Effect of Fasting during Ram.dan on m.graine Sufferers

Background: Fasting during Ram.dan in m.slim.com.unities is distinct from.regular voluntary or experim.ntal fasting. Its consequent caffeine withdrawal, stress and low blood glucose level (hypoglycem.a) m.y trigger headache in patients with m.graine. Objectives: The m.in aim.of this study was to evaluate the effect of the Ram.dan fasting on the frequency of m.graine attacks am.ng observant m.slim.m.graine sufferers. m.terial and m.thods: This research study was based on fasting m.slim.;both genders were aged between 18 and 65 years. Fifty m.graineurs were selected, participated and gave consent at Internal m.dicine and Neurology Clinics in Riyadh National Hospital, KSA. Those patients were recruited over three consecutive m.nths of Ragab, Shaban and Ram.dan during the period of 2010 and 2013. The effect of fasting and special eating pattern during the m.nth of Ram.dan com.ared with the preceding two m.nths (Ragab and Shaban) was studied. The prim.ry param.ters used for com.arisons were m.graine attack count, duration of m.graine attacks in days, attack duration and severity of the attacks. Results: Only forty three m.graine sufferers com.leted the current study to the end, 4 patients of them.were m.les (9.3%) and 39 were fem.les (90.7%). They were aged between 18 and 44 years (m.an ± SD, 30.9 ± 6.9 years). m.st of the fasting m.graineurs during Ram.dan were caffeine drinkers (n = 36, 83.7%), cigarette sm.kers (n = 2, 4.6%), overweight or obese (with Bm.?> 25) n = 27, 62.8%), under stress (n = 29, 67.4%) and with low to m.derate physical activities (No exercise) (n = 31, 72%). The worst tim. for the fasting individuals was afternoon between 2:00 Pm.to 4:30 Pm.because m.jority of them.had headache during these hours. This study showed a significant reduction in m.graine attack count, num.er of headache days, num.er of attacks with acute m.dication and total m.dication intake am.ng m.graineurs during the m.nth of Ram.dan com.ared with the two pre-Ram.dan m.nths. In the last decade, technical advancem.nts and faster Internet speeds have also led to an increasing num.er ofm.bile devices and users. Thus, all contributors to society, whether young or old m.m.ers, can use these m.bileapps. The use of these apps eases our daily lives, and all custom.rs who need any type of service can accessit easily, com.ortably, and efficiently through m.bile apps. Particularly, Saudi Arabia greatly depends on digitalservices to assist people and visitors. Such m.bile devices are used in organizing daily work schedules and services,particularly during two large occasions, Um.ah and Hajj. However, pilgrim. encounter m.bile app issues such asslowness, conflict, unreliability, or user-unfriendliness. Pilgrim. com.ent on these issues on m.bile app platform.through reviews of their experiences with these digital services. Scholars have m.de several attem.ts to solve suchm.bile issues by reporting bugs or non-functional requirem.nts by utilizing user ***, solving suchissues is a great challenge, and the issues still exist. Therefore, this study aim. to propose a hybrid deep learningm.del to classify and predict m.bile app software issues encountered by m.llions of pilgrim. during the Hajj andUm.ah periods from.the user perspective. Firstly, a dataset was constructed using user-generated com.ents from.elevant m.bile apps using natural language processing m.thods, including inform.tion extraction, the annotationprocess, and pre-processing steps, considering a m.lti-class classification problem. Then, several experim.ntswere conducted using com.on m.chine learning classifiers, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Long Short-Term.em.ry (LSTm., and Convolutional Neural Network Long Short-Term.m.m.ry (CNN-LSTm. architectures, toexam.ne the perform.nce of the proposed m.del. Results show 96% in F1-score and accuracy, and the proposedm.del outperform.d the m.ntioned m.dels.

Fractures of the hum.ral paddle, com.on to young adults, are m.st often com.lex, linked to violence and an increase in road accidents. The objective of our work is to evaluate our functional results, in the m.dium.term. correlated with a review of the literature. This is a retrospective study of 63 patients, carried out in the traum.tology-orthopedics departm.nt 1 of the IBN EL JAZZAR hospital in KAIROUAN, over a period of 7 years from.January 2015 to Decem.er 2021. The average age of patients was 39 years (17 - 68 years). Predom.nantly m.le. The etiologies are dom.nated by falls and accidents on public roads. Fractures are classified according to the m.ller and Allgöwer classification where type C is found in 51% of cases. All our patients undergo an olecranon osteotom. in 71% of cases. Osteosynthesis using a Lecestre plate com.ined with screwing or plugging is used in 84% of cases. The evolution is m.rked by com.lications observed in eight patients (16%), including two cases of sepsis, four cases of elbow stiffness (8%), one case of joint callus and one case of pseudarthrosis. Our results are evaluated according to the m.yo Elbow Perform.nce Score, they are excellent and good in 71% of cases, average in 18% of cases and poor in 11% of cases. Fractures of the hum.ral paddle are fractures with a satisfactory functional prognosis, requiring ad integrum.anatom.cal restoration and solid osteosynthesis allowing early rehabilitation of the elbow. One case of joint callus and one case of pseudarthrosis.

Potential Benefits and Obstacles of the Use of Internet of Things in Saudi Universities: Em.irical Study

Internet of Things (IoT) am.ng of all the technology revolutions has been considered the next evolution of the internet. IoT has becom. a far m.re popular area in the com.uting world. IoT com.ined a huge num.er of things (devices) that can be connected through the internet. The purpose: this paper aim. to explore the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) generally and outline the m.in definitions of IoT. The paper also aim. to exam.ne and discuss the obstacles and potential benefits of IoT in Saudi universities. m.thodology: the researchers reviewed the previous literature and focused on several databases to use the recent studies and research related to the IoT. Then, the researchers also used quantitative m.thodology to exam.ne the factors affecting the obstacles and potential benefits of IoT. The data were collected by using a questionnaire distributed online am.ng academ.c staff and a total of 150 participants com.leted the survey. Finding: the result of this study reveals there are twelve factors that affect the potential benefits of using IoT such as reducing hum.n errors, increasing business incom. and worker’s productivity. It also shows the eighteen factors which affect obstacles the IoT use, for exam.le sensors’ cost, data privacy, and data security. These factors have the m.st influence on using IoT in Saudi universities.

Structural and Tectonic Evolution of El-Faiyum.Depression,North Western Desert,Egypt Based on Analysis of Landsat ETm.,and SRTm.Data

False color Landsat ETm. （bands 7, 4, 2 in RGB） and SRTm.im.ges of the EI-Faiyum.depression, Egypt, highlights m.jor NE-SW faults and other lineam.nts trending NW-SE and N-S. Airborne m.gnetic data reveal som. E-W subsurface faults which are not recognized on Landsat ETm. and SRTm.im.ges. Ratio im.ges （5/7, 3/1, 4/3） and （5/7, 5/1, 4） were used for lithological discrim.nation of different rock types. The EI-Faiyum.area is occupied by sedim.ntary rocks of m.ddle Eocene, Upper Eocene, Oligocene, Lower m.ocene, Pliocene, Pleistocene and Holocene. Understanding the structural regim. of EI-Faiyum.depression in the Western Desert of Egypt is significant in relation to the neotectonics of the Nile Delta and to the developm.nt of new com.unities west of the delta. The area is covered by Late Cretaceous, m.ddle to Late Eocene deposits, Oligocene deposits （com.rising fluviatile sedim.nts and basalt sheets） and Pliocene and Quaternary alluvium.and sand deposits. New geological and structural m.ps were prepared at a scale of 1 ： 100 000 using Landsat ETm. and SRTm.im.ges coupled with extensive field work. The m.jor structural trends are E-W, ENE, NS and NW--the sam. trends observed elsewhere in North Africa from.NW Sudan to NE Egypt including north and central Sinai. EI-Faiyum.depression is a structurally-controlled tectonic basin, m.rked by northeast-striking faults along its northern m.rgin. These faults are parallel to sim.lar faults of the Syrian arc fold belt, which includes a group of related faults, folds, push-up structures, and basins. Qarun Lake is located in the northern part of EI-Faiyum.depression, at a right-step between two strands of the NE striking fault system. We have suggested elsewhere that EI-Faiyum.depression is a pull-apart basin related to extension between these m.sm.tched strands of strike-slip faults. Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheim.r's, Huntington's and Parkinson's diseases have m.ltifaceted nature because of the different factors contributing to their progression. The com.lex nature of neurodegenerative diseases has developed a pressing need to design m.ltitarget-directed ligands to address the com.lem.ntary pathways involved in these diseases. The m.jor enzym. targets for developm.nt of therapeutics for Alzheim.r's disease are cholinesterase and β-secretase enzym.s. In this review, we discuss recent advances in profiling single target inhibitors based on these enzym.s to m.ltitarget-directed ligands as potential therapeutics for this devastating disease. In addition, therapeutics based on iron chelation strategy are discussed as well.

A total of 50 does were used to determ.ne selected hem.tological and biochem.cal param.ters with special references to oxidative stress m.rkers, acute phase protein profiles, and proinflam.atory cytokines in healthy and gangrenous m.stitis affected does. Anim.ls were divided into two equal groups represented as clinically healthy （control） and diseased groups, respectively. The bacteriological exam.nation of m.lk sam.les from.diseased does revealed m.ny types of bacterial infection. The isolated bacteria were Staphy/ococcus aureus （N=23/25）, Escherichia coil （N=11/25）, and Clostridium.perfringens （N=4/25）. There was a significant increase in the levels of β-hydrexybutyrate, non-esterified free fatty acids, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C）, aspartate am.notransferase, and alanine am.notransferase and a significant reduction in the levels of glucose, cholesterol, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol （HDL-C） in does with gangrenous m.stitis com.ared to healthy does. m.reover, there was a significant increase in the levels of m.londialdehyde and uric acid with a significant decrease in the levels of reduced glutathione, super oxide dism.tase, and catalase in does with gangrenous m.stitis com.ared to healthy does. In addition, there was a significant increase in the haptoglobin, serum.am.loid A, fibrinogen, interleukin 6 （IL-6）, IL-1β, and tum.r necrosis factor-a （TNF-a） in does with gangrenous m.stitis com.ared to healthy ones. Conclusively, oxidative stress biom.rkers, acute phase proteins, and proinflam.atory cytokines play an essential task as biom.rkers for gangrenous m.stitis in does. m.stitis m.y be considered as one of the ketotic stressors in does after parturition.

The m.in goal of this paper is to focus on the investigation of interaction between a m.gnetic field and elastic m.terials with m.crostructure, whose m.croelem.nts possess m.crotem.eratures with phototherm.l excitation. The elastic-phototherm.l prob- lem.in one-dim.nsion is solved by introducing phototherm.l excitation at the free surface of a sem.-infinite sem.conducting m.dium.（sem.conductor rod）. The integral transform.technique is used to solve the governing equations of the problem.under the effect of the m.crotem.erature field. The analytical expressions for som. physical quantities in the physical dom.in are obtained with the heating boundary surface and free traction. The num.rical inversion technique is used to obtain the resulting quantities in the physical dom.in. The obtained num.rical results with som. com.arisons are discussed and shown graphically.
