Spatiotemporal characteristics and driving mechanisms of land use/land cover(LULC)changes in the Jinghe River Basin,China

Understanding the trajectories and driving mechanisms behind land use/land cover(LULC)changes is essential for effective watershed planning and *** study quantified the net change,exchange,total change,and transfer rate of LULC in the Jinghe River Basin(JRB),China using LULC data from 2000 to *** trajectory analysis,knowledge maps,chord diagrams,and standard deviation ellipse method,we examined the spatiotemporal characteristics of LULC *** further established an index system encompassing natural factors(digital elevation model(DEM),slope,aspect,and curvature),socio-economic factors(gross domestic product(gDP)and population),and accessibility factors(distance from railways,distance from highways,distance from water,and distance from residents)to investigate the driving mechanisms of LULC changes using factor detector and interaction detector in the geographical detector(geodetector).The key findings indicate that from 2000 to 2020,the JRB experienced significant LULC changes,particularly for farmland,forest,and *** the study period,LULC change trajectories were categorized into stable,early-stage,late-stage,repeated,and continuous change *** the stable change type,the late-stage change type predominated the LULC change trajectories,comprising 83.31% of the total change *** period 2010-2020 witnessed more active LULC changes compared to the period *** LULC changes exhibited a discrete spatial expansion trend during 2000-2020,predominantly extending from southeast to northwest of the *** driving factors on LULC changes included slope,gDP,and distance from *** interaction detection results imply either bilinear or nonlinear enhancement for any two driving factors impacting the LULC changes from 2000 to *** comprehensive understanding of the spatiotemporal characteristics and driving mechanisms of LULC changes offers valuable insights for the planning and sustainable management

Urea plays a vital role in the sustainable development of mankind as it is one of the most important nitrogen *** synthesis of urea is accompanied by a high level of energy consumption while electrocatalytic methods suffer from low yields and poor *** work achieves efficient synthesis of urea by designing the graphene-In_(2)O_(3)electrocatalysts for the co-activated reduction of nitrate and carbon dioxide,where the formation rate of urea,Faraday efficiency(FE)and carbon selectivity at-0.35 V *** can reach 357.47μg mg^(-1)h^(-1),10.46%and~100%,***,the key intermediates in the C–N coupling reaction are demonstrated to be*NH_(2)and*CO_(2),which is of novelty compared to previous *** work may provide inspiration for subsequent studies on the reaction mechanism of the electrochemical synthesis of urea,as well as theoretical guidance for the sustainable synthesis of some other important chemical substances.

Red algal evidence for a marine regression during closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean in the Junggar Basin and its linkage to hydrocarbon generation

The closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean was a significant geological event in northern Pangea during the *** had a significant effect on climate,biota,and environmental conditions of the Late Paleozoic Ice Age,and resulted in the development of vast energy *** paper reports on the first discovery of marine red algal fossils in the Junggar Basin and its linkage to hydrocarbon *** algae occur mainly in the Fengcheng Formation(ca.300 Ma)and provide direct fossil evidence for closure of the Paleo-Asian *** red algal fossils contain well-preserved reproductive organs,such as cystocarps and *** concentrations of C_(27) steranes(C_(27) regular steranes/sum of C_(27)-C_(29) regular steranes×100=14.30%-21.30%)and the marine biomarker 24-n-propylcholesterane(C_(30) diasterane[βα20S]/sum of C_(27)-C_(30) diasteranes[βα20S]×100=1.15%-1.85%)were detected in the red-algae-bearing hydrocarbon source *** experiments that simulate hydrocarbon generation show that the oil generation potential of the red-algae-bearing source rocks is 363.71 mg g^(-1) total organic *** result,combined with oil-source rock correlations,indicates these rocks contributed to the formation of oil and gas resources,particularly in the marginal areas of the *** lake basin inherited the water and biological conditions of the Paleo-Asian Ocean during a marine regression,which was an important factor in the development of these high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks in an alkaline saline *** results advance our understanding of the evolution of the Paleo-Asian Ocean,interactions between the ocean and a lake during the deposition of terrestrial hydrocarbon source rocks,and whether red algae can effectively generate hydrocarbons.

An improved installation of 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzyl(iHmb)method for chemical protein synthesis

The 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzyl(Hmb)backbone modification can prevent amide bond-mediated sidereactions(e.g.,aspartimide formation,peptide aggregation)by installing the removable Hmb group into a peptide bond,thus improving the synthesis of long and challenging peptides and ***,its use is largely precluded by the limited Hmb’s installation *** this report,an improved installation of Hmb(iHmb)method was developed to achieve the flexible installation and the convenient removal of *** iHmb method involves two critical steps:(1)oxidative diazotization of the readily installed 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-5-amino-benzyl(Hmab)to give 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-5-diazonium-benzyl(Hmdab)by combining soamyl nitrite(IAN)/HBF_(4),and(2)reductive elimination of Hmdab to give the desired Hmb by 1,2-ethanedithiol(EDT).The iHmb method enables the installation of Hmb at any primary amino acid including the highly sterically hindered amino acids(e.g.,valine and isoleucine).The practicality and utility of the iHmb method was demonstrated by one-shot solid-phase synthesis of a challenging aspartimide-prone peptide,the mirror-image version of a hydrophobic peptide and a long-chain peptide up to ***,the iHmb method can be utilized to facilitate chemical protein ligation,as exemplified by the synthesis of the single-spanning membrane protein *** iHmb method expands the toolkit for peptide synthesis and ligation and facilitates the preparation of peptides/proteins.

In recent years,multicolor cascade supramolecular assemblies with controllable topological morphology have become a research hotspot due to their wide application in light-emitting materials,cell imaging and other ***,several kinds of macrocycles including cucurbiturils,calixarene and cyclodextrins are used as building blocks to construct fluorescent assemblies with anthryl-conjugated phenylpyridine(g),wherein cucurbit[8]uril(CB[8])and g can form nanowires at a stoichiometric ratio of n:n through host-guest encapsulation to form a non-covalent ***,the macrocycle confinement effect drastically enhances the fluorescence emission of g and emission peak generated bathochromic shift from 500 nm to 600 *** the supramolecular polymer is further assembled with amphiphilic calix[4]arene(SC_(4)A8),the fluorescence emission of g?CB[8]further increases to 1.4 times,accompanied by the morphological transformation from linear structure to nanorod ***,a very small amount of dye Cy5 is added to the assembly solution as an energy receptor,and the negatively charged g?CB[8]@SC_(4)A8 system is regarded as an energy *** efficient energy transfer process enables near-infrared(NIR)emission at 675 nm with 71%energy transfer efficiency(ΦET)at a donor/receptor ratio of 100:***,the cascade supramolecular assembly has been successfully applied to targeted imaging in the nucleus of HeLa and A549 cancer cells.

A Bibliometric Analysis Unveils Valuable Insights into the Past,Present,and Future Dynamics of Plant Acclimation to Temperature

Predictive factors for percutaneous nephrolithotomy bleeding risks

Objective:This study aimed to identify predictive factors for percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL)bleeding *** better risk stratification,bleeding in high-risk patient can be anticipated and facilitates early ***:A prospective observational study of PCNL performed at our institution was *** adults with radio-opaque renal stones planned for PCNL were included except those with coagulopathy,planned for additional *** including gender,co-morbidities,body mass index,stone burden,puncture site,tract dilatation size,operative position,surgeon's seniority,and operative duration were studied using stepwise multivariate regression analysis to identify the predictive factors associated with higher estimated hemoglobin(Hb)***:Overall,4.86%patients(n=7)received packed cells *** mean estimated Hb deficiency was 1.3(range 0-6.5)g/dL and the median was 1.0 g/*** multivariate regression analysis revealed that absence of hypertension(p=0.024),puncture site(p=0.027),and operative duration(p=0.023)were significantly associated with higher estimated Hb ***,the effect sizes are rather small with partial eta-squared of 0.037,0.066,and 0.038,*** power obtained was 0.621,0.722,and 0.625,*** factors studied did not correlate with Hb ***:Hypertension,puncture site,and operative duration have significant impact on estimated Hb deficiency during ***,the effect size is rather small despite adequate study power ***,operative position(supine or prone),puncture number,or tract dilatation size did not correlate with Hb *** mainstay of reducing bleeding in PCNL is still meticulous operative *** study findings also suggest that PCNL can be safely done by urology trainees under supervision in suitably selected patient,without increasing risk of bleeding.

Effect of Artificial Electric Field Surface by wave-Driven Triboelectricity on Anti-Bioadhesion for Riser Protection

Biofouling has been a persistent problem in marine riser system, resulting in energy waste and equipment damage. Inthis study, a kind of water wave-driven contact-mode flexible triboelectric nanogeneration has been prepared byusing graphene-doped PDMS as dielectric friction material. When the graphene content is 2%, the average outputvoltage can reach 46 V under the contact frequency 10 Hz. The flexible triboelectric nanogeneration encapsulationmodule is impinged by water waves to generate alternating microelectric field on the riser surface and destroy theadhesion conditions of microorganisms during the biofilm stage. In the biofouling experiments at different stages, thebiofouling area of the platymonas subcordiformis has been reduced by 53%, 62% and 61%. It provides a new ideafor effective treatment of biofouling of mussels, oysters and barnacles attached to risers.
