Method for determining the position of landslide slip-surface with a typical inclinometric curves

In the actual monitoring of deep hole displacement,the identification of slip surfaces is primarily based on abrupt changes observed in the inclinometric *** conventional identification methods,inclinometric curves exhibiting indications of sliding can be categorized into three types:B-type,D-type,and *** position of the slip surface is typically determined by identifying the depth corresponding to the point of maximum displacement ***,this method is sensitive to the interval of measurement points and the observation scale of the coordinate axes and suffers from unclear sliding surfaces and uncertain *** on the variation characteristics of these diagonal curves,we classified the landslide into three components:the sliding body,the sliding interval,and the immobile ***,three different generalization models were established to analyze the relationships between the curve form and the slip surface location based on different physical indicators such as displacement rate,relative displacement,and *** results show that the displacement rate curves of an r-type slope exhibit a clustering feature in the sliding interval,and by solving for the depth of discrete points within the step phase,it is possible to determine the location of the slip *** the other hand,D-type slopes have inflection points in the relative displacement curve located at the slip *** acceleration curves of B-type slopes exhibit clustering characteristics during the sliding interval,while the scattered acceleration data demonstrate wandering ***,the slip surface location can be revealed by solving the depth corresponding to the maximum acceleration with cubic spline *** approach proposed in this paper was applied to the monitoring data of a landslide in Yunnan Province,*** results indicate that our approach can accurately identify the slip surface location and enable computability of its po

Shaking table test for reinforcement of soil slope with multiple sliding surfaces by reinforced double-row anti-slide piles

Despite the continuous advancements of engineering construction in high-intensity areas,many engineering landslides are still manufactured with huge thrust force,and double-row piles are effective to control such large *** this study,large shaking table test were performed to test and obtain multi-attribute seismic data such as feature image,acceleration,and dynamic soil *** the feature image processing analysis,the deformation characteristics for the slope reinforced by double-row piles were *** analyzing the acceleration and the dynamic soil pressure time domain,the spatial dynamic response characteristics were *** Fast Fourier Transform and half-power bandwidth,the damping ratio of acceleration and dynamic soil pressure was *** that,the Seism Signal was used to calculate the spectral displacement of the accelerations to obtain the regional differences of spectral *** results showed that the overall deformation mechanism of the slope originates from tension failure in the soil *** platform at the back of the slope was caused by seismic subsidence,and the peak acceleration ratio was positively correlated with the relative pile *** dynamic soil pressure of the front row piles showed an inverted"K"-shaped distribution,but that of the back row piles showed an"S"-shaped *** predominant frequency of acceleration was 2.16 Hz,and the main frequency band was 0.7-6.87 Hz;for dynamic soil pressure,the two parameters became 1.15 Hz and 0.5-6.59 Hz,*** conclusion,dynamic soil pressure was more sensitive to dampening effects than ***,compared to acceleration,dynamic soil pressure exhibited larger loss factors and lower resonance ***,back row pile heads were highly sensitive to spectral displacement compared to front row pile *** findings may be of reference value for future seismic designs of double-row piles.

Stress response characteristics of BFRP anchors on loess mudstone slope under rainfall conditions

To investigate the stress response characteristics and shear stress transfer mechanism of BFRP(basalt fiber reinforced plastics)anchors under rainfall conditions and to explore the reinforcement effect of BFRP anchors,a comparative indoor physical model test was conducted in this study using loess mudstone slope as a typical case,and multi-attribute response data,such as slope displacement,BFRP anchor strain and axial force,were *** on the variation law of slope displacement,it can be concluded that the deformation displacement of the slope on the side reinforced by BFRP anchors is smaller than that of slopes reinforced with steel anchors;the bearing capacity of BFRP anchor is given priority in time,and the anchoring effect of BFRP anchor at the top of the slope is given priority,and the axial force value of anchor is characterized by a surface amplification effect in space;the axial force is higher around the anchor head and tends to decay as a negative exponential function as the anchor extends in the direction of the interior of the slope;the shear stress of BFRP anchor and anchorage body are unevenly distributed along the axial direction,with the maximum value occurring in the free section near the slope surface and decreases as the BFRP anchor extends towards the interior of the *** results can provide a theoretical basis for the optimal design of BFRP anchors.

The application of basalt fiber-reinforced polymer(BFRP)anchors has gained significant attention,particularly in the field of geotechnical anchorage engineering because of its high strength and corrosion *** research on the applicability of BFRP anchor in a tunnel–slope system under rainfall is of practical significance to solve the problem of instability damage to anchored slopes caused by corrosion of steel *** this study,model tests of BFRP and steel anchorage structures were conducted to compare their reinforcement capability in a tunnel–slope system under heavy *** results show that the BFRP anchorage structure is better than the steel in coordinating slope deformation and stabilizing earth pressure around the *** deformation of slopes under rainfall is classified into four stages:initial,isokinetic,accelerated,and blocked *** anchors have the same axial strain distribution pattern as the steel anchors,and they are convexly distributed along the axial direction of the *** correlation analysis and Pearson linear correlation analysis of the multi-attribute data of the slope and BFRP anchors showed a positive correlation among BFRP anchor strain,earth pressure inside the slope,slope deformation displacement,and accumulated *** research results provide a basis and reference for the application of BFRP anchors in the anchorage engineering of the tunnel–slope system under rainfall action.

Resilience-incorporated seismic risk assessment of precast concrete frames with“dry”connections

A resilience-incorporated risk assessment framework is proposed and demonstrated in this study to manifest the advantageous seismic resilience of precast concrete frame(PCF)structures with“dry”connections in terms of their low damage and rapid *** framework integrates various uncertainties in the seismic hazard,fragility,capacity,demand,loss functions,and post-earthquake *** this study,the PCF structures are distinguished from ordinary reinforced concrete frame(RCF)structures by characterizing multiple limit states for the PCF based on its unique damage ***,probabilistic story-wise pushover analyses are performed to yield story-wise capacities for the predefined limit *** the seismic resilience analysis,a step-wise recovery model is proposed to idealize the functionality recovery process,with separate considerations of the repair and non-repair *** recovery model leverages the economic loss and downtime to delineate the stochastic post-earthquake recovery curves for the resilience loss *** such,contingencies in the probabilistic post-earthquake repairs are incorporated and the empirical judgments on the recovery parameters are largely *** proposed framework is demonstrated through a comparative study between two“dry”connected PCFs and one RCF designed as alternative structural systems for a prototype *** results from the risk quantification indicate that the PCFs show reduced loss hazards and lower expected losses relative to the ***,the PCF equipped with energy dissipation devices at the“dry”connections largely reduces the expected economic loss,downtime,and resilience loss by 29%,56%,and 60%,respectively,compared to the RCF.

In seismology and earthquake engineering,it is fundamental to identify and characterize the pulse-like features in pulse-type ground *** capture the pulses that dominate structural responses,this study establishes congruence and shift relationships between response spectrum surfaces.A similarity search between spectrum surfaces,supplemented with a similarity search in time series,has been applied to characterize the pulse-like features in pulse-type ground *** identified pulses are tested in predicting the rocking consequences of slender rectangular blocks under the original ground ***,the prediction is promising for the majority of the ground motions where the dominant pulse is correctly identified.

Design and Implementation of Nonlinear Precoding for MIMO-SDMA Toward 6G Wireless

In this paper,we present a novel and robust nonlinear precoding(NLP)design and detection structure specifically tailored for multiple-input multipleoutput space division multiple access(MIMO-SDMA)systems toward 6G *** approach aims to effectively mitigate the impact of imperfect channel estimation by leveraging the channel fluctuation mean square error(MSE)for reconstructing a highly accurate precoding matrix at the ***,we introduce a simplified receiver structure that eliminates the need for equalization,resulting in reduced interference and notable enhancements in overall system *** conduct both computer simulations and experimental tests to validate the efficacy of our proposed *** results reveals that the proposed NLP scheme offers significant performance improvements,making it particularly well-suited for the forthcoming 6G wireless.

Aiming at the triangular fuzzy(TF)multi-attribute decision making(MADM)problem with a preference for the distribution density of attribute(DDA),a decision making method with TF number two-dimensional density(TFTD)operator is proposed based on the density operator theory for the decision maker(DM).Firstly,a simple TF vector clustering method is proposed,which considers the feature of TF number and the geometric distance of ***,the least deviation sum of squares method is used in the program model to obtain the density weight ***,two TFTD operators are defined,and the MADM method based on the TFTD operator is ***,a numerical example is given to illustrate the superiority of this method,which can not only solve the TF MADM problem with a preference for the DDA but also help the DM make an overall comparison.

Modeling analysis of cobalt-based Fischer-Tropsch catalyst particles

The influences of particle size,shape,and catalyst distribution on the reactivity and hydrocarbon product selectivity of a cobalt-based catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis were investigated in the present work.A self-consistent kinetic model for Fischer-Tropsch reaction proposed here was found to correlate experimental data well and hence was used to describe the consumption rates of reactants and formation rates of hydrocarbon *** perturbed-chain statistical associating fluid theory equation of state was used to describe vapor-liquid equilibrium behavior associated with Fischer-Tropsch *** interaction between intraparticle diffusion and Fischer-Tropsch reaction was investigated in *** showed that in order to avoid the adverse influence of intraparticle diffusional limitations on catalyst reactivity and product selectivity,the use of small particles is *** eggshell spherical particles are shown to keep the original catalyst reactivity and enhance the selectivity of heavy hydrocarbon *** suitable layer thickness for a spherical particle with a diameter of 2 mm is nearly 0.15 *** the same outer diameter of 2 mm,the catalyst reactivity and heavy product selectivity of hollow cylindrical particles with a layer thickness of 0.25 mm are found to be larger than eggshell spherical *** the viewpoint of catalytic performance,hollow cylindrical particles are a better choice for industrial applications.

AIM:To summarize the application of deep learning in detecting ophthalmic disease with ultrawide-field fundus images and analyze the advantages,limitations,and possible solutions common to all ***:We searched three academic databases,including PubMed,Web of Science,and Ovid,with the date of August *** matched and screened according to the target keywords and publication year and retrieved a total of 4358 research papers according to the keywords,of which 23 studies were retrieved on applying deep learning in diagnosing ophthalmic disease with ultrawide-field ***:Deep learning in ultrawide-field images can detect various ophthalmic diseases and achieve great performance,including diabetic retinopathy,glaucoma,age-related macular degeneration,retinal vein occlusions,retinal detachment,and other peripheral retinal *** to fundus images,the ultrawide-field fundus scanning laser ophthalmoscopy enables the capture of the ocular fundus up to 200°in a single exposure,which can observe more areas of the ***:The combination of ultrawide-field fundus images and artificial intelligence will achieve great performance in diagnosing multiple ophthalmic diseases in the future.
