No-wait flow shops with makespan minimization are classified as NP-hard. In this paper, the optimization objective is equivalently transformed to total idle-time minimization. The independence relationship between tasks is analyzed, and objective increment properties are established for the fundamental operators of the heuristics. The quality of the new schedules generated during a heuristic is judged only by objective increments and not by the traditional method, which computes and compares the objective of a whole schedule. Based on objective increments, the time complexity of the heuristic can be decreased by one order. A seed phase is presented to generate an initial solution according to the transformed objective. Construction and improvement phases are introduced by experimental analysis. The FCH （fast composite heuristic） is proposed and compared with the most effective algorithms currently available for the considered problem. Experimental results show that the effectiveness of the FCH is similar to that of the best methods but requires far less computation time. The FCH can also be efficient in real time scheduling and rescheduling for no-wait flow shops.

Renewable energy,such as wind and solar energy,may vary signifi cantly over time and locations depending on the weather and the climate *** leads to the supply uncertainty in the electricity(power) market with renewable energy integrated to power *** this paper,electricity in the market is classified into two types:stablesupply electricity(SSE) and unstablesupply electricity(USE).We investigate the investment and pricing strategies under the electricity supply uncertainty in wholesale and retail electricity *** particular,our model combines the wholesale and retail market and capture the dominant players,i.e.,consumers,power plant(power operator),and electricity *** derive the market behaviors of these players,we formulate the market decision problems as a multistage Stackelberg *** solving the game model,we obtain the optimal,with closedform,wholesale investment and retail pricing strategy for the *** also obtain the energy supplier's best price mechanism numerically under certain *** fi nd the price of SSE being about 1.4 times higher than that of USE will benefi t energy supplieroptimally,under which power plant's optimal strategy of investing is to purchase USE about 4.5 times much more than SSE.

＜正＞ The placement algorithm based on Less Flexibility First （LFF） principles is a deterministic algorithm through human’s accumulated experience. Experiment results demonstrate that the algorithm is effective and promising in building block layout application. In this paper, we extended LFF principles to handle arbitrary rectilinear blocks and blocks with relative constraints. The experiment results are demonstrated by some benchmark and the performance shows efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed method.

＜正＞The interconnect architecture is essential to the performance of the interconnection network,so it is very significant to design a new cost-effective interconnect architecture.2D meshes are the most popular interconnect architecture for interconnection ***,the diameter and average distance of a 2D mesh are large enough,which greatly influence performance of the *** paper presents a novel interconnect architecture called TM,which combines the advantages of both a 2D torus and a 2D *** an n×n network,the total number of links in a TM is the same as that in a mesh,while the diameter of a TM is extremely close to that of a ***,the average distance of a TM is at the middle of that of a torus and that of a *** prevent deadlocks in TMs,a deadlock avoidance scheme,called channel overlapping,is adopted in TM network by combining with the virtual network partitioning ***,both the deterministic and fully adaptive routing techniques in TMs are proposed in this *** simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the TM network and the new routing schemes proposed for it by comparing with the mesh *** TM network provides average distance and diameter reduction,which contributes to the performance *** proposed interconnect architecture shows performance improvement in the aspect of both latency and accepted traffic,when compared to a 2D mesh network.

As an important task of multi-relational data mining, multi-relational classification can directly look for patterns that involve multiple relations from a relational database and have more advantages than propositional data mining approaches. According to the differences in knowledge representation and strategy, the paper researched three kind of multi-relational classification approaches that are ILP based, graph-based and relational database-based classification approaches and discussed each relational classification technology, their characteristics, the comparisons and several challenging researching problems in detail.
