Urinary metabolic profiles during Helicobacter pylori eradication in chronic gastritis

BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(***)infection is a major risk factor for chronic gastritis,affecting approximately half of the global *** eradication is a popular treatment method for ***-positive chronic gastritis,but its mecha-nism remains *** metabolomics has been used to elucidate the mechanisms of gastric disease ***,no clinical study has been conducted on urinary metabolomics of chronic *** To elucidate the urinary metabolic profiles during *** eradication in patients with chronic *** We applied LC–MS-based metabolomics and network pharmacology to in-vestigate the relationships between urinary metabolites and ***-positive chronic gastritis via a clinical follow-up *** Our study revealed the different urinary metabolic profiles of ***-positive chronic gastritis before and after *** *** metabolites regulated by *** eradication therapy include cis-aconitic acid,isocitric acid,citric acid,L-tyrosine,L-phenylalanine,L-tryptophan,and hippuric acid,which were involved in four metabolic pathways:(1)Phenylalanine metabolism;(2)phenylalanine,tyrosine,and tryptophan biosynthesis;(3)citrate cycle;and(4)glyoxylate and dicarboxylate *** metabolomics and network pharmacology revealed that MPO,COMT,TPO,TH,EPX,CMA1,DDC,TPH1,and LPO were the key proteins involved in the biological progress of *** eradication in chronic *** Our research provides a new perspective for exploring the significance of urinary metabolites in evaluating the treatment and prognosis of ***-positive chronic gastritis patients.

Surface wettability plays a significant role in reducing solid–liquid frictional resistance,especially the superhydrophilic/hydrophilic interface because of its excellent thermodynamic *** this work,poly(acrylic acid)-poly(acrylamide)(PAA–PAM)hydrogel coatings with different thicknesses were prepared in situ by polydopamine(PDA)-UV assisted surface catalytically initiated radical *** drag reduction performance of hydrogel surface was measured using a rotational rheometer by the plate–plate *** experimental results showed that the average drag reduction of hydrogel surface could reach up to about 56%in Couette flow,which was mainly due to the interfacial polymerization phenomenon that enhanced the ability of hydration layer to delay the momentum dissipation between fluid layers and the diffusion behavior of *** proposed drag reduction mechanism of hydrogel surface was expected to shed new light on hydrogel–liquid interface interaction and provide a new way for the development of steady-state drag reduction methods.

Refractory autoimmune hemolytic anemia in a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus and ulcerative colitis:A case report

BACKGROUND Ulcerative colitis(UC)and systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)are both systemic immunoreactive diseases,and their pathogenesis depends on the interaction between genes and environmental *** are no reports of UC with SLE in China,but six cases of SLE with UC have been reported in *** combination of these two diseases has distinct effects on the pathogenesis of both *** SUMMARY A female patient(30 years old)came to our hospital due to dull umbilical pain,diarrhea and mucous bloody stool in August 2018 and was diagnosed with *** symptoms were relieved after oral administration of mesalazine(1 g po tid)or folic acid(5 mg po qd),and the patient were fed a control *** June 24,2019,the patient was admitted for treatment due to anemia and *** hospitalization,the patient had repeated low-grade fever and a progressively decreased Hb *** tests revealed positive antinuclear antibody test,positive anti-dsDNA antibody,0.24 g/L C3(0.9-1.8 g/L),0.04 g/L C4(0.1-0.4 g/L),32.37 g/L immunoglobulin(8-17 g/L),and 31568.1 mg/24 h total 24-h urine protein(0-150 mg/24 h).The patient was diagnosed with SLE involving the joints,kidneys and blood *** reported cases of SLE were retrieved from PubMed to characterize clinicopathological features and identify prognostic factors for *** The patient was discharged in remission after a series of treatments,such as intravenous methylprednisolone sodium succinate,intravenous human immunoglobulin,cyclophosphamide injection,and plasma *** discharge,the patient took oral prednisone acetate tablets,cyclosporine capsules,hydroxychloroquine sulfate tablets and other treatments for symptoms and was followed up regularly for 1 month,after which the patient's condition continued to improve and stabilize.

Effect of the Filling Liquid Ratio on the Thermal Performance of a Novel Thermal Diode with Wick

The application of thermal diodes,which allow heat to flow more readily in one direction than the other,is an important way to reduce energy consumption in buildings and enhance the battery heat dissipation of electric *** on various factors including the specific design,materials used,and operating conditions,the convective thermal diode can exhibit the best thermal rectification effect in intended applications compared to the other thermal *** this study,a novel convective thermal diode with a wick was proposed based on the phase change heat transfer *** design takes advantage of both capillary forces provided by the wick and gravity to achieve enhanced unidirectional heat transfer performance for the designed convective thermal *** effect of the filling liquid ratio on the thermal performance of the thermal diode was experimentally investigated,which was in good agreement with the theoretical *** research findings showed that with an optimal liquid filling ratio of 140%,the thermal diode with a wick can achieve a better thermal rectification ratio when subjected to a lower heating power,and the maximum thermal rectification ratio of 21.76 was experimentally achieved when the heating power of the thermal diode was 40 W.

Laser ablation is an important process during Laser-Assisted Grinding(LAG)of hard and brittle *** realize controllable material removal during laser ablation of RB-SiC composites,ablation experiments under different Laser Energy Density(LAED)and LAG experiments are *** rules and mechanism of physical phase,ablation morphology and crack characteristics caused by laser irradiation are *** forces of LAG and Conventional Grinding(CG)are *** results show that ablation surface changes from slight oxidation to obvious material removal with LAED increasing,and ablation depth increases *** ablation products change from submicron SiO_(2)particles to nanoscale particles and *** LAED promotes SiC decomposition and sublimation,which leads to the increase of C *** SiC phase forms corrugated shape in recast layer and columnar shape in Heat Affected Zone(HAZ)at 56 J/mm^(2).The cold and heat cycle leads to formation of fishbone *** ablation specimen under 30 J/mm^(2),the grinding force can be reduced by a maximum of 39%and brittle damage region is *** material removal and microcrack generated will significantly reduce the hardness and improve machinability,which can promote grinding efficiency.

Macroscopic model and statistical model to characterize electromagnetic information of a digital coding metasurface

A digital coding metasurface is a platform connecting the digital space and electromagnetic wave space, and has therefore gained much attention due to its intriguing value in reshaping wireless channels and realizing new communication architectures. Correspondingly, there is an urgent need for electromagnetic information theory that reveals the upper limit of communication capacity and supports the accurate design of metasurface-based communication systems. To this end, we propose a macroscopic model and a statistical model of the digital coding metasurface. The macroscopic model uniformly accommodates both digital and electromagnetic aspects of the meta-atoms and predicts all possible scattered fields of the digital coding metasurface based on a small number of simulations or measurements. Full-wave simulations and experimental results show that the macroscopic model is feasible and accurate. A statistical model is further proposed to correlate the mutual coupling between meta-atoms with covariance and to calculate the entropy of the equivalent currents of digital coding metasurface. These two models can help reconfigurable intelligent surfaces achieve more accurate beamforming and channel estimation, and thus improve signal power and coverage. Moreover, the models will encourage the creation of a precoding codebook in metasurface-based direct digital modulation systems, with the aim of approaching the upper limit of channel capacity. With these two models, the concepts of current space and current entropy, as well as the analysis of information loss from the coding space to wave space, is established for the first time, helping to bridge the gap between the digital world and the physical world, and advancing developments of electromagnetic information theory and new-architecture wireless systems.

Microplastics(MPs)have become a significant concern for their potential ***,the correlation between the size of plastic particles and their toxicity remains ***,we investigate the toxic effects of different sizes(80 nm,800 nm,8μm and 80μm)polystyrene MPs(PS-MPs)on the model organism Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus).The results of bioluminescent imaging indicate that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to invade the body.H&E staining shows severe damage on the intestinal villi and distinct hepatic steatosis in the 80 nm *** U labeling shows that the proliferation activity of intestinal and liver cells reduces significantly in the 80 nm *** gut microbiome analysis shows a severe imbalance of gut microbiota homeostasis in the 80 nm *** analysis of liver transcriptomics and metabolomics shows that the liver lipid metabolism is disordered in the 80 nm *** conclusion,this study confirms that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to induce intestinal and liver *** the above lay the foundation for further study on the pathological damage of MPs to other organisms.

Interfacial modification using the cross-linkable tannic acid for highly-efficient perovskite solar cells with excellent stability

Although the performance of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)has been dramatically increased in recent years,stability is still the main obstacle preventing the PSCs from being *** device instability can be caused by a variety of reasons,including ions diffusion,surface and grain boundary defects,*** this work,the cross-linkable tannic acid(TA)is introduced to modify perovskite film through post-treatment *** numerous organic functional groups(–OH and C=O)in TA can interact with the uncoordinated Pb^(2+)and I^(-)ions in perovskite,thus passivating defects and inhibiting ions *** addition,the formed TA network can absorb a small amount of the residual moisture inside the device to protect the perovskite ***,TA modification regulates the energy level of perovskite,and reduces interfacial charge ***,following TA treatment,the device efficiency is increased significantly from 21.31%to 23.11%,with a decreased hysteresis ***,the treated device shows excellent air,thermal,and operational *** light of this,the readily available,inexpensive TA has the potential to operate as a multipurpose interfacial modifier to increase device efficiency while also enhancing device stability.

Mn-rich LiFe_(1-x)Mn_(x)PO_(4)(x>0.5),which combines the high operation voltage of LiMnPO_(4)with excellent rate performa nce of LiFePO4,is hindered by its sluggish kinetic ***,thermodynamic equilibrium analysis of Mn^(2+)-Fe^(2+)-Mg^(2+)-C_(2)O_(4)^(2-)-H_(2)O system is used to guide the design and preparation of insitu Mg-doped(Fe_(0.4)Mn_(0.6))_(1-x)Mg_(x)C_(2)O_(4)intermediate,which is then employed as an innovative precursor to synthesize high-performance Mg-doped LiFe_(0.4)Mn_(0.6)PO_(4).It indicates that the metal ions with a high precipitation efficiency and the stoichiometric precursors with uniform element distribution can be achieved under the optimized thermodynamic ***,accelerated Li+diffusivity and reduced charge transfer resistance originating from Mg doping are verified by various kinetic *** from the contributions of inherited homogeneous element distribution,small particle size,uniform carbon layer coating,enhanced Li+migration ability and structural stability induced by Mg doping,the Li(Fe_(0.4)Mn_(0.6))_(0.97)Mg_(0.03)PO_(4)/C exhibits splendid electrochemical performance.
