The Scheduling of the Multi-EOSs Area Target Observation(SMEATO)is an EOS resource schedul-ing problem highly coupled with computational *** advances in EOS technology and the ex-pansion of wide-area remote sensing applications have increased the practical significance of *** this paper,an adaptive local grid nesting-based genetic algorithm(ALGN-GA)is proposed for developing SMEATO ***,a local grid nesting(LGN)strategy is designed to discretize the target area into parts,so as to avoid the explosive growth of calculations.A genetic algorithm(GA)framework is then used to share reserve information for the population during iterative evolution,which can generate high-quality solutions with low computational *** this basis,an adaptive technique is introduced to determine whether a local region requires nesting and whether the grid scale is *** effectiveness of the proposed model is assessed experimentally with nine randomly generated tests at different *** results show that the ALGN-GA offers advantages over several conventional algorithms in 88.9%of instances,especially in large-scale *** fully demonstrate the high efficiency and stability of the ALGN-GA.

Numerical Analysis on Charging Performance of the Macro-Encapsulating Combined Sensible-Latent Heat Storage System with Structural Parameters

For combined sensible-latent heat storage system(CSLHS)(termed as the hybrid configuration),macro encapsulation can effectively solve the leakage problem of ***,due to the poor thermal conductivity of PCMs,the charging performance of the hybrid configuration slightly increases compared to the solid structure(with only sensible materials).Meanwhile,the natural convection in the PCMs zone could improve the charging ***,how to improve natural convection intensity is a key issue for the CSLHS by macro *** is found that adding fins can significantly enhance natural convection and accelerate the melting of *** this paper,we proposed the hybrid configuration with fins built-in by macro encapsulation,and analyzed its charging performance with different fin structural parameters in the PCM zone by CFD *** the case,the sensible heat storage material is high-temperature concrete and the PCM is a low-melting-point mixed molten *** analyzed the effects of fin number,fin length and fin thickness on the charging performance of the hybrid configuration *** the result,the charging performance increases with the fin number,but the increase rate gradually *** the fin number is 6,the charging performance increases by 20.18%compared to the situation without *** charging performance increases gradually with the fin *** with the hybrid configuration without fin,for each 10 mm increase in fin length,its charging performances increase by 4.09%,5.26%,7.02%,8.77%,11.70%,and 15.79%,*** from number and length of fins,the effect of thickness on the charging performance is very *** the fin thickness increased from 1 mm to 4 mm,the charging performance only increased by 2.3%.It indicates that the main reason for the improving the charging performance is to increase the natural convection intensity by dividing the PCM zone through *** results show that the charging performance

The microphases and miscibility in binary curcumin(Cur)solid dispersions(SDs)with amorphous polyvinylpyrrolidone K30(PVP K30)and semi-crystalline poloxamer(P407)and poly(ethylene glycol)6000(PEG6000)as carriers were investigated by fluorescence contrasting utilizing confocal laser scanning microscopy.A super sensitive fluorophore P4 with typical aggregation-caused quenching properties was employed to stain the continuous polymer phases and contrasted with the autofluorescence of the model drug *** addition,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD)were utilized to assist in explanation of the fluorescence *** all three SD systems,there is always a homogenous polymer phase stained by P4 and it is difficult to adulterate Cur crystals by ***-enriched rather than polymer-enriched domains could be *** the Cur-PVP K30 system,Cur exists in an amorphous form at a Cur loading level of 50%and below,while Cur crystallines phase out and continuously grow with the increase of Cur loading from 60%to 90%.The phase behaviors in the Cur-P407 and Cur-PEG 6000 systems are similar but with minor *** both systems,Cur phases out as clusters of drug-enriched domains at a loading level of 20%and below,which however cannot be correlated with crystallization,as evidenced by both DSC and *** is a transition from an amorphous to a crystalline state from 20%to 30%Cur loading,above which Cur crystallines can be *** is interesting that a co-mix phase of both Cur-and PEG 6000-enriched domains can be identified at Cur loading levels of 10%and *** together,it is concluded that contrasting Cur autofluorescence with the signals of P4 proves to be a functional strategy to reveal multiple phases in the binary SD systems investigated.

SWG: an architecture for sparse weight gradient computation

On-device training for deep neural networks(DNN) has become a trend due to various user preferences and scenarios. The DNN training process consists of three phases, feedforward(FF), backpropagation(BP), and weight gradient(WG) update. WG takes about one-third of the computation in the whole training process. Current training accelerators usually ignore the special computation property of WG and process it in a way similar to FF/BP. Besides, the extensive data sparsity existing in WG, which brings opportunities to save computation, is not well explored. Nevertheless, exploiting the optimization opportunities would meet three underutilization problems, which are caused by(1) the mismatch between WG data dimensions and hardware parallelism,(2) the full sparsity, i.e., the sparsity of feature map(Fmap),error map(Emap), and gradient, and(3) the workload imbalance resulting from irregular sparsity. In this paper, we propose a specific architecture for sparse weight gradient(SWG) computation. The architecture is designed based on hierarchical unrolling and sparsity-aware(HUSA) dataflow to exploit the optimization opportunities of the special computation property and full data sparsity. In HUSA dataflow, the data dimensions are unrolled hierarchically on the hardware architecture. A valid-data trace(VDT) mechanism is embedded in the dataflow to avoid the underutilization caused by the two-sided input sparsity. The gradient is unrolled in PE to alleviate the underutilization induced by output sparsity while maintaining the data reuse opportunities. Besides, we design an intra-and inter-column balancer(IIBLC) to dynamically tackle the workload imbalance problem resulting from the irregular sparsity. Experimental results show that with HUSA dataflow exploiting the full sparsity, SWG achieves a speedup of 12.23× over state-of-the-art gradient computation architecture, Train Ware. We study superradiant phase transitions in a hybrid system of a two-dimensional Bose–Einstein condensate of atoms and two cavities arranged with a tilt *** adjusting the loss rate of cavities,we map out the phase diagram of steady states within a mean field *** is found that when the loss rates of the two cavities are different,superradiant transitions may not occur at the same time in the two cavities.A first-order phase transition is observed between the states with only one cavity in superradiance and both in *** the case that both cavities are superradiant,a net photon current is observed flowing from the cavity with small decay rate to the one with large decay *** photon current shows a non-monotonic dependence on the loss rate difference,owing to the competition of photon number difference and cavity field phase *** findings can be realized and detected in experiments.

Enhanced nitrate removal from groundwater using a conductive spacer in flow-electrode capacitive deionization

Flow-electrode capacitive deionization(FCDI)represents a promising approach for ion separation from aqueous ***,the optimization of spacer,particularly for nitrate-contaminated groundwa-ter systems,has often been *** research comprehensively investigates the influence of using a conductive(carbon cloth,CC)spacer on nitrate removal performance within FCDI system,comparing it to a non-conductive(nylon net,NN)*** both CC and NN FCDI systems,it is unsurprisingly that nitrate removal efficiency improved notably with the increasing current density and hydraulic retention time(HRT).Interestingly,the specific energy consumption(SEC)for nitrate removal did not show obvious fluctuations when the current density and HRT varied in both *** the auspiciously optimized process parameters,CC-FCDI attained a 20%superior nitrate removal efficiency relative to NN-FCDI,ac-companied by a notably diminished SEC for CC-FCDI,registering at a mere 28%of *** great improvement can be primarily attributed to the decrement in FCDI internal resistance after using con-ductive spacer,which further confirmed by electrochemical tests such as linear sweep voltammetry(LSV)and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).Upon prolonged continuous nitrate removal at the optimized conditions,the CC-FCDI system achieved a consistent 90%nitrate removal efficiency with a low SEC of 2.7-7.8 kWh/kg NO_(3)-N,underscoring its steady ***,this study highlights the pivotal importance of careful spacer design and optimization in realizing energy-efficient groundwater treatment via FCDI.
