Huayouza 6, a new semi-winter Brassica napus variety with high-yield, good quality, prematufity and extensive adaptability, was derived from the cross between the female parent 8086A and male parent 7-5. Two cDNA-based Arabidopisis microarray were used to analyze gene differential expression in bud of an elite *** hybrid Huayouza6 and its parents, in which there were 83 over-expression transcripts and 331 under-expression transcripts between Huayouza 6 and its female parent 8086A and 94 over-expression transcripts, and 423 under-expression transcripts were demonstrated between Huayouza 6 and its male parent 7-5. Further analysis showed that there were significant number of genes responsible for photosynthesis, and its implication for heterosis was discussed. Northern analysis of phosphoribulokinase coincided with its expression pattern derived from hybridization of Arabidopsis cDNA microarray and B. napus mRNA, this system of heterologous hybridization analysis should be applicable to other close relatives of Arabidopsis thaliana.

Low molecular weight heparin microcapsule coated occluder for atrial-septal defects

Background Whether the low molecular weight heparin microcapsule coated occluder is helpful to endothelialization in atrial-septal defect models is uncertain. This study aimed to investigate the best conditions for low molecular weight heparin coated NiTi alloy occluder and provide the evidence of the efficacy and safety of atrial-septal defect occluders in vivo. Methods Low molecular weight heparin microcapsules were investigated using gelatin as microcapsule material. The prepared low molecular weight heparin gelatin particles were subjected to nickel and titanium alloy occluder coating by sodium hyaluronate. A dog model of atrial septal defects was established after treatment with low molecular weight heparin microcapsule coated occluder （n=4） and uncoated occluder （n=4）. Endotheliocytes and fibroblastic cells in occluders were observed. And the rate of endothelialization was detected. Results When the concentration of gelatin was 1%, the diameters of particles were mostly about 100 μm, and the particle size was uniform. The envelope efficiency of low molecular weight heparin microcapsule was about 80%. The endothelialization of occluder in the model was more obvious in the coated group than in the uncoated group （P 〈0.0001）. Conclusions Low molecular weight heparin can be prepared into microcapsules with their particle size in nanometric grade. The antithrombotic properties are kept in the nickel and titanium alloy occluder successfully coated with sodium hyaluronate. The endothelialization after the interventional occlusion in the coated group is obvious, indicating that low molecular weight heparin is helpful to the growth of endothelial cells in the occlude and the healing after the interventional occlusion.

Caprine arthritis-encephalitis virus(CAEV) is an under-studied virus infecting caprines and ovines worldwide. Over the last four decades, CAEV has spread in China, obtaining genomic data on CAEV strains circulating in China is of importance for developing diagnostic methods and eradicating associated diseases. However, there is limited information on the genome, including characterizations, and the probable origin. This work aimed to characterize Chinese CAEV genomes and population structures. Five CAEV strains isolated from infected dairy goats between 1989and 1994 in Gansu, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Shandong and Sichuan provinces were cloned and sequenced. The Chinese CAEV had a 58–93% genome similarities to strains outside of China, and they belonged to subgenotype B1. The highest similarity levels(98.3–99.3%) were with two other Chinese strains, and they shared a 91.8–92.3% similarity with the strain Clements(GenBank accession no. NC_001463.1) from outside of China. The Chinese CAEV strains isolated from different provinces over five years were still highly homologous and contained unique ancestral population components,indicating that these Chinese strains had a common origin that differed from other known strains. Our results provide genomic data on circulating Chinese CAEV strains and will be useful for future epidemiological investigations and CAEV eradication programs.

Efficacy and safety of induction therapy with alemtuzumab in kidney transplantation： a meta-analysis

Background Alemtuzumab, a humanized CD52 monoclonal antibody, with its profound lymphocyte depletion property, was expected to be a promising induction therapy agent for kidney transplantation （KTx）. However, currently no consensus is available about its efficacy and safety. The aim of this meta-analysis was to make a profound review and an objective appraisal of this issue. Methods Relevant papers were searched, essentially in the PubMed database and the Cochrane library. After a thorough review, randomized controlled trials （RCTs） comparing the outcome of KTx using alemtuzumab induction therapy （test group） with a control group were collected according to the inclusion criteria. Data of general characteristic of studies and major outcomes of Ktx were extracted and meta-analyses were performed with RevMan 4.2 software. The odds ratio （OR） with a 95% confidence intervals （Co was the principle measurement of effect. Results Five RCTs were included. The chi square test showed no significant between-study heterogeneity, thus fixed effect model was employed. Sub-group analysis with studies including alemtuzumab induction followed by a tacrolimus-based immunosuppressive regimen showed that the acute rejection rate （ARR） was lower relative to the control （OR=0.59, 95% CI 0.34-1.01, P=0.05）. However, meta-analysis with all included studies revealed that neither ARR nor patient/graff survival rates differ significantly between the test and the control group, but the cytomegalovirus （CMV） infection rate was higher in the test group （OR 2.50, 95% CI 1.22-5.12, P=0.01）. A great number of the test group recipients safely remained on a regimen that was steroid-free and with a reduced dose of conventional immunosuppressive drugs. Conclusions Alemtuzumab induction therapy for KTx was an effective and safe protocol in the tested follow-up period. Background： Peri-strut low-intensity area （PLIA） is a typical image pattern ofneointima detected by optical coherence tomography （OCT） after stent implantation. However, few studies evaluated the predictors and prognosis of the PLIA; therefore, we aimed to explore the genesis and prognosis of PLIA detected by OCT in this study.Methods： Patients presenting neointimal hyperplasia documented by OCT reexamination after percutaneous coronary intervention were prospectively included from 2009 to 2011. Peri-strut intensity was analyzed and classified into two patterns： Low-intensity and high-intensity. Clinical characteristics were analyzed to assess their contribution to peri-strut intensity patterns. Follow-up were performed in patients who did not receive revascularization during OCT reexamination, and the prognosis of the patients was evaluated.Results： There were 128 patients underwent OCT reexamination after stent implantation included in the study. PLIA was detected in 22 （17.2%） patients. The incidence of PLIA was positively correlated with serum triglyceride （odds ratio [OR]： 2.11, 95% confidence interval [CI]： 1.14-3.90, P = 0.017）, low-density lipoprotein （OR： 2.61, 95% CI： 1.22-5.66, P = 0.015）, history of cerebrovascular disease （OR： 101.11, 95% CI： 6.54-1562.13, P 〈 0.001）, and initial clinical presentation of acute coronary syndrome （ACS, OR： 18.77, 95% CI： 2.73-128.83, P = 0.003） while negatively correlated with stent implantation time （OR： 0.57, 95% CI： 0.33-0.98, P = 0.043）. The median follow-up was longer than 3.8 years. Major adverse cardiovascular events （MACEs） occurred in 7 （7.3%） patients while showed no correlation with PLIA. A total of 17 （17.7%） patients experienced unstable angina （UA） and showed significant correlation with PLIA （hazard ratio： 6.16, 95% CI： 1.25-30.33, P = 0.025）.Conclusions： PLIA detected by OCT was positively correlated with higher serum lipid level, history ofcerebrovascular disease and initial presentation of ACS, and

Background The association between fish consumption and heart failure （HF） incidence is inconsistent. Methods We performed a systematic search of Pubmed and Embase （from 1953 to June 2012） using key words related to fish and HF. Studies with at least three categories of fish consumption reporting both relative risk （RR） and corresponding 95% confidence interval （CI） for HF incidence were included. The pooled RR and 95%C/were calculated using a fixed or random-effects model. The generalized least squares regression model was used to quantify the dose-response relationship between fish consumption and HF incidence. Results Five prospective cohort studies including 4750 HF events of 170 231 participants with an average of 9.7-year follow-up were selected and identified. Compared with those who never ate fish, individuals with higher fish consumption had a lower HF incidence. The pooled RRs for HF incidence was 0.99 （95%CI, 0.91 to 1.08） for fish consumption 1 to 3 times per month, 0.91 （95%CI, 0.84 to 0,99） for once a week, 0.87 （95%CI, 0.81 to 0.95） for 2 to 4 times per week, and 0.86 （95% CI, 0.84 to 0.99） for 5 or more times per week. An increment of 20 g of daily fish intake was related to a 6% lower risk of HF （RR： 0.94, 95% CI, 0.90 to 0.97; P for trend = 0.001）. Conclusions This meta-analysis suggests that there is a dose-dependent inverse relationship between fish consumption and HF incidence. Fish intake once or more times a week could reduce HF incidence.
