High-order time-reversal symmetry breaking normal state

Spontaneous time-reversal symmetry breaking plays an important role in studying strongly correlated unconventional *** two superconducting gap functions with different symmetries compete,the relative phase channel(θ_(-)≡θ_(1)-θ_(2))exhibits an Ising-type Z_(2) symmetry due to the second order Josephson coupling,where θ_(1,2) are the phases of two gap *** contrast,the U(1) symmetry in the channel of θ_(+)≡(θ_(1)+θ_(2))/2 is *** phase locking,i.e.,ordering of θ_(-),can take place in the phase fluctuation regime before the onset of superconductivity,i.e.,when θ_(+) is *** θ_(-) is pinned at ±π/2,then timereversal symmetry is broken in the normal state,otherwise,if θ_(-)=0,or,π,rotational symmetry is broken,leading to a nematic normal *** both cases,the order parameters possess a 4-fermion structure beyond the scope of mean-field theory,which can be viewed as a high order symmetry *** employ an effective two-component XY-model assisted by a renormalization group analysis to address this *** a natural by-product,we also find the other interesting intermediate phase corresponds to ordering of θ_+ but with θ_(-)*** is the quartetting,or,charge-4e,superconductivity,which occurs above the low temperature Z_(2)-breaking charge-2e superconducting *** results provide useful guidance for studying novel symmetry breaking phases in strongly correlated superconductors.

A novel dandelion-based bionic proppant and its transportation mechanism in different types of fractures

Low-permeability reservoirs are generally characterized by low porosity and low permeability. Obtaining high production using the traditional method is technologically challenging because it yields a low reservoir recovery factor. In recent years, hydraulic fracturing technology is widely applied for efficiently exploiting and developing low-permeability reservoirs using a low-viscosity fluid as a fracturing ***, the transportation of the proppant is inefficient in the low-viscosity fluid, and the proppant has a low piling-up height in fracture channels. These key challenges restrict the fluid(natural gas or oil) flow in fracture channels and their functional flow areas, reducing the profits of hydrocarbon *** study aimed to explore and develop a novel dandelion-bionic proppant by modifying the surface of the proppant and the fiber. Its structure was similar to that of dandelion seeds, and it had high transport and stacking efficiency in low-viscosity liquids compared with the traditional ***, the transportation efficiency of this newly developed proppant was investigated experimentally using six different types of fracture models(tortuous fracture model, rough fracture model,narrow fracture model, complex fracture model, large-scale single fracture model, and small-scale single fracture model). Experimental results indicated that, compared with the traditional proppant, the transportation efficiency and the packing area of the dandelion-based bionic proppant significantly improved in tap water or low-viscosity fluid. Compared with the traditional proppant, the dandelionbased bionic proppant had 0.1-4 times longer transportation length, 0.3-5 times higher piling-up height, and 2-10 times larger placement area. The newly developed proppant also had some other extraordinary features. The tortuosity of the fracture did not influence the transportation of the novel proppant. Underground pumped storage power plant(UPSP)is an innovative concept for space recycling of abandoned *** realization requires better understanding of the dynamic performance and durability of reservoir *** paper conducted ultrasonic detection,split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)impact,mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP),and backscatter electron observation(BSE)tests to investigate the dynamical behaviour and microstructure of sandstone with cyclical dry-wet damage.A coupling FEM-DEM model was constructed for reappearing mesoscopic structure *** results show that dry-wet cycles decrease the dynamic compressive strength(DCS)with a maximum reduction of 39.40%,the elastic limit strength is reduced from 41.75 to 25.62 *** sieved fragments obtain the highest crack growth rate during the 23rd dry-wet cycle with a predictable life of 25 cycles for each rock *** pore fractal features of the macropores and micro-meso pores show great differences between the early and late cycles,which verifies the computational statistics analysis of particle *** numerical results show that the failure patterns are governed by the strain in pre-peak stage and the shear cracks are *** dry-wet cycles reduce the energy transfer efficiency and lead to the discretization of force chain and crack fields.

In this study,the separation and coalescence of oil-in-water emulsions are explored in an ultrasonic field using the lattice Boltzmann *** simulating the propagation of ultrasonic waves,this study focuses on examining the effects of acoustic wave frequency,the ratio of oil to water components,and the aspect ratio of the boundary on the emulsification and separation processes of oil-water *** following conclusions are drawn.①Frequency affects the speed of oil droplet separation,leading to an increase in droplet size over *** droplets are found near the source,while smaller droplets are distributed throughout the wave web.②As the boundary aspect ratio increases,the emulsification efficiency of the droplets weakens,and the system takes longer to stabilize.③Emulsions with a higher component of oil can better resist acoustic waves.④At the same acoustic frequency,longer wavelength ultrasonic fields promote the formation of uniformly distributed,smaller oil droplets,which is beneficial to the storage of *** numerical simulation results offer insights for optimizing conditions for oil-in-water separation and serve as a numerical reference for the study of oil-in-water emulsion separation in ultrasonic environments.

Peptide-drug conjugates have achieved considerable development and application as a novel strategy for targeted delivery of anticancer drugs. Bioactive peptides induced calcium deposition can irreversibly assist inhibition of tumors. However, active regulation of calcium level through signal transduction of bioactive substances has not been reported yet. In this study, novel neuropeptide-doxorubicin conjugates(NP-DOX) with lysosome-specific acid response were described for neuropeptide Y_1 receptor(Y_1R)-overexpressed triple-negative breast cancer. The delivery mechanism of NP-DOX was clarified that diverse pathways were involved, including intracellular and intercellular transport. Importantly, up-regulation of Y_1 R-mediated intracellular calcium level via second messenger inositol triphosphate was presented in NP-DOX treated MDA-MB-231 cells. In vivo antitumor efficacy demonstrated that NP-DOX showed less organ toxicity and enhanced tumor inhibition benefited from its controlled release and Y_1R-mediated calcium deposition, compared with free DOX. This bioconjugate is a proof-of-concept confirming that neuropeptide-mediated control of signaling responses in neuropeptide-drug conjugates enables great potential for further applications in tumor chemotherapy.

Astronomical Test with CMOS on the 60 cm Telescope at the Xinglong Observatory,NAOC

This work shows details of an evaluation of an observational system comprising a complementary metal-oxidesemiconductor detector, 60 cm telescope and filter complement. The system’s photometric precision and differential photometric precision, and extinction coefficients were assessed through observations of Supersky flat fields, open clusters, standard stars and exoplanets. Photometry was precision achieved at the 0.02 mag level, with differential photometry of 0.004 mag precision. Extinction was found to agree with previous studies conducted at Xinglong Observatory. Ultimately, the results demonstrate this observing system is capable of precision scientific observations with a charge-coupled device across the optical wavelengths.

董事高管责任保险与独立董事辞职——基于康美药业集体诉讼案冲击的视角

董事高管责任保险(简称“董责险”)是公司的“治理利器”还是管理者的“自利工具”,是学术界长期争议的问题。随着特别代表人诉讼制度常态化开展,保险市场中董责险的需求将迎来爆发式增长,董责险的治理效应亟需更为细致和丰富的经验证据。本文基于中国版集体诉讼第一案——康美药业集体诉讼案冲击的视角,从独立董事对履职风险感知后的主动辞职行为出发,考察了董责险的治理效应。研究发现:(1)在康美药业集体诉讼案引起的独立董事辞职潮中,董责险显著提高了独立董事的辞职概率。该结论在经过配对样本回归、工具变量法、Heckman两阶段回归以及Placebo安慰剂检验等方法对内生性问题进行测试后仍然成立;(2)当公司外部审计质量较低、所处地区金融发展水平较低时,独立董事更可能从投保董责险的公司中主动提出辞职;(3)董责险对信息劣势更大、监督能力更弱的独董辞职的正向影响关系更强,支持了本文关于独立董事辞职行为是对董责险负面治理效应的风险感知逻辑;(4)董责险对独立董事辞职的正向影响主要存在于康美药业集体诉讼案之后,凸显了中国版集体诉讼第一案的示范效应;(5)本文最后利用事件研究法发现,投保董责险的公司在康美药业集体诉讼案事件窗口内得到了显著为负的超额收益。这些结果表明,现阶段我国的董责险主要是管理者的“自利工具”而非公司的“治理利器”。本文不仅丰富和拓展了董责险治理效应和独立董事辞职等领域的研究文献,而且对于完善新发展阶段特别代表人诉讼制度和董责险制度具有重要的政策启示。
