数据交换的重要性,进而导致了对敏感数据和数据交换的安全性的担忧。这篇文章强调了基于云计算服务的HISs和E健康应用之间的标准化数据交换机制和互通性。这项服务在包含有大量的病人记录的HISs上提供一个单一的检索电子医疗记录和搜索此类信息的E健康应用的入口。再者,这项研究提出一个统一的安全平台提供给开发者、安全医疗提供者和组织者一个连接框架的渠道去检索和管理医疗记录,以及提供给大量注册者个人一个连接通道到自己的医疗记录(PHR)。此项服务和平台已经在埃及亚历山大大学医学院示范的医生、病人和医院管理者之间进行了定性的评估。评估结果比较乐观,不过原型的实现还需要更多的研究。

经羊膜腔婴儿饲管输注治疗产时胎儿呼吸窘迫

Objective: To evaluate the role of therapeutic amnioinfusion using a pediatric feeding tube in cases of intrapartum fetal distress. Methods: A randomized clinical trial including 438 women admitted in labor at Assiut University Hospital with nonreassuring fetal heart rate tracing. Using sealed opaque envelopes, the women were randomized to 2 groups. In the amnioinfusion group they underwent transcervical amnioifusion (1000 mL of warmed sterile saline solution) in addition to conventional treatment. In the control group they received conventional treatment only. The primary outcome was cesarean section rate for fetal distress. The secondary outcomes were neonatal and maternal complications. Results: The amnioinfusion group showed a significant reduction in the rate of cesarean section for fetal distress (relative risk [RR], 0.7; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.6- 0.83), and a 30% reduction in abnormal fetal heart rate patterns (RR, 0.7; 95% CI, 0.6- 0.83). Significantly fewer newborns had Apgar scores less than 7 at 1 and 5 min in the amnioinfusion group than in the control group (RR, 0.38; 95% CI, 0.26- 0.55 and RR, 0.31; 95% CI, 0.15- 0.64, respectively). Significantly fewer newborns had meconium below the vocal cords in the amnioinfusion group than in the control group (RR, 0.36; 95% CI, 0.13- 0.97). Moreover, 14 newborns in the amnioinfusion group needed admission to the intensive care unit vs. 31 newborns in the control group. There were no significant differences between the 2 groups regarding the incidence rates of uterine hypertonus and maternal temperature higher than 38° C. Conclusion: Therapeutic amnioinfusion is a simple and effective intervention that reduces the rates of cesarean section for intrapartum nonreassuring fetal heart tracing. In under-resourced settings, it can be performed using inexpensive catheters.

The hepatoprotective activity of the ethanol extract of Astragalus kahiricus(Fabaceae) roots against ethanol-induced liver apoptosis was evaluated and it showed very promising hepatoprotective actions through different *** extract counteracted the ethanol-induced liver enzymes leakage and glutathione *** addition,it demonstrated anti-apoptotic effects against caspase-3 activation and DNA fragmentation that were confirmed by liver histopathological ***,the phytochemical study of this extract led to the isolation of four cycloartane-type triterpenes identified as astrasieversianin II(1),astramembrannin II(2),astrasieversianin XIV(3),and cycloastragenol(4).The structures of these isolates were established by HRESI-MS and 1D and 2D NMR *** antimicrobial,antimalarial,and cytotoxic activities of the isolates were further evaluated,but none of them showed any activity.
