Objective:To study the seasonal variability of heterotrophic dinoflagellate in the station of Cercina(southern coast of Tunisia).Methods:Sampling was done in 2007 in Cercina station located in the western coast of Kerkennah(34°41'27''N;11°07'45''E)(Southern Tunisia).Three replicates of water samples were taken during 10 days of each *** variables and nutrients were measured in ***:A significant seasonal difference was observed for temperature and water *** highest values were observed in spring and *** significant seasonal difference was,however,detected for nitrite,nitrate,ammonia,silica and ***-five species of dinoflagellate were identified in the station of *** of dinoflagellates fluctuated between seasons with values showing a significant seasonal and monthly *** highest mean abundance was recorded in spring in April,while the lowest abundance was detected in December in *** granii was the main species contributing to the dissimilarity between spring and winter with 13.98%followed by Peridinium *** 12.5%of dissimilarity and by Polykrikos *** 10.58%.Conclusions:Heterotrophic dinoflagellates proliferate in spring and *** increase was justified by the nutrient *** granii and Polykrikos kofoidii were the main heterotrophic dinoflagellate making difference between seasons and their densities were positively correlated with both temperature and salinity.

Purpose:Malnutrition is a common problem among hospitalized patients,especially among traumatic brain injury(TBI)*** is developed from hypermetabolism and the condition may worsen under the circumstance of underfeeding or incompatible dietary ***,the data of nutrient intake especially calorie and protein among TBI patients were ***,this study aimed to determine the calorie and protein intake among acute and sub-acute TBI patients receiving medical nutrition therapy in hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah,***:This observational study involved 50 patients recruited from the neurosurgical *** of 24 h dietary recall was utilized and combined with self-administered food diaries for 2-8 *** consumptions including calorie intake and protein intake were analyzed using Nutritionist PRO™(Woodinville,USA)and manual calculation based on the Malaysian food composition database(2015).Results:Patients consisted of 56%males and 44%females with the median age of 28.0(IQR=22.8-36.5)years,of which 92%were diagnosed as mild TBI and the remaining(8%)as moderate *** Glasgow coma scale(GCS)was adopted to classify TBI severity with the score 13-15 being mild and 9-12 being *** median length of hospital stay was 2(IQR=2.0e3.3)*** and protein intake improved significantly from day 1 to discharge ***,the intake during discharge day was still considered as suboptimal,i.e.75%of calorie requirement,whilst the median protein intake was only 61.3%relative to protein ***,the average percentages of calorie and protein intakes throughout hospitalization were remarkably lower,i.e.52.2%and 41.0%,***:Although the calorie and protein intakes had increased from baseline,hospitalized TBI patients were still at a risk to develop malnutrition as the average intakes were considerably low as compared to their *** nutrient intakes especially calorie and protein are crucial to

Background: Epidemic of anemia is considered to be a significant threat to pregnant women or women in child bearing age. Anemia is one of the major nutritional health disorders affecting significant proportion of population not only in developing countries but also in developed countries. This threat is more alarming in developing countries where poverty, illiteracy may contribute to high risk for causes of anemia. Objective: The purpose of the current study was to investigate the main causes of anemia in pregnant women in the State of Azad Kashmir, Muzaffarabad and to investigate the relationship between education and anemia. Methods: A descriptive cross sectional study was conducted over a sample of 433 pregnant women. The Chi- square test has been used to assess the statistical significance of different risk factors with Hb% (Heamoglobin) of the respondent. The multiple logistic regression model was used to get the most significant risk factors of anemia. Results: The study shows that the most dominant risk factors of the anemia were age at the time of marriage at different age categories that are 16 - 20 (OR = 3.945) (OR Odds ratios) with 95% C-I (confidence interval) (0.294 to 52.985), 21 - 25 (OR = 2.316) with 95% C-I (0.192 to 27.932) and 26 - 30 (OR = 4.179) with 95% C-I (0.347 to 50.320). Education at different education levels that is illiterate (OR = 1.191) with 95% C-I (0.005 to 87.279) and primary (OR = 1.179) with 95% C-I (0.009 to 156.200). The so-calledPhiladelphia(Ph) chromosome is present in more than 90% of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) cases. It results in juxtaposition of the 5' part of the BCR gene on chromosome 22 and the 3' part of the ABL1 gene on chromosome 9. An additional acquired monosomy 7 or deletion of 7q is associated with poor prognosis in a variety of myeloid disorders. Here we report a novel Ph chromosome positive CML case with a ring chromosome 7 [r(7)]. Immunophenotyping was compatible with CML, although 4.5% of total leucocytes appeared like acute myelogeneous leukemia (AML) subtype M2. The r(7) was characterized in detail by array-proven multicolor banding (aMCB), the latter being of enormous significance to characterize breakpoint regions in detail. Underlying mechanisms and prognostic are discussed, as ring chromosomes are rare cytogenetic abnormalities in hematopoietic malignancies.

Introduction: Friedreich ataxia (FRDA) is a multi-system autosomal-recessive disease, the most common one of the genetically inherited ataxias. FRDA occurs as a consequence of mutations in the frataxin gene, with an expansion of a GAA trinucleotide. Ataxia with vitamin E deficiency (AVED) is characterized clinically by neurological symptoms with often striking resemblance to those of Friedreich’s ataxia (FA) but serum concentrations of vitamin E are low. Aim of study: To study clinical and genetic features of the Friedreich’s ataxia and AVED patients in 44 Moroccan families. Patients and Methods: Retrospective series of 72 Moroccan patients displaying Friedreich’s ataxia syndrome was recruited over a period of 22 years (1987-2009). All patients had a clinical and ophtalmological examinations, 30 patients underwent electromyography, and CT scan was performed in 29 patients. GAA repeats in the frataxin gene and the 744 del A mutation α-TTP gene were performed in all patients. Results: 17 patients (24% of cases) had the 744 del A mutation in the α-TTP gene responsible of ataxia with vitamin E deficiency (AVED) phenotype. 55 patients ?(76% of cases) had GAA expanded allele in the first intron of the frataxin gene. Phenotype-genotype correlation revealed a high frequency of head titubation, decreased visual acuity and slower disease progression in AVED than in Friedreich’s ataxia phenotype (p Our study represents a large series which highlight the clinical and genetic differences between AVED and Friedreich’s ataxia. AVED patients have a better prognosis after alpha-tocopherol treatment.

语言是文化的载体,是不同文化交流与传播的基石,在“一带一路”倡议中发挥着无比重要的作用。近几千年来,汉语言和汉文化凭借其源远流长的历史、博大精深的内涵与风格迥异的形式,影响着周边国家,向全世界展示了其独特的魅力与强大的传播态势。在新的时代背景下,汉语言文化在与世界各国交流中的作用日显突出,已经引起了全世界多国的重视,成为国家总体软实力中不可缺少的力量。作为一名来自也门的留学生,我深深感受到了中也两国间的友好协作日益加深,因而产生了写作本文的强烈愿望。本文首先对其他国家在“一带一路”背景下汉语言文化传播的研究和也门汉语言文化传播的研究进行了分析。其次,对也门汉语言文化传播的主要模式进行了概述,回顾了也门汉语言文化传播的历史,并分析了也门汉语言文化传播的主要模式。接下来,了解了也门高校开展汉语及文化教学的最新动态,调查了在也门教授汉语的相关院校的运行现状,探讨了“一带一路”背景下中也两国在政治和经济上的交流对汉语言文化传播的影响。然后分析了当前也门汉语言文化传播的情况、也门汉语言文化传播存在的问题及挑战。最后针对也门汉语言文化传播中发现的问题寻找出相对完善的解决办法并提出建设性的建议。希望能为中也两国关系重新定位、主动适应“一带一路”倡议建设提供借鉴和参考,为更深层次、高质量地推动汉语言文化在也门的传播、制定中也相关文化交流政策提供建议与参考。

Proper assessment of risk factors contributes to the principle management of differentiated thyroid carcinoma post operatively. Aim of the study: to investigate the effect of Thyroglobulin (Tg) levels on prognosis together with other risk factors for Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (DTC). Patients and methods: Medical records of all patients with DTC presented to Clinical Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Department referred from Diabetes & Endocrine unit (Internal Medicine Hospital) and Surgery Department Mansoura University from 2011-2016 were retrospectively reviewed. Patients with distant metastasis or who lost follow-up were excluded. So data of 220 patients were analyzed. Data collected included pre-surgical assessment, also surgical interference either total or near total thyroidectomy with or without lymph node neck dissection were reviewed. Different prognostic factors that affect progression free survival (PFS) include age, umorsize, ymph node status, ex, multifocality, capsular infiltration, vascular invasion and Tg level were evaluated through multivariate analysis. Results: Most of the patients included were <45 years (69.1%). Incidence of the disease was higher in female (80%) with papillary type predominance (80.9%). About 59.5% of cases presented with tumor size ≤ 2 cm and multifocality was reported in 13.6%. While 30% had lymph node metastasis, 11% had vascular invasion. Capsular infiltration was observed in 15% and most of them showed Tg level ≤ 10 ng/ml (68.2%). About 70% received ablative radioiodine. The 5-year Progression Free Survival (PFS) was 85%. On multivariate analysis of variable prognostic factors on PFS, we found that tumor size, age, lymph node status, capsular infiltration, Tg level and vascular invasion significantly affected PFS (P = 0.01, 0.005, 0.004, 0.005, 0.02, 0.003) respectively.
